Only 3 stars because I have a feeling my trans was swapped with some elses. I dropped mine with no torque converter for a performance stage 2 4l80e build. When I picked it up, Tammy at the front desk swore it came with a converter. The technician when we loaded it swore it came in with a converter. I bought this trans used with 100% no converter because it was damaged when removed, and I planned on getting a aftermarket one. It's just an uneasy feeling that I could have a receipt for a performance build, but actually a mixed up accidentally stock rebuild transmission. I won't be able to install it and find out before the warranty is up. I should have marked the case before I dropped it off.

This is not really a full service shop. They only work on certain vehicle brands and types of transmissions. Disappointing.

I had my Tahoe towed over to them from Bunnell and I could not be happier. Communication was great the entire time. They were honest and got the job done a lot quicker than I expected. Definitely recommend!

Brought my10 F150 in for a rebuild (269,400 miles)
Couldn't be happier, i was invited by Tammy to look at my transmission after it was disassembled and have never seen a shop so clean! All i can say is wow, if the attention to detail is a clean and organized shop, how will they take care of your needs? With care….. Honest and good people ?

As always, great experience! Quick one day service to correct a pan gasket install another shop replaced to repair a rear seal on the engine of my 79 Trans Am. Best transmission shop around?!

I had a catastrophic transmission issue,
The drive shaft came out at the transmission end, while driving. On my 01 ford 4x4
Causing major damage.
Clay transmission went above and beyond to fix all the damage, I am so thankful to know that there is still a locally owned company, that cares about the people that live in there community, I give them a10 on a10 scale, and will definitely recommend this Company.

I have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder that was built with a defective CVT Transmission. The transmission started to “skip”. I hoped it wasn’t the defect so I took it to Clay County Transmission and had them check to make sure it wasn’t just a fluid issue. They confirmed it was the transmission and gave me a break on the charge. The bright spot in this gloomy situation was Tammy who works in the office. She very helpful, friendly, and sympathetic with my situation. Don’t be fooled, there is only one Clay County Transmission and it’s on County Road 220 on the border of Middleburg and Fleming Island.

I had my transmission rebuilt. They said 3 days to do the work and I picked it up on day 3. Works great. The lady that runs the office was great help. She explained what was being done and kept me.updated. All in all it went great. Thanks.
