My car was towed from a private parking lot on December 7th. From the invoice that Monster Auto Recovery provided, the car towing began at 10am and was completed by 10:45am on December 7th. I collected my car by 5:45pm the same day. From my understanding, I should have been charged the Class A fine of $145 as this was not initiated by the police, and the Daily Indoor Storage Fee of $33.90, but not anything more than that as the car had not been held by Monster Auto for more than 24 hours. The invoice I received states I was charged a City Fee of $36.25, however, I do not see a City Fee listed as part of the Maximum Non-Consent Towing Rates for the City of Miami. Additionally, and more importantly, the owner of Monster Auto threatened my partner with violence and my partner had to call the police due to the threats. My partner offered to collect my car for me while I was at work and we verified with Monster Auto that they would release my car to them as long as Monster Auto was provided with a picture of my drivers license. When my partner arrived at Monster Auto and requested an invoice for the car, the owner responded by withholding my car, chasing my partner out with a broom, and yelling at them. My partner proceeded to call 911 and the operator requested that they stay on the line for a layer of added protection. When the police arrived, the police sided with the owner as it was his private property. However, I believe that the owner changed his mind once my partner asked for the receipt because he knew he was improperly charging me and that was when the situation escalated. When my partner alerted me to the violence, I left work and took a car over to collect my car myself. I was provided a receipt, but did not contest any charges as I was afraid of retaliation similar to what my partner had received. They are unprofessional, discriminatory, and price gouging.

If I could give this towing company a zero I would but but the lowest rating I can give it is a one. The lady who answers the phone for some reason (either having a bad day or she's just a nasty person in general) is not only extremely bitter and rude, she hung up on me (for no reason!!!), then went into the Progressive roadside assistance system and sabotaged my claim by entering phony addresses for both the broken down vehicle, and he tow destinations. had I not checked the Progressive claim status my bike would have just sat their on the side of the highway for who knows how long. I called Progressive and they confirmed that Monster Auto went into their system and changed the addresses. I have never seen this level of unprofessionalism in my entire life. Stay away from Monster Auto Recovery at all cost.

A BIG thank you and hug to Andrea for sending out Philipe and his assistant!! In sweltering hot hot hot Miami Beach heat , these two wonderful professional very knowledgeable men came to help me. I was suffering from sun stroke and they were able to skillfully get my gear out of "p" (park) as the shifter/lever was practically welded/stuck in that position. Kind people (men) were unable to move that darn stick. Thank goodness for Monster Auto Recovery! Philipe and assistant were smart enough to figure out what to do and off I went. Safely and calmly. I had a very long drive in Friday rush hour traffic to Palm Beach County and made it back in 1 piece. I was sick from that beach heat of 94* . Both men were kind, professional and LIFE SAVERS ... Gracias por todo y un abrazo! karina

Needed somebody to come out for a flat tire. He was prompt but insisted I didn't have the right bolts for the tire even though it was on previously. So the tire was never replaced or fixed with no other solutions. Didn't use a normal Jack but instead put his repossession equipment on my car then proceeded to ask for money and threaten to tow my car into impound. Dispatcher on the phone was on his side! I was shaken and came away from the situation feeling abused. I hope somebody does this to a family member of theirs so they will understand someday.

They improperly towed my car and damaged my engine. The female that answers the phone is a liar and a thief. I called and she said she didn't have my car, only to search for another hour and fine out from another towing company that they did in fact have my car. she then tried to charge me $153 when the rate is 125 for the first 6 hours. Then when I paid my car wouldn't even start only to find out they pulled my car which is a 4 wheel drive manual and ended up jamming my engine and ruining my transmission.

Lalo is a great service manager. Service was exceptional and the price was competitive compared to other shops. Dropped off the car at 10 am and it was done by 3 pm. Oem Electric starter and oil change.
