Matamo Designs might be the most unique gift store in Mt Dora. They have one-of-a-kind gifts you can’t find anywhere else, and not the usually cheesy stuff. Going through this little downtown Mt Dora shop is like a little adventure, because you never know what you are going to find.

Matamo is one of my favorite downtown Mt Dora shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have amazing home decor items. This time of year, they also have lots of cute Christmas ornaments and other Christmas decor. A must see.

Very cute store located on the north corner of Mt Dora downtown. Unique gift and home decor items. Staff has always been pleasant and kind, even when we have our kids in tow. Mostly reasonably priced high quality items; a few items seem to have a little bit of a high markup. Store is not ideal for strollers but it can be done.

We had a delightful visit both on Saturday with an employee and Monday with the owners. Both were super friendly greeting us immediately and willing to help! I had a return they gladly took care of and replaced with a perfect pair of earrings. They also highly recommended two lunch places. The Salted Fry was such a delightful place with terrific food! Both places added to the charm that Mt Dora has always had!

I have been in the store a few times and have yet to be greeted by anyone working there. Today, I was literally the only one in and still received the same poor customer service. I’ll save my time from now on and continue to spend my money elsewhere.

I found this spot while walking around Lake Dora Village. I purchased a bracelet and they had really nice things but I didn’t get anything else because I was limited on baggage for travel. I was staying with a friend and there was something in her bathroom that I loved it was a flower with a string attached to it that went into a pot or a flower pot of scented oils and I had remarked how much I liked it the following day. She proceeded to tell me she got it at Matamo! I couldn’t believe it. I definitely would’ve bought that if I had seen it. I was hoping there was a website that I could purchase it through but unfortunately I don’t see one please notify me if you do have a website thank you so much great experience

Absolutely amazing store! Such a variety of items, very well displayed. The owner is so nice we visited near to closing and had dinner reservations so we only got one item, but will definitely be back! Just look for the purple Christmas tree in the store window next to Donnely Park, you won't be disappointed!

This store in Mount Dora just lost 60.00 sale. I walked up to the counter, put 60.00 worth of merchandise on the counter and she literally said you can't buy without a mask on. Stupidity at it's finest

This is an excellent and unique boutique gift shop in Mount Dora and very worthy of a visit. It's at the corner of N. Donnelly and 441. A lot of unique home decor items and has a clean, inviting atmosphere. A lot of thought and effort went into creating the store from smells, to a nice background music, to really organized and unique offering. This is one of the top shops in the area.
