The park has lovely camping sites, including spots away from RVs. The trails are nice, too, and include both forested paths and a sunny trail along Cone Dike that takes you out into the Prairie. We enjoyed a film at the visitors' center that shows how the prairie's vegetation and hydrology change through the four seasons. All in all, this park is a gem!

Great back to Nature campground. We had a beautiful secluded spot. Quiet and peaceful. No dish or starlink reception but plenty of stars. A tight fit for bigger rigs but definitely doable.

Enjoyed our stay well enough to extend it through the weekend. Signs warn about ticks off trail, heed the advice. Bathrooms and showers are dated but kept clean. Staff fr grounds keepers to administrators were all very nice. Nowhere to fish really except for a run down boat ramp, but enjoy the wildlife that's everywhere.

We stopped at the Visitor Center so we could go up the tower. It was a beautiful time to go because it was a wave of yellow flowers across the Prairie. We also saw a few Bison. It's always a good idea to bring binoculars to be able to see the wildlife better.

It was nice, but because my husband is on a walker, all we could do was drive around. We saw 1 squirrel, as we couldn't climb to see the Buffalo or horses.

Went here during my honeymoon and was grinning from ear to ear. It is the perfect oasis for those who enjoy nature. Getting to see the wild horses in their natural habitat was a dream. Access to the area was $5 with ample parking. The volunteers are very helpful and insightful and it was very crowded. It was a peaceful getaway for a few hours. We also saw some gators while there so keep your head on a swivel.Restrooms: Restrooms can be found in the visitors center or along the trail.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on a leashPicnic area: There are picnic benches I’d you’d like to eat a snack or meal while there.

Only come if u love nature, history and the story of Florida. Its an awesome place. Yes its hot, sticky and the bugs & mosquitoes can be a nuisance but well worth the trouble. Bison roaming among wild horses whose lineage dates back to the Spanish. Bring binoculars & use all the trails and u will experience the wonders of this special place. We visit multiple times yrly and still have new experiences. Although I'm limited in my ability to walk & stand for for longer than 20 min +- at a time its no less a spectacular place. Slow down and enjoy it. The staff in the center is very nice and enthusiastic. Miles of trails, lots of wild life and tons of peace and quiet. The campground is basic but has power & h2o & clean bath houses. I expect fall & winter to be the easiest time to visit if comfort is a priority but spring & summer is alive! Don't FORGET UR BUG SPRAY!
