This is the worst bank ever. You try to support black owned business however, sometime it’s a slap in the face. I called to cancel/block my debit card over a month ago because my purse was stolen. The card was never canceled nor was I ever sent out a new card. Since then, charges have been made on my account. Representatives are giving me the run around in regards to disputing the charges. There would be no unauthorized charges if the card was canceled when I requested it be over a month ago. This company is so unprofessional & very clueless when it comes to their customers. Trainings should held as well as an update to their outdated software. I am taking my money out of this bank.

I closed my account about a month ago and now, I need bank statements from them. I've been told that because I closed my account, it doesn't exist and I need to pay $6 per statement that I have to mail in a money order for. The correspondence is in California. I need these statements asap. I wish I could give this bank -5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was initially excited about this bank and wanted to be a part of the great movement, I thought. After rude customer service, I closed my accounts in July. It is the 19th of September and I have STILLnot received the money from my accounts inspite of NUMEROUS WEEKLY phonecalls. I did complete and submitted their Loss Form to no avail. IN ALL HONESTY, I REALLY DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS A BLACK OWNED BANK. Just like the Black Lives Matters rioters, many were WHITE in Black face.

On 9/12, I received a call from the fraud department. At 1:47, while on the call with fraud, 3 transactions in the amount of 1500 each occurred. I saw those after I hung up, and I couldn't access the account. On 9/13, fraud called to complete the ( process of deactivation of the duplicate account) Well, the 2nd and third transactions occurred while on the phone 980.00 and 160. I saw the text before she hung up, she stated They would be removed. Today, 9/14 . OneUnited lied (Shadow), they were supposed to email the form to refund the amount of $2460.00Apparently, the person Jas Time and OneUnited have a connection.This Bank which want to represent the Black community has caused me to lose the respect and pride for them.I have to contact my creditors so I can take care of my obligations.Fraud is damaging, and we the victims are always the blame.I thought I was talking to OneUnited. LESSON 1.

I’ve been with this bank for a little over a year, the way they post transactions causes account overdrafts. I had a payment that should have cleared it sat pending for 4 days last month, this month the same transaction pended for 1 day and was returned. Then this week, my check deposited the same day of another payment instead of clearing the deposit, they let the payment return. This is my last check to deposit with this bank, I am switching banks and then closing this account.

OneUnited Bank customer service representatives' call center is horrible they tell you different things or just say the wrong information. The phone system asks if are you calling for a personal or business account I said personal then it gives you information to open up a personal account haha. I make so many complaints about the phone system and other customers I know but nothing happens. I was a victim of fraudulent transactions and was given 4 overdraft fees of $37.00. Their customer service supervisor who was a woman whose first name start with an "A" on Aug. 18, 2023, told me they will only give me three credits for three $37.00 fees, not four. This supervisor give me the wrong phone number when I just told her representatives giving me the wrong information. I don't understand how my checking account was compromised because of fraud and they only going to credit three fees, not four fees to fraudulent transactions. This makes no sense when they know all are fraudulent transactions, not three. Then I found out they have a free checking account called "BLACK WALL STREET" because my account has a $10.00 a month maintenance fee. The over-the-phone representative said she will open up a new account name Black Wall Street it's a free account and give me back two $10.00 fees credit. She said she will open this new account I can come back to the app to get the new account number. I found out the next day I have to open a new another representative told me this so she give me the wrong information. The only thing she did was change the name not a new checking account. I recommended this bank to many people throughout the years. I will not recommend this bank to anyone else again.

I just opened up an account on Friday! I was excited about it that I even advised my coworker to open up an account. I need help on updating my SSN because I was off by one digit. When I called everything went well. I was able to get a a live person pretty quickly, which I loved, the live person sent me an email so I can send them a copy of my DL & SS card. I did that, everything went well. Now by Friday night until now which it’s Monday morning, I log into my account via App and it have been UNAVAILABLE to access any of my accounts!!! I can’t see absolutely anything. I do understand if it needed an update but now for the whole weekend and still nothing. I just switched my direct deposit back to my other account because that alone made me not trust this bank. Remind you I just opened it on Friday and paid the $25 to open it and don’t have any access to my accounts yet. Hmmmm I don’t know what to think of this bank but that’s. A horrible first impression when I just opened it and the whole weekend no access to my accounts

The bank has been stealing money from me and post payments without my authorization. I try calling customer service but the automated voice is all screw up. The automated voice won't allow me to connect to customer service. This bank has been dodging me because they know they have been scheming customers for overdraft fees. They will choose what payment to post so they can collect their overdraft fees. Don't use this bank. It's not black owned just a black face they put in front of us

I tried to support this black own banks process, but they were everything but professional, 1. Started out by asking for a free checking and the failure from their side was actually giving me a charged checking account instead, I didn't realize until I saw a monthly service charge. Then when I addressed it with them they acted like they had no clue. So I closed that account and was then told the free checking called black Wallstreet was online only apply? What black owned bank that understands the failed wealth system to black slave descendants makes you have to go online to apply for an account that is intended to help you get on your feet to have a base to start out and stabilize your finances then later build wealth? Continuing from the online free account after I actually applied it had to goto an approval process regardless of the fact that I already had two savings accounts established! And guess what? The approval never got approved OR disapprove it just stay in limbo with no answer over a month plus. And throughput that process as I would randomly call there was no escalation or answer. After this we decided to just close all existing accounts and leave. As a additional note prior to leaving other issues never got resolved like there was an issue with extending accounts from your login which ours had an error that never got fixed with technical service team? If this is the top Black Owned Bank, I fear the lowest black owned bank and the hope for resolve in this country. Now I have to go back banking with non-black banks that by nature already don't have my best interest at hand Yet give outstanding basic services.

This is the worst bank ever!!!!!! Another business capitalizing off the “ Black Culture “. Let start off on the the customer service mannerism- what a joke. Rude isn’t the word for the representatives. Just ask to speak with a supervisor, her music was so loud until it made me think I was on a personal phone.? This bank gives the new meaning of “ idgaf” about me job or the customers. I closed all my accounts.

This is the best bank I have dealt with in many many years in the United States of America. If you're looking for Unity community banking that will really help and assist you I'm impressed how they have really helped me I highly recommend one United Bank.
