I went to try to make a payment to the principal on an equity loan. They make it impossible to do so. Really bad bank. I’m now in the phone trying to make a payment to the principal. Been on hold for 30 minutes because the regular agent can’t do it and she’s trying to get someone from the mortgage department to help. They just don’t want you to pay to the principal so you’re in debt for life. God! What a horrible experience with this bank!!!!!!

This bank is operating out of the STONE AGE. They don't keep up with the times. Their Zelle process is senseless, ATM withdrawals do not exceed $200, long lines for the teller , customer service is subpar. This bank should be servicing retirees and not busy people.

My debit card was compromised, and I had $550 stolen from my checking account.I found out that it was compromised because I received a FRAUD ALERT thru the bank's messaging center. The following morning I filed a dispute and submitted the paperwork online. One week later I called to follow up because I still hadn't received the money back in my account. I asked for information about my "case" and the gentleman on the phone told me that it would take another several days because the matter was still under investigation. I asked for details and the man told me, "You are one of two hundred something cases." This is not customer service. I am very disappointed with the credit union. I have been a member for 26 years. I am seriously considerInc doing business with another bank, especially after this incident.

Horrible customer service, they closed my account more than 2 weeks ago and I did exactly what they told me to do and I haven't received any news and it still doesn't work.

WARNING- When you need to withdraw more than $5k they give you a check to take to another bank!!Loan rates are great - BUT very disorganized and lengthy process. Pack your patience. I have EDFED as a secondary bank -my primary bank is CHASE and they are great.

Edfed this absolutely horrible. Worst customer service I called almost 12 times in one day and they were still not able to fix my issue. Everytime I would speak to a new representative they would tell me something different and I ended up just changing banks because of the mess they had going on. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

My 1st experience at EdFed was awful! I was discriminated against so I am transferring my money to another bank & will never deal with ***** again. All I wanted was to get my online account unlocked. My 1st time logging in I forgot to use capital letters where needed so it locked me out. I called the EdFed call center, ***** answered. I gave the phone to my mother because I am Autistic & become overwhelmed when dealing with new or stressful situations. My mother explained what had happened, she told ***** that I was disabled due to Autism Spectrum Disorder, she then gave me the phone. I had it on speaker so my mom could help me if I needed it. ***** told me to take it off speaker or he would not be able to help me. I did as ***** asked. He was speaking very loud (so loud he was hurting my ears). My mother could hear him talking because of how load he spoke. When he asked me a question that I did not know the answer to, I asked my mother. ***** put me on hold, then came back on & told me he would not be able to help me. He said I'd have to go to a branch the next day. I felt so overwhelmed & like a failure. I'm 18 years old & this was my 1st time dealing with a bank. I put my mother on the phone so she could try to help. ***** told her that he was not allowed to take 3rd party information. Asking for help from my mother is 3rd party information? My mom told him that she would write down my account information & leave the room. ***** said he'd have to check with someone again to see if he would be able to help ******* put me on hold yet again. After a few minutes he said that it was now past 6:30pm & there was no one who could answer him so I'd have to go to a branch tomorrow to get help. My mom got on the phone & asked for a supervisor. ***** would not let her speak to a supervisor. This was a simple call made difficult by ***** who clearly is on a power trip. He did everything he could so I could not get help unlocking my online account. I am so disgusted.

I have been banking at Ed Fed for several decades and a long time before they rebranded. In fact Mr. Sibley used to come out of his office to greet me when I entered the credit Union. I have only have had positive experiences at the Credit Union. The entire staff from the greeters, the security guards, the tellers and the bank officers go out of their way to be ucourteous and friendly. When my identity was stolen,Ed Fed contacted me before any other institution. I didn't lose a penny and the staff guided me through all the necessary steps I had to take to correct the matter. On the last occasion that I interacted with Ed Fed, I brought in my executor. I wanted to get her listed on my accounts and complete my beneficiary list. Jonathan was my representative. He knew exactly what forms were needed and assisted me through the complicated process. I was astounded that someone so young could be so knowledgeable. The only thing that unnerved me a little was when he said that Music from the year 2000 was old. I am a few seasons older than Jonathan and dance to Chubby Checker and the Temptations.

I've been a member of Education Federal Credit Union since 1981 (a different name back then, but customer service has always been second to none). Tellers and all employees have always been attentive to detail, responsive to my needs and make you feel appreciated. Very happy with the decision to join EdFed 42 years ago.

It is an embarrassment that this bank is the one that the Miami Dade schools chose, my experience was the following, I took my car to refinance and at first everything is luxury, but they are always going to find a way to lower your credit score to charge you more interest. For example, I had 697 and they lowered it to 6.50 / my father had 810 and they lowered it to 725 . EDFED YOU ARE A SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 20 years in this bank, I’m calling it quits. The customer service, quality, customer attention in this bank has deteriorated enormously. 45 minute hold to get a customer rep on the phone. There is too much competition amongst banks, to be stuck with one that can’t even answer the phone. Anything and everything you need to do is a problem. Ever since new management came in, I have experienced problems. The new debit cards are so ugly. All fancy new colors, and poor customer service.

I had an uncomfortable experience with my property tax payment that thankfully got straightened out by the manager. I expressed the awkwardness of the new online site and he offered to have someone walk me through how to set it up. Thank you to Gary Albin for solving my issue.
