The Contractors who Myakka City Post Office is using for delivery were nothing but disappointment this year. I am receiving medical treatment for life threatening disease and I was expecting 2 letters today, 11/13/2023 that were marked as being "Out for delivery" according to the daily emails I'm receiving from USPS.When all the junk mail was delivered by the normal for my Post Service time to my address and nothing of the important mail was there, I contacted the Myakka Post Office and spoke with very nice and pleasant lady who told me that the other mail will be delivered and explained why the delay.I must stress that my problem is not with the People operating the Myakka Post Office, but with the actual delivery person who covered my address today...What was my surprise when at 8:01 PM I received a text that my two packages (one with new eyeglasses, that I need in order to function), and my very time sensitive, 2 letters from my health insurance, covering my treatment, were marked as delivered, but it was absolutely nothing in my mail box on Verna Bethany...Why the contractor had to lie and marked the mail as delivered ?How do I know at 8 at night if the mail will arrive tomorrow - Tue 11/14/2023 or it was misplaced in another PO Box or just lost !?!This is not a first occasion like this but today the mail was very important to me because it's time sensitive and I can lose my health insurance if I don't answer whatever they ask me in those two letters.I'll call tomorrow and I'm hoping I'll finally get my mail, but should I expect such ordeal to happen so often with something as my mail ?!?I hate to say the Cliché but where my taxes are going, really ???

One of these employees in their white usps van turned left on to 70 while I was heading west, they pulled out right in front of me, I had to slam on my breaks and ALMOST T boned them, to the point my entire back is sore. In my opinion this is a DANGEROUS driver!! Pay attention, half your job is driving!

What a pleasure dealing with the folks at the Myakka Post Office. So nice and friendly and go over the top to make your experience the best… And it always is! I drove 15 minutes in the opposite direction of Sarasota. just to come to the Myakka Post Office!

I have lived in 23 different states in 34 years. Within those 23 states I have lived in multiple counties; this means I have experienced more than my fair share of various USPS locations.. some good, others not.This USPS location however, I have never in my entire life experienced such diligent and sincere customer service than I have here.. not just referring to USPS customer service either, but in general.I am recovering from an experimental surgery and these people went above and beyond to ensure that a solution is formulated as quickly as possible for me.This wasn't a quick one conversation fix either. Throughout the day the Young Miss (so sorry I don't remember your name Curly Blonde Hair Miss but if you read this then please comment it so others know) continued to contact me via my cell phone throughout the day to update me and ask my position and perspective in certain things to see if any of the latest updates or info offered a viable solution for me.Once we settled on a solution the Postmaster himself went out of his way to bring me my package and also the Postal delivery driver (who I never got to meet) was covering two routes and STILL coordinated with the other USPS employees after getting a flat tire to still try and contribute towards a solution that works for me.Almost has me in tears because I am truly SO overwhelmed by how wonderful and pleasant and considerate these people were.Thank you all for everything and I sincerely wish all of you, my absolute best.

What a joke of a delivery they need new delivery services even if they hire temps they mark your packages as delivered only to deliver the packages 45 minutes later and make you run up and just go oh well we actually just dropped it off even though you came all the way up here and we said we dropped it off earlier avoid if possible I’m sorry if this is the only options you have

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Marked package as delivered and handed to resident. Put in an inquiry and magically it shows up. Got a call from lady who lied her face off trying to say the package was there. Horrible attitude and doesn't need to be working with the public.

Had a package that needed a signature upon delivery when the day came for it to be dropped off I watched the delivery van pull up to the mailbox at the end of my dive and then just drive away leaving a "sorry we missed you" ticket on some other mail inside my mailbox the driver never even drove down the driveway or anything

Get a note Saturday mail boxes not in compliance to low went to post office 10 days to fix no mail delivery till fixed really been there 25 years all of a sudden problem premadonnas.

I have never in my life had so many problems with the mail carrier than I do with this post office. If I order anything online I have to have it delivered in town to my parents house. Last year I ordered Christmas online. I didn’t get one package. The mail guy had to go and collect my packages by that time Christmas was over. Each piece of mail or package I do get, the persons house it was delivered at writes on the packages and mail not this address. I was waiting on letters and paperwork for my sons appointments at all children’s. I got them yesterday and they were post marked for June. Just today, I was waiting for yet two packages. Tracking number said it was delivered, yet it wasn’t. I drove to the persons house that my packages always go to and they were in her mailbox. I have called and complained and the guy said he would put letters in our mailbox to catch the drivers attention. Clearly, that didn’t help. I live on crosby and my packages go to Brandiff. Like it’s two different names. STOP DELIVERING MY PACKAGES TO OTHER HOUSES!

This post office is fantastic. They are always watching to make sure we get our mail even if its not written correctly. They are always pleasant and assist in every way they can. I work here in Myakka. I wish my post office was this good where I live in Port Charlotte!
