Mattress Firm is great at the time of the sale, not so much if there is an issue with a purchase. The Coconut Grove store, now closed, no longer takes reviews. I'll take my time to leave one at this store because it was out next step.
After purchasing 4 mattresses from M Firm, we bought a 5th for our 4 yr old from Luis at Coconut Grove. 2 days after unboxing the mattress the stench of some kind of chemical was unbearable. We called and spoke to Luis, he assured it was normal and would go away in a couple of days. Mind you, the previous 4 mattresses never had that issue, including one that was exactly the same.
We waited 2 weeks and the smell never went away, after reaching out to speak to Lyis we couldnt get him on tje phone because the Coconut Grove store closed. We spoke to multiple people that passed on messages to Luis and we were assured he would contact us. That never happened.
We decided to walk into this store on Coral Way and 33rd ave. As we were walking in someone finally returned out call and offered to swap the mattress but have to pay a 200 restocking fee, then he found a way to lower it to 100. Celeo at the store is the only person that has tried to help us, he was kind enough to take the time to make phone calls and resolve the issue.
We walked out of the store with a resolution, the mattress would be exchanged with no charge.
Today the delivery of the new mattress was attempted, however the drivers would not make the exchange because they say the mattress we have is missing some label, one that was obviously never on the mattress, we unboxed it and never used it.
I called Celeo today and he made some calls and advised me this was now out of his hands. Celeo has been great and he has been trying to correct an issue he never was responsible for.
I called customer service, they are closed on weekends, a sales rep took a message and advised we would be contacted in 2 business days. I would hope this gets resolved at some point, after all this isn't a change of heart, this is a defective matress, one that is a HEALTH HAZARD for a minor.
I will update my review pending what happens in the next couple of days.
Very important, this 1 star review is not reflective of Celeo or this store, rather for the store now closed on 27th Ave and US1 and Luis, who we still have not received a call from despite multiple messages from employees.

We had a good experience with Celeo, he helped us change a mattress that we had previously bought that did not work for us and he was the only person who behaved well and resolved the situation for us, he is super friendly, pleasant and a very good seller because in the end we came out even with mattress covers for all our beds. Thank you, you will be our seller from now on.

Don’t even double think bye your mattress from this small business ! Javi was super informative about EVERYTHING from pillows to mattress covers and of course the mattress its self . I will never see buying a mattress the way I do now . The best part is we walked out with the mattress the same day ! Thank you again Javi , for sure telling everyone !
