I was sold a ring being sold as 14k gold after looking closely at the ring later that night it is electroplated and basically worthless. Watch out for what you buy here....

Buyer beware... they sell replica atocha coins for astronomical prices! $500 + later... I was told by numerous jewelers it's basically worth nothing. Very little gold on the coin to justify price. They give a certificate of authenticity. You think you have bought a hidden treasure. Look online, they sell for $85 -$170. Very misleading. If you question them, the owners wife becomes rude, says she refuses to discuss the matter. Won't answer the phone. She then agreed to repurchase for $189. ( So they can obviously re -sell for another profit) Just because you are in a tourist area does not mean you can take advantage of customers. I would not trust this business under any circumstances. We since bought a comparable coin with more gold throughout and much more substantial for less money. Please do your homework before throwing your money away.

I ordered a fried snapper and it was not fresh, the food tasted bad, I couldn't eat it and had to pay. impossible to eat. Terrible service

Honest service. EXTRAORDINARY. My husband gave me this ring on our 15th anniversary which symbolized a new beginning in our marriage. 3 years ago I went to the place I purchased it for its annual checkup. They told me that all 5 diamonds were loose and I should not even wear it until I gave them $475 to secure them. In the box it went until we could see spending the extra cash. I picked up an imitation ring to function as my wedding ring. Recently we sensed it was time to get my ring back on my hand and thought it best to find a local private jeweler, The Gold Exchange downtown Mount Dora. When I went to pick it up today, I learned that it just needed a bit of tightening and polishing. The charge?? Here I had not enjoyed my beautiful symbol for 3 years. I was so overjoyed to see my beautiful ring on my finger I broke into tears. The fabulous lady who served us appreciated the meaning and joined me in celebration. We have found our new jeweler!

I wouldn't even give them a star but since I have to b cause this place is not only rude but refused service when it was hours posted as OPEN and wouldn't allow me in, First time coming to this place because I was referred to go there and it was on a Saturday which by Google they don't close till 6pm BUT they had a sign posted saying closing was changed early to 5pm due to labor day weekend BUT also I was there WELL BEFORE 5pm and the doors were locked and someone waved me off.... Little baffled yes I just left but then I decided to just call them to see what was up and when I called a woman answered the phone exactly saying,\"Mount Dora Gold exchange,\" I proceed to then ask if they were open and the lady then quickly said twice,*you have the wrong number\" and just hung up on me and wouldn't answer again when I called back.

Misael "the manager" was very rude Whit me and my wife, and charged double. that's why I don't recommend this Getto place. the manager is a idiot and he stolen the people money.

Great experience! Sold a ring for a friend on consignment. Very straight forward process. I also purchased some items and can attest to the veteran industry experience of the staff. I highly recommend stopping in to check out their vast display of jewelry.
