Current customer. No one answers the phone. No one returns calls. No one returns email. Remote manager Jorge? They are charging me for the first full month that was supposed to be free with there promotion but can't reach anyone to discuss. Very hard place to get in/out of with a moving truck/truck and trailer. Looks like I will be moving my things yet again.

We found My Place Self Storage online and decided to give them a try! We met Jennifer and right away she took care of us. It was a quick and simple process but she took the time to drive us, explain everything in detail and it was a delight working with her. Excellent prices too!

I do not write reviews but this situation warrants one. There is no option for Zero stars for this review of My Place Self Storage Mount Dora, Florida, written June 4, 2024.
My storage units were paid up to date to June 15, 2024. On May 8, 2024, I extended payments to October 15, 2024, in office in person to staff who accepted $2918.86 for insurance and storage for four months. Eight days later while out of town I received an email stating rents had increased and were due Jun 15, 2024. This was confusing and frustrating.
I vacated the units May 27, 2024, and documented the clean and empty units by photos with date and time stamps showing May 27, 2024.
May 28, 2024, when the office reopened after the holiday, I informed staff in person that I vacated the units, got a staff signature documenting that the three units were now vacated and requested my refund. I was told "we don't give refunds" or "accept early payments anymore."
I am owed a $3210.66 refund for unused storage from June 1, 2024 to October 15, 2024.
No one in the office has any authority nor can refer you to the current owner or manager.
When the business assumed ownership from the well respected Harris Mini Storage family in April, 2022, no posting of new policies or new terms of operation were evident in the office. I was a Tenant of the original Harris Mini Storage Company. I was not offered a new lease from the new owners. There are always grey areas in business. Reputable businesses take pride and shine a light on their honest and fair dealings with clients.
This is real advice from a long time customer in Mount Dora: Check dates on any reviews posted and AVOID My Place Self Storage Mount Dora at all costs!

Harris Oil Company/Harris Mini Storage is NOT affiliated with my place self storage. Harris Mini sold to my place in April 2022 and is no longer in operation.

It's Harris oil company where you can buy Regular Gasoline without the ethanol,but it cost a little bit more than other stations such as where you could buy Gasoline for most cars and trucks that are not carbureted and have feul injection instead.
