Please don't put dogs on your website that aren't available. Yesterday morning I drove 50 min to get there (first in line) just to get laughed at. Mind you, this is from your commercial Christmas Day on the TV. Thank you ?

MALIA - ID#A284915This dog above is one of 3 dogs that just killed my aunts dog 1 week ago. I cannot believe these 3 dogs are up for adoption at this place after this happened. I do not know who's fault this is, but please nobody adopt them!! They are dangerous and could hurt a dog or kid!

I would have gave 5 stars but the Lady with a pixie cut up front was slight on edge. Understandably since it was Friday. Also should have more ppl checking in/out customers. She firmly let me know she can't quite multi-task (I tried to ask if the gentleman in the other office could take my paper)

I adopted my first cat in 2010, the second cat in 2017 and just recently my third in 2023,All cats are still alive and happy, great place if you are looking to adopt a cat, different volunteers on different days, if you come with the right attitude and understand how busy they are sometimes, you will have a great experience like I did

About half a year ago I adopted my dog and the volunteers who helped me were very helpful and friendly finding my perfect pup.But recently I went with my grandpa who has had dogs all his life, One of the volunteers took a glance at him on crutches and immediately said no you shouldn't/can't have a puppy (1 year old) you need an elder dog. Without even listening to what he was looking for in a dog.He was looking for an inside and outside dog, after his 12 year old 80 lb dog passed away, to patrol and bark at things in the yard, and be a family member with him and his wife.Other volunteers heard the word "outside dog" and immediately became aggravated and judgmental without listening to the entire situation.Dogs can be pets as well as workers. livestock guardian dogs spend all day outside and they're happy and healthy. I don't understand why they immediately got aggravated and offended when the dog my grandfather was looking for would still be offered inside, access to AC, and have a family that would take care of them and bond with them.

If your looking for your new companion, dog or cat, this shelter is a great first stop. Kind, friendly and caring help. So many opportunities to engage and meet your next best friend. Be a part of the solution, adopt, don’t shop.

They decide if the animal is right for you, they think they are experts in animals and that they care for and protect them, when the first thing they do is sterilize it.

I moved here from Colorado a few months back and I'm living with my sister. At the moment, I'm not able to care for my dog. I attempted to surrender my pet, and they told me I needed to make an appointment. I informed them I don't have money to feed her, they said since I'm the owner, it's my responsibility to figure it out. I wonder now if this facility really cares for animals or if they're just wanting to get a paycheck at the end of every week. Very sad to me

I stopped to donate a dog bed for these precious souls dumped at DAS. I was waiting behind a cultured man who was adopting a DOG for BREEDING ?? The nice girl employee informed him must have the dog fixed in order to adopt or pay a $200. Vet approval to be used for breeding. Of course didn't understand English at that point ?? This is A HUGE PROBLEM NOW IN OUR COMMUNITY DUE TO WRONG PEOPLE ADOPTING and ACQUIRING AN ANIMAL TO BE USE FOR BREEDING TO PAY THEIR BILLS AND NOT BELIEVING IN SPAY & NEUTER!!!! COMPRENDO PEOPLE!!! WE WONDER WHY THE HOMELESS ANIMAL POPULATION IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHY!!!! WE NEED STRICT LAWS & ENFORCEMENT TO PREVENT THIS TRAGIC OUTCOME FOR THESE POOR ANIMALS ??????

This is the second time I have tried to get info on dogs that are on their website. The first time they did not call back and by the time I called again (and again) the dog already had 3 people waiting to adopt it. Today I was interested in another dog so I called and left 2 messages (the recording said they would call back); they did not call back - after I had held for about 45 minutes this time. They would probably be able to adopt out more pets if they would only get back with people!

Disgusting people. Don't take a lost dog here!!! if the owner comes and picks him up they will force you to Neuter and VACCINATE YOUR DOG TO REALEASE HIM. THIEFS AND MURDERS AT THE SAME TIME

My hubby and I went yesterday to adopt a dog. Went to see a husky that we saw online and we fell in love with her. She can't come home yet until she is spaded and chipped. Then went back today to see her Mohida again and take some pics of her. We named her Mohida.

They act like they actually care about the animals but they don’t. They are unprofessional. I had very unpleasant experience here.
