“The hotel is newer and clean, but this has to be the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. We were in an upper floor, north facing room, and the traffic noise made it difficult to fall asleep before midnight. After the traffic noise mostly subsided, the hotel parking lot had an hourly visit from someone revving their engine and playing loud music. Earlier in the evening the room next door had a large group of guys making a lot of noise. Seems like the walls are thinner than other places I've stayed.”

Room was nicely done and clean. Bed and pillows weren't to stiff or soft. Room overlooked pool area, which was very nice. Pool, hot tub, fire pit area, basketball court. Breakfast was typical standard.”
“Our initial impression came from the Valets who welcomed & greeted us with smiles, professionalism, and most importantly, great attitudes. Then came check in, the “African American woman with the nose ring” who worked the front desk (Mentioned in other review) was amazing and patient as we checked in; as we had questions due to the medical nature of our visit. She answered all of questions; she was very pleasant to work with a great attitude to boost. Let’s not forget Margret, your simple gesture of assisting me while I wheeled my wife up to our room, was amazing!! Thank You!!The restaurant: My wife and I were immediately welcomed with warm smiles professionalism, and seated promptly. The staff there were amazing, which made our meals all that more enjoyable. We had a lite fare after coming off the road, my wife loved the chicken noodle soup while I enjoyed one of the best French onion soups I’ve had in a long time and to finish off our meal, we thoroughly enjoyed the brownie with ice cream, ??. Their turkey panini is top notch too. Huge shout out to the restaurant staff: Thank you for the amazing service!! Emily, your service was amazing, You’re Awesome!!Let’s not forget the staff behind the scenes (Housekeeping): They keep that place shining while providing great customer service when interacting with guests!! Thank you house keeping team!!!To sum it up!! Amazing experience!!! Hotel Eleo will be my got to place for overnight stays in Gainesville!!Rooms: The rooms were well kept, clean and welcoming with a nice view of the water features.Walkability: Having the hotel so close to the hospital was great!Food & drinks: The food and drinks were amazing only to be topped by the restaurant staff. “I really wanted to like this hotel. I really did. Kinda chic and modern. Unfortunately, the sparse bar and even sparcer breakfast table was disappointing. I’d go back to the Courtyard before staying at another AC. Room was good and comfortable but very basic. No real restaurants in the hotel and they don’t serve after 10 a.m. Not a very good experience for a Marriott property. The microwave in the buffet area was filthy - looked like something exploded in it weeks ago. Was going to warm up my coffee until I opened the microwave door. On the positive side the staff is very nice and professional. Sorry AC! I really wanted to give 5 stars.Food & drinks: The AC breakfast was European-style. Emphasis on “style” - no croissants or egg dish as advertised. Cold cereals, toast, and a few cold cuts. I’ve spent plenty of time in Europe and have never seen a more sparse breakfast “buffet.” Could have walked across the street to Publix and gotten the same for $2.00. Don’t waste your money on the breakfast package.”

Arrived at hotel 10 pm - they said you don't have reservations (found date error). They were able to modify reservation and get us a room even though it was a crowded Friday night. Kudos to wonderful staff and very nice room. So glad no carpet. Starbucks very close.”

3500 SW 42nd St, Gainesville“I have stayed at this hotel several times, sometimes for several weeks traveling for work, and I have never had any problems. The staff are amazing and they do not allow any nonsense at this hotel. I have stayed at a lot of the more expensive hotels in the area and they have the thinnest walls and the worst service - Red Roof Plus is exemplary. Is it a 5-star hotel? No. It's not meant to be. But the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the wi-fi works well, and I can access my work network with no problems. I would highly recommend staying here. It's close to Butler Plaza, all the restaurants you could want, a Target is right across the way as well as a Publix. This is my go-to hotel when I am in Gainesville.Rooms: The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the linens are soft, the pillows are good, the towels are soft. I have stayed at other hotels in the area that a much more expensive and way less clean than the Red Roof Plus. The only time you hear other guests are when they are working at making noise - and all you have to do is call the front desk and the noise stops.Nearby activities: This hotel is close to the interstate, close to UF, close to Butler Plaza - close to about anything you could want in Gainesville.Walkability: There is a Target in the shopping center across the street along with various shops and a Publix. There are several fast food restaurants also within walking distance.”

4075 SW 33 Pl, Gainesville“Highly satisfied. Well trained, friendly, helpful staff both at the registration desk and in the back office. I was part of a nearly 30 person group that stayed here during the second week of February 2024. Working with this hotel's staff - from getting early quotes, through securing a block of rooms, fixing booking mistakes, overcoming challenges of participants not having (functioning) credit cards to secure the reservation, last minute changes, etc. Carlene and Christy could not have been more wonderful to work with. They always communicated quickly, were always client oriented, and found solutions instead of complaining about problems. Stellar!”

“Loved Loved Loved staying here! The staff were so awesome... my memory is not good, I wish I could name them all, but NOT one was bad... everyone at the front desk, bar and even a young guy from the kitchen staff, refilling the fruit infused water (awesome!) was top notch! So nice and personable...Rooms: Clean and quiet...Nearby activities: Not far from the university, driving distance to shopping.Safety: Off the beaten path... and not a busy areaFood & drinks: Good bar...Noteworthy details: Great staff...”

2115 SW 13th St, Gainesville“I’m a Hilton Diamond member… I exclusively stay in Hilton hotels when possible.I didn’t arrive until midnight and asked the night desk attendant if I could get a late checkout.I was told that I’d have to check with them in the morning. In the morning I was told that the latest checkout I could get was 11:30 am. And the lady told me that I’d receive a $50 charge if I stayed past that time…Never ever heard of that!I wanted to use this hotel to get some administrative work completed. The staff here are NOT friendly or welcoming. The lady in the morning (while I was attempting to get aAte checkout) proceeded to berate one of the workers who was trying to upgrade the lobby about the style and locations of chairs…The only good thing I can say is that my room was quiet. But I highly advise you to stay away from this hotel.Breakfast was horrible!”

“Honestly I’ve been through it with cheap motels this last chapter..There are some issues with mold.. The top of the toilet bowl for my room looked like it was birthing the start of the Last of Us virus..But the rooms were cheap. The staff were decent. I left my sunglasses and they returned them to me.I’m giving it 5 stars, because the room amenities were comfy. If it was a little bit cleaner in the bathroom this would’ve been well $100 more probably ?? so I’m just gonna say thanks for the stay.. and check those toilet bowl tops!Ended up making the room smell a bit but wasn’t anything too bad.”

You can tell it had been renovated.Only bad thing was the elevator- to be expected it’s old and slow.A bit over priced for a late check in and for a one night visit but had a great rest. Will definitely stay here again”

“The Herlong Mansion is a wonderful place. The owner Kim has done a magnificent job of preserving the classic look and feel of this beautiful and historic place.Micanopy is a special place. You can close your eyes, think back to a different time and place, open your eyes and be convinced that you have traveled back in time. The Herlong Mansion has a wonderful, kindhearted, and professional staff. Additionally, comfortable guest rooms, beautiful sitting areas, and a beautiful porch and even more relaxing veranda in the second floor. We had a large group, and everyone truly enjoyed their stay. I highly recommend!”
