The staff was absolutely incredible. They made such a painful, stressful, and difficult situation so much easier. I could trust them with Maui and I was okay doing so. The wonderful lady in the front of the office with the glasses was so kind. I unfortunately cannot remember her name but I know her son and I have the same birthday on May 22nd! Our doctor was also phenomenal, I also apologize for being so overwhelmed I forgot her name as well. However, she has red hair and a really cool piercing, she was absolutely phenomenal and so kind. Their empathy and compassion.

The staff is pretty good. The docs helped our little Coco with seizures. It's a little expensive for their treatments but I guess it's a small price to pay for reducing the frequency of the convulsing.

From the moment we called we were met with compassionate care. A terrifying experience for us was made so much easier by every single staff member. We knew our girl was in excellent hands. Can't thank you all enough! What was extremely helpful- was the pamphlet with detailed information about crate rest, the condition she has etc… When we got home, we were second guessing what was said about medication - we called after hours, the call was answered right away & we were put at ease. It's the small things- that make a huge difference. Every single person we encountered on Sunday was exceptional. I know we first spoke with Samantha to book the emergency appointment- but really- every single person. Reception, the nurses, the drs. We felt very very comfortable with the care she received. The gal at the front desk even turned the heater on in the room for us as it was cold and rainy out. Truly- everyone went above and beyond!

From minute 0 they were very attentive to what was happening to my dog. But the truth is that I couldn't do the procedure since it is very expensive, $14 Thousand to start and without knowing if it would look good. I couldn't perform the operation. They kept asking me how my dog was doing and I told them that I took him to VCA Cabrera Animal clinic and thank God he is now walking without having to operate. And it was only $980 with the visit. Maybe the only thing they should have is a little more empathy. But they are still professionals.

The doctor was thorough in her review and provided a reasonable set of next steps. Thank you Everyone did a great job, from check in, to the doctor, to the woman who helped clean up Lacey's throw up (she says sorry!)? Attentiveness and quickness of the appointment.

Positive - everyone is extremely nice & professional. Very attentive of my doggy. They made sure everything was smooth, and well-explained.
My only suggestion is to change the policy of the military discount. I was told I would get a military discount, but when they saw the ID said "veteran" they explained it had to be active duty. I understood. However, I do think it'll be nice to give veterans some perks with you guys! ? thank you.
The person who greeted us, and took us to the room. The nurse made sure all details were correct.
The doctor was very nice as well!

Southeastern Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) is thorough, compassionate, and understanding to animals and their owners. I would recommend them without hesitation.
I am a veteran dog owner who has sadly experienced rescues who have developed rare diseases, cancers, dementia, allergies, skin-tags, and tumors. My dogs have been through major surgeries, emergencies, allergy specialists, and eye specialists, but seizures were new territory for me. My regular vet suggested that I take my large breed, almost 12-year-old pit mix to SEVN when he started having grand mal seizures every 3-4 weeks. He was also starting to show signs of Canine Cognitive Disorder (CCD or “doggie dementia”). We made the near hour-long drive, but it was absolutely worth it.
Prior to the visit, I did my due diligence in attempting to investigate environmental, food, and chemical causes. I also prepared a list of my dog’s foods, supplements, and medications, as well as our daily routine and medical history. A case worker(s) was assigned to my dog, and they called ahead of time to gather some important information too. (They will continue to call periodically for check-ins as well.)
Dr. Nicholas DePompa and staff took every care with my sweet, old dog. They listened to me and my concerns. They really evaluated the whole situation, and not just the symptoms. I appreciate being heard and all my dog’s history being taken into consideration. Moreover, Dr. D did not try to force or push expensive diagnostic tests (like an MRI) when regardless of the results, I would not subject my aging dog to brain surgery. They also understood that I am on a limited budget. We were able to have a frank, honest conversation about these things. Taking all the of my dog’s factors, history, and the physical evaluation into account, they were able to rule out many causes and accurately treat the most likely reason for his seizures. Additionally, Dr. D recommended an over-the-counter supplement that other patients have had good results with for the CCD. I was shocked that within a week the sun-downing symptoms of the CCD had stopped. Even better, the seizure medication does not make him lethargic or sedate, instead he is still his happy, goofy, dog self. It is also affordable. I can cherish every extra day SEVN has given me with my old man. The medication might not be stopping whatever is possibly growing in his head causing his seizures, but it is suppressing them. I can happily report that he has been seizure free since starting on the medication they prescribed almost a year ago.
But SEVN’s attention to detail and meticulous care did not stop there. Dr. D asked that I create a seizure log and share the file with him to remain updated and report any changes. He also encourages his patients’ owners to email him with any questions or concerns; and he maintains that communication himself usually within that day or the next business day. I don’t even know any human doctors who are that attentive!
Southeastern Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) specializes in animal neurological conditions. That is what they do every day, all day. They also understand that just like humans, animals grow and get older and change. They are happy to help in the short term, but they set out to support their patients for life-long support too.

All the staff were extremely friendly and kept me up to date on Max's condition and progress. I feel they offered Max the utmost care and attention. I think all the staff need to be thanked, not one individual. They kept us to to date on Max's condition and answered the slew of questions we asked.
