Rosa is amazing! She understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a great cut and blowout. My hair had so much body and bounce after! Also, she does the best shampoo massage I've ever had. I will be back and highly recommend her.

I've been going here for years b/c it's closest to my house. I have seen stylists who've come & gone, but Michelle sticks out with me & I will be requesting her as my 'go-to' from now on. She is personable & kind & really treats her clientele well. Thank you Michelle for always doing a wonderful job with my hair! ♥
Requested style: I requested a straight bob w/bangs and she made it happen very nicely!
Stylist: Michelle is my stylist, and I like her work ethic very much so like me! ;) She is thorough & efficient & friendly & she will talk with you or let you sit & relax, she goes with the flow & I luv that in a stylist! She's always accurate on what I ask for and she shares her knowledge when opportunity arises. ;)

I have wavy/curly hair and have always bounced around between stylists because no one has ever really nailed the right cut for my hair... I went to this location on a whim a few months ago, and Rose Staley gave me my FAVORITE cut I've ever had. I've gone back twice now, and I've told her she's not allowed to go anywhere because she is the best. Thanks Rose!

I have been going to Hair Cuttery in Mount Dora for a few years now, and have had an amazing experience each time. Everyone is always so sweet, but Rose Staley is the stylist I usually request; she is incredible!!! She has done everything for me, such as; a simple cut, coloring, and keratin treatments. And I’ve been extremely happy every time! I will definitely continue to visit their salon. ❤️

My Disheartening Experience at Mt. Dora Hair Cuttery...
Today was probably the worst experience at Mt. Dora Hair Cuttery. I usually avoid discussing race, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I walked in at 6:30 p.m., knowing they closed at 9:00 p.m. I live around the corner and have been a resident of Florida most of my life as an Asian American.
Upon entering, I noticed a stylist washing a little boy's hair while his mother, both Caucasian, stood nearby. When she asked how she could help, I requested a haircut. She responded by saying she was alone and could not cut my hair, asking me to leave. There was no one else waiting, so I assumed she was busy with appointments.
I decided to have an early dinner at Beef O'Brady's and returned around 8:00 p.m. to find the doors shut and the lights off.
I typically avoid writing negative reviews, understanding the challenges of running a business in Florida. However, this experience felt like a violation of my rights. I sincerely hope this business reconsiders its customer service practices.
maybe it's not a race thing all together but just bad customer service.

Rosa gave me the best cut and color of my life… She was able to fit me in on a same day appointment and attentively listened to everything I wanted done with my hair. I could tell she was very knowledgeable. On top of that, she is very kind and will make you feel comfortable.
