Rich & the team at West Marine is truly one of a kind. Rich was extremely helpful. I was having one of the most stressful days of my life. Basically I had a UPS startup for my construction project and the battery jumper cables were short. I had the technician onsite and he needed 8 cables to connect the batteries and finish the startup. I looked everywhere and called all my usual vendors but none of them could get the cable I needed. After an hour of searching I saw that west marine had the exact cable I needed and drove to the location. When i arrived I was a hot mess, and the first person I saw was Rich. He calmed me down, offered my a bottle of water, and proceeded to ask what I needed. Let me tell you that this man went above and beyond to make sure that I left the store with exactly what I needed. He cut the cable to the exact lengths, crimped it in the store, heat shrinked the cable, and provided me with exactly what I needed. He was so patient and truly a master of his craft. Without this gentlemen I woulda failed horribly that day but instead we flipped the script and I arrived back at the jobsite as a hero. Thank you Rich! Thank You to the team at west marine. You are the best!!!

Great staff, helpful and friendly. Problem with store is lack of inventory! Many empty shelves especially for basic items like hose fittings, clamps and other basic parts.

You can't beat West Marinefor having the little piece of hardware that you need or the ability to get it. This particular West Marine has experienced sailors that no sailboats and know what's needed for every job. Sales rep Ann keeps me coming back every time for her expertise. Well I think Ann has left the store, but Bill and Janis do a great job too!

They have everything for sailing and other outdoor sports. The Fort Lauderlade location is the largest and most complete.
