I recently purchased over $3,000 worth of items from CITY Furniture. The sales representative at the store was wonderful and the items are terrific. HOWEVER -- Upon delivering the sofa and table, the movers caused significant damage to my walls (and minor damage to the floor) when delivering the items. I was under the belief that the premium moving offer included a promise to reimburse any damage caused by the movers. So, I filed a claim and sent images of the damage.After filing the claim for the damage caused by the movers, my brother and I were offered less than half of what the repairs would be. We sent photos, explained the damage, and took time to go through CITY's process of recouping our losses. Yet, CITY told us that they would not budge -- regardless of what damage occurred or what additional documentation we could provide regarding the damage, their independent contractors valued the damage at a certain amount of money and there was nothing we could do to change it.To be clear, we spent thousands of dollars on furniture, nearly $200 on premium moving assurances, and were asking for an additional $200 for the cost of repairing the damage, but they aggressively declined.I spoke to four (4) different representatives to assist me, one of whom even held herself out as a manager for a nearly 45 minute phone call when in reality she was not a manager and could not take any action in assisting me. There was no amicable process in correcting their wrongdoing, and they refuse to listen to your actual problem after their contractor assesses value to a claim. Any reasoning with them goes out the window as they simply state "our contractor does not agree with you".Although both the sales rep in the store and the items were great, this additional process has taken me hours to dispute, to no avail, and has truly discouraged me from returning as a customer.

Purchased an almost $2000 Credenza from City Furniture that arrived without legs. I requested replacement legs and was told manufacturer does not offer any replacements. I requested a warranty claim / certificate, and was told the warranty expired a few months ago. Nothing that can be done, no support or workaround. I even offered to pay for some type of legs, nothing. Terrible support and service. Also, the credenza is now sun faded on the top.

Great service. Saadia met me and asked if she could help me find something. She provided guidance without making me feel pressured. Once I completed my decision/purchase, she helped me with transportation and then checked in to make sure deliver was successful. Great team at CITYFurniture Midtown.

Edited until City Furniture resolves:I'm writing to share the harrowing experience I've endured with City Furniture, an ordeal that has not only cost me a significant amount of money but has also disrupted important plans and caused immense inconvenience.My journey with City Furniture began with high hopes of purchasing a new mattress. After careful consideration, I selected a medium mattress in-store, only to receive a completely different, uncomfortably hard version upon delivery. This discrepancy was attributed to the discontinuation of the original mattress, a fact conveniently omitted during the purchase process.Despite City Furniture's acknowledgment of their error and their assurance that I could select another mattress, the subsequent deliveries proved equally disappointing. The plush mattress I chose was delivered with the same rock-hard firmness, accompanied by false advertising regarding its thickness.As a result of these repeated failures, I've been forced to endure weeks of discomfort, sleeping on my couch. This situation has not only taken a toll on my physical well-being but has also disrupted plans for my mother to stay with me. Unfortunately, she cannot sleep on the couch, and I'm left scrambling for solutions due to City Furniture's negligence.In my attempts to seek redress, City Furniture's customer service has been nothing short of underwhelming. Despite my grievances and the substantial inconvenience caused, I was merely told to wait 24-48 hours for them to consider a refund—a response that feels dismissive given the gravity of the situation.It's disheartening to see a company prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, especially when it results in such profound disappointment and inconvenience. I implore anyone considering purchasing from City Furniture to think twice and consider the potential consequences of dealing with a company that shows such disregard for its customers.Until City Furniture acknowledges their mistakes and provides a satisfactory resolution, I will continue to share my story and caution others against patronizing a company that fails to uphold its promises and responsibilities.(
