I bought a very expensive cake plate in September 2022. The cake plate set on my kitchen counter with nothing sitting near it. In November 2022 I hosted a card party and displayed homemade cookies on the plate. A friend was taking a cookie off the plate and noticed a huge crack from one side to the other. I sent the owner an email which he never responded. Because I live an hour and a half away I didn't make a trip for this until one was scheduled in February 2023. I explained to the owner exactly what happened. He was not interested in my story. I understand there are people who can be very deceitful but I am not that type of person. I've actually purchased the same cake plate for a friends birthday. He threw me out of his store because I made a negative comment. It was very scary. Something like this has never happened to me. I will never buy anther piece from him. BEWARE OF THIS STORE.

Wonderful shop. Incredible selection of hand made glass art. Both art and functional. All beautiful. The owner, Sheldon, is very interesting and informative. He's been working in glass since 1985. He started in the shop learning as a young man and bought the business when the owner passed. Definitely visit when in wonderful Mount Dora!

Recently visited Lee Fusion Art Glass Studio in Mt. Dora, FL with my parents. My mom wanted to purchase a Thomas Kincaid Wizard of Oz anniversary reproduction. The store employee (did not catch his name) gave us the price and mom asked him to take it down and wrap it up for purchase. He made a couple of snarky remarks about not having anything large enough to wrap it but he found some tissue paper sheets and started to wrap the item. The paper was too small to wrap the art so he was going to use several pieces and tape it on the front of the artwork. My mom asked if he could tape it on the back instead. He then told us that he “did not think that we wanted to buy the item “ and “thank you have a good day” and motioned us out the door. It was so shocking that we had to have him repeat it but basically he was throwing us out of the store and not allowing us to purchase the art. We were all totally shocked at his behavior but we left the store and have no intention of returning in the future! Buyers beware of this store that will treat you terribly and clearly does not want to make a sale!!!

I came into the store with my sibling looking for a Christmas present for our mom. The interaction started out nice, with the man at the counter telling us about the pieces and our group admiring pieces that we thought our mom would like. After about 5 minutes in the store, with absolutely no negative interaction, the man behind the counter told us “I don’t think you’re going to find what you’re looking for” and motioned us to the door. Out of total confusion, I asked him to repeat himself. He said it again, and sent us out of the door. We couldn’t have been in the store for more than 5 minutes. I have no idea why he didn’t want us in the store, but I am obviously very unimpressed with his business practices.

Beautiful work. Put in a custom order and he was very clear that it could take weeks or months. We are artists ourselves and totally understand the artistic process. We purchased some colored glasses and love them so much. His dinnerware are statement pieces and will be displayed as much as they are used

Lee Fusion Art Glass has never, and I repeat never been "taken to court". Any person may check the Lake County Court records and find that information. This person claiming that had clearly misunderstood how consignment works. Any person who reads that review, must know the full circumstances of the situation before making any judgment. Lee Art Glass has been in business for nearly 15 years here, and we are proud of our integrity.

I am an artist who had stained glass items in the store on consignment basis. The owner did not want to pay me for items he sold. I have had to take the company to court! Not cool, no respect for local artists.

First of all, I can't believe someone would leave a long negative review for a sub-$10 item...if you don't have $10 cash...don't go shopping!!!Anyway...we know this store because he also owns a cool store in Maine. We live his stores and he is a great person!!!

I wish Google would allow a zero star rating for businesses such as this. I placed a custom order on April 9th at the friendly cashiers recommendation, she assured me it wasn't a big deal, that I would be contacted within a week to verify the order. This was a gift I was hand delivering in Texas so I asked if it would be ready by May 1st, she assured me that it would be completed within couple of weeks. On May 5th when I hadn't heard a word from anyone I started trying to call the shop. The phone number on the receipt was disconnected, the phone number on the website gave an error code and wouldn't accept messages, emails to customer support were unreturned and when a message was sent through Facebook it was ignored. It wasn't until May 13th, a full week after I returned from Texas that I finally got ahold of the shop, the same friendly cashier said she would have someone call me. The 'artist' Sheldon called me and was obnoxious and rude from the word hello. He stated I had harassed him by daring to call and inquire about items I was assured would be completed and had already paid for, that I just didn't understand the creative process and after all it had only been a month and four days. When I called him on his rudeness, I was told to get over myself, he was a super successful artist that wasn't concerned with one persons opinion....The website states 100% satisfied, it just didn't clarify that the 100% has nothing to do with the customer. Buyer beware.

The cashier-artist told me that certain items were 25% off, and so I attempted to purchase a sub-$10 item with my credit card. I assume there may have been a sign somewhere listing the minimum credit card purchase amount (at least I hope there was), but if there was I missed it. The cashier informed me that they couldn't take a credit card for that amount, and so I told the cashier directly that I had no cash.I understand that many business can't afford credit card processing fees on low-priced items, and so that was not an issue with me. I was not mad, and I made no move to complain about anything.Instead of ending our interaction by pointing at a min purchase requirement sign or saying "sorry" or saying nothing, or anything remotely normal, the cashier decided to toss the item onto the counter and inform me in a condescending/frustrated tone that he was already giving me a discount, and so he wouldn't make any money off of a credit card purchase. It is a true statement--I'm no idiot--but why was it in any way necessary to tack that comment on to the end of our interaction? From my point of view, it was condescending and unnecessary, making me feel as if I were intentionally imposing upon the business. If the cashier had not said that, I might've returned to the store with cash, but I was so surprised that I walked out with no intention of going back.
