Micanopy Animal Hospital is an excellent place. Great services and very economical.
I have taken there all my pets (cat and dogs).
I will be forever thankful on how much they helped “Eve” one of my old dogs who Micanopy team took care of her till her last day.
Could not asked for any better veterinarian hospital.

If I could, I wouldn’t even give this place one star. They overdosed my pup without my consent during boarding.
My partner and I boarded our dog for about 10 days and clearly told them to call us first if anything happened. On the second day of boarding, I got a call from the hospital. The staff said our dog was a bit stressed out and asked if they could take him to their vet and possibly prescribe some gabapentin to calm him down. We were very worried, so we agreed and told them to keep us updated. The hospital assured us they would keep us informed of any changes. Any reasonable person would think they’d give my dog a dose of gabapentin that afternoon after seeing the vet and then call me if he was still stressed out the next day.
However, when we picked up our dog and checked the invoice, we found out they had been giving our dog medication for eight days straight without our consent. We only received one phone call (the initial one). The invoice listed 80 gabapentin pills and 30 trazodone pills, but when we checked the bottles, there were only 35 gabapentin and 15 trazodone pills left, which means they gave my dog 45 gabapentin and 15 trazodone pills in eight days. And my dog is only 5 months old and 36 lbs.
When we asked the staff who took care of our dog, she said that the one phone call was taken as consent for all subsequent medication. I think anyone hearing this would find it crazy, especially since they never mentioned needing to keep giving meds in the call.
And even besides all this, is it reasonable to give a pup 45 gabapentin and 15 trazodone pills in eight days? That’s almost the dosage for post-surgery care, and my dog was given these amounts daily while he was healthy. I’d also like to stress that I boarded my dog for 10 days. Even if he was a bit stressed for the first one or two days, any staff member with even a little bit of patience would have handled it without drugging our dog for the following eight whole days. I believe the staff were simply trying to make her job easier by keeping our dog sedated.
It’s been two days since our pup came home. He slept almost the whole afternoon on the first day home. Today, he still looks drowsy and isn’t interested in playing. Heartbroken and angry don’t even begin to describe how I feel right now. I hope everyone who reads this review thinks twice before boarding their pet at this hospital.

I have had the pleasure of having my animals seem by Dr. Berisha, and Dr. Pearson, and each of them have been very thorough in their care, they explain everything concerning my animals with great detail. The patience they exercise with each of my babies is greatly appreciated. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well. Thank you all.

I was familiar with Dr. Pearson from her volunteer work over the years. I came to her clinic at the suggestion of a friend. The staff was so kind, and they were able to get lab results quickly. When I decided to end my Meese's life recently, Dr. Beresha was such a comfort, both for me and my boy. I greatly appreciate the competence and compassion there.
