Truly terrible service and standards kept. No hospitality in a dated place. Not even “how was your stay” or “thank you for staying with us.” 0/10 recommend.

The most overwhelmingly subpar 5-star hotel I have ever stayed at. This is truly a 3-star hotel at best. Nothing is luxurious, the staff is not kind or formal and the whole place reeks of "faded glory."
Even coffee cups in a suite are simply paper. Not even a real coffee cup. Housekeeping tried to come at weird times (like 9:30pm when you are most likely there). Most people have nicer private pools than the one here and the gm facilities are four previous hotel rooms with gym equipment.
$$$$$ for $ service, food and ambiance. Very poor experience, staff and hotel. For the price, do yourself a favor and book at a true 5-star and get the experience and amenities you expect.

Looking for a hotel with wonderful views of Brickell and the ocean. Nice rooms, friendly staff.
Rooms: Nice rooms, great views

Nice, well-kept hotel in a good location. It is visible that it is no longer quite there. But everything is very clean and there is nothing to complain about in the room. Anything missing can be reordered, the service works great! We had the concierge reserve a table for us at a nearby steakhouse. We were even driven there from the hotel. We feel very comfortable!

We stayed here for two nights. It's a great hotel that's getting a bit old. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. Coffee machines were only available when we asked, which should actually be standard in this category in the USA. But we felt very comfortable here

First time visiting the mandarin oriental arrived on a Thursday flying out on a Sunday. I must say everyone is very courteous as well as attentive to ensure you are having a pleasant stay. The rooms are a nice size for the King size, the bathroom is very spacious with a separate toilet in its own room for privacy, separate shower from the tub as well. We had a balcony that over looks the waterway so it was nice to watch the boats from our room. There is no room in the refrigerator to put any of your things. (Just be aware). Not even a pop
There is a MO dining area that you can order food, drinks and cocktails at. There is a gift shop, spa and so much more.
My negative was that after stressing in Miami in the horrible traffic we found out the day before leaving we could have gotten a ride on behalf of the hotel. This upset me dearly because we were not informed of all services rendered on behalf of the hotel. Instead the valet guys happily took our tip money each time we came and went from the hotel. If you offer a service, offer it to everyone. We are not from Florida and would have gladly paid one gentleman to drive us to short distance places so we could enjoy the sites around the hotel. This is all I have to say. This is why I rated the hotel the way I have.
Rooms: Spacious and clean
Food and drinks: There is a service fee of $45 and drinks are pretty strong.

Truly a special experience with caring, well trained staff that sets the bar high in the Mandarin Oriental brand and among luxury hotel. Incredible views of the Miami skyline and the water.
Loved:
- The special welcome at the front desk with hibiscus tea and a cold towel
- The pool attendants bringing a bucket of ice and cold water to your table and offers to adjust your umbrella. Thank you to Kevin and Michael for the great service. We really appreciated the wonderful job the kitchen staff did splitting a Tuna Poke bowl for us.
- The spacious room, Las Vegas luxury hotel size, with the window opening looking from the tub surrounded in marble to the bedroom and stunning view of Miami from your balcony. There is a window blind for privacy as well.
- The bottles of water by the bedside that are replenished during turn-down service.
- The plush washcloths, towels and the thoughtful amenities such as a dental kit, shaving kit, sewing kit, and shower caps
- Color-safe shampoo and conditioner
- Infinity rounded pool has the most padded, comfortable lounge chair I have ever laid on! Plenty of umbrellas.
- The "wow" factor as you enter the lobby with the stunning floor to ceiling windows of the water and flowers. The path around Brickell Key right outside the hotel for about a mile walk along the water.
- The M.O. Bar with the wonderful violin and piano player on Friday playing great, popular music. Our lovely waitress who provided gracious service.
- Enjoyed the Mandarin Breakfast at La Mer in the morning with the tropical fruits, dumplings and congee with chicken. Husband enjoyed the American breakfast. Really lovely way to start the day with a view of Miami from the balcony
- Thank you for the welcome back chocolates
Rooms: Spacious rooms with balconies with two chairs and a table
Nearby activities: Walk the path around Brickell Key which runs past the swimming pool and restaurant
Safety: Pathway felt very safe during the day
Walkability: Cross the bridge for more dining choices in Brickell
Food and drinks: La Mer is delicious. Drinks at the pool were very reasonable
Noteworthy details: Great view of Miami and the water from bar, restaurant, and many of the rooms

Lovely hotel and great location tucked away from the hustle and bustle in Miami yet close enough to everything. We loved our spacious room, exceptional view and amazing staff. We will be back.
Walkability: Nice walk especially near the water

This hotel has a fantastic location. Located on Brickell Key just across from downtown Miami, it is close when you want to go there but quiet when you come back. Just a short walk across the bridge. The pool was my favorite part. It has a great view and the staff is friendly and attentive. The only thing that needs improvement is the "fitness center" is 5 rooms they cleared out and put various equipment in. It is serviceable, but it's way below the standards of a hotel like this. The place is closing for renovations in May 2025 so book your visit soon. It is going to be closed for years!

I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend and the food was amazing, we had a great time. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, our server Cristian and Richard went the extra mile to make our visit very nice. Definitely the service was 5 stars, I’ll be coming back to try more things out of the menu.

The staff and their dedication to providing best-in-class service is what sets this place apart from everybody else.
World class experience a-Z.
