“Where do I begin. My darling Mary Jane (MJ) terrier who is 14 years, woke up with an injured swollen eye. I contacted a few vets and all said they couldn’t take in that morning. I called Callusa Crossing and Maria was able to fit me in. I told her I needed to be back to work by 11:30am. From the moment I came they took MJ to the exam room and was greeted by Zack. He was very kind and came right down to MJ’s level to look at her eye. He listened and explained every step. Dr. Courtney was very gentle with Mj and explained her condition thoroughly to me. He made me feel comfortable and gave me a treatment plan. He gave me hope that MJ will heal. The center is so clean, they are all professional. Mj had a slight accident while they drew her blood and one of the young lady techs brought her to me cleaned up. They are all so caring and you can trust them. Finally found an excellent vet that I can trust and are reasonable and thorough in them examining MJ. If your looking for a caring, professional staff, clean environment, and they listen to you. Yes I was out of there just in time to get to work.”

“Today I was referred to this clinic/emergency hospital and it was the best decision i could have done. My dog had been vomiting since last night and couldn't hold anything down. They immediately took us in and thoroughly examined my fur baby. Xrays confirmed he hadn't eaten anything he wasn't suppose to, lol. Prices are very fair, specially for an emergency visit. I highly recommend and will continue taking my babies to Dr. Alvarez for continue care an check ups . The staff was attentive and great, the front desk secretary was even concerned that I felt bad because she walked in and asked if I wanted some water because I looked like I was going to faint and I was just so worried that my baby had ingested something dangerous. Very caring staff and doctor. Again, I highly recommend.”

This is not a vet looking to take advantage of or confuse his clients with all sorts of diagnostics and procedures unless he deems them absolutely necessary. He works with you to find the best plan of quality care for your pet.This is not an emergency vet hospital. Think of it like your PCP. If you’re having a stroke or a heart attack, you wouldn’t call your PCP and show up to their office demanding to be seen because it’s an emergency. They’ll tell you to go the emergency hospital. Well it works the same way in the veterinary field. You take your pet to a regular vet for preventative medicine, and an emergency vet for urgent/emergency care.Also I have worked in a few vet clinics in the Miami area and I can tell you for a FACT that this is one of the best clinics you can take your pet to because the staff are actually very gentle and caring. They do not over restrain or bully unruly pets into submission like other veterinary practices do. They don’t have disgruntled employees to take out their frustrations on your pets. This is of utmost importance to me and should be for you as well, because it is a very common and unspoken reality that people do not consider when choosing a vet.The doctor and staff are regular people like you and me. They do all that is humanly possible within their criteria, leaving a bad review just because they don’t handle emergency cases is absolutely asinine. If you want a fantastic preventative care vet, choose here. They’re lovely and earnest people which is a one in a million find, especially in Miami.”
