Not the greatest Marriott Aloft hotel. Old hotel that been converted to make look modern. Lots of confusion about check-in. Marriott demanded App download for keyless entry. Then hotel sent text to check-in at desk. Hard to it use television remote while in bed. Loud people next door.

We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. After the first night, we asked if it was OK to check out early. The front desk clerk said no problem and we left. Then we got the bill. They charged us $267/night for each room claiming we cancelled. AFTER WE STAYED THERE! Also, the cancellation charge was more than the room rate. Never once did the front desk clerk mention this charge. If they had, we may have stayed the extra night. I travel over 50 nights a year and have NEVER had something like this happen. Of course, we will never stay here again.

Not good and sorry to say whatever the response from the management we won’t be back. Shame on Marriott as we are reward members. At very minimum we should have been offered breakfast for our inconvenience. First the Uber pick up driver was at the wrong pickup location at the airport and we waited and we waited 45 min to be told by the front desk that they are a third party and not experienced ! Several Uber and Lyft cars picked up other passengers. We were at the correct location and he wasn’t familiar with MIA pick ups??? . By time we got to the hotel the nearby restaurants were closed bc of the severe delay in Uber service. The hotel does not offer a shuttle! Next we were told our room wasn’t ready for an additional hour bc the rug was being cleaned and had to dry? Mind you it was 945 -955 pm after a full day of travel we didn’t want to wait till 11 for an unknown dirty rug issue. Btw I had text saying room was ready several hours prior . We were told we don’t have a king bed mind you we requested a handicap room for a disabled person and was given two double beds with a tub . Needless to say no bathing could be done by that person. The hall was filthy as was elevator. We awoke to the road noise and said never again at an Aloft property. There are many choices . It was a very expensive park sleep fly . So disappointed

Management canceled my reservation while I was traveling and gave my room to someone else, so I had to find another hotel at 10pm. Worse, my colleague had to cancel and rebook and they charged her a $200 cancellation fee. Upon requesting a refund, they refused. Will not stay at Marriott properties in the future.Edit: Your “investigation” hasn’t lead to a refund of the money you stole from us. Give it back and do better, Aloft.

OUR BRAND NEW JEEP GLADIATOR GOT STOLEN FROM THERE PARKING LOT!!! Booked a park sleep fly & came back to no car! We are besides ourselves & can’t help but wonder if hotel had something to do with it. At check in they make you fill out a form. Year, make, model, when you arrived & when you will be coming back. Then they make you park in back of building with no surveillance! Open bait for a dirty employee if you ask me. Employee that night didn’t act at all surprised & told me I had to deal with cops. Paid $331 to get our car stolen. Called & spoke to the manager the next morning & asked them what they were going to do & was told I had to go through our insurance. No offer of anything! If you want your car when you come back, DO NOT STAY HERE!Safety: Horrible!!!

For this hotel to be a Marriott hotel is very disappointing... I reserved my reservation on Feb 6th for just one day for $64.41. I accidentally booked a king room but I needed two queen beds. I have called up to this hotel at least 4 times since then to edit my reservation and I got the run around saying there would be a comment on file and I will be able to get my two queen rooms. The day before check-in I received an email from Isabel Fraga-Mojinson ( the general manager) welcoming me into the hotel and asking if I needed anything to just reach out! I happily responded to her email and told her about me needing the 2 queen beds and seeing if she could help me out. Of course, no response back on her end.. The next day after driving for 5 hours I made it to the hotel and at the front desk was a guy named Nestor ( amature supervisor) and a girl with glasses. I simply say " My name is Diavion Ashley and I'm here to check in while pulling out my explore rate form. Nestor starts to stutter and ask me " well didn't you receive the email?" I kindly say "no what email what's wrong" Nestor goes to explain that they ran my card and it was declined. Now, They decided to run my card early before checking in and only notified me through email. Now this has happened to me before because I do have multiple cards I use while traveling but whichever marriott hotel I'm staying at they reach out to me through phone to let me know! They did send me an email but as I mentioned above I'm driving down to Miami and never looked at my email because I wasn't expecting any emails from anybody! After Nestor informed me the reservation was cancelled he then goes on to say" since my explore rate was so low they cancelled it and gave my room to someone else"! At this point my sister-in-law steps in and asks for the policy, and the manager so we can speak to someone to get this situation resolved. As Nestor steps away we then go to explain how inconvenient this was and now we don't have a place to stay and the associate goes to point out there's a motel 6 right around the corner. With me not just being a bonvoy member but an associate at the corporate of marriott was very disappointing to realise how being an employee for marriott this is how I was treated. I repeatedly asked to speak to the manager and the manager refused because I booked under explore rate. I called the customer service line to see if they could help and their manager refused to help and told me since it's an explore rate they couldn't help. I then ask who I contact to get this resolved and the customer service rep says to contact my manager. I contacted my manager and also no help. So yeah!!! This is how rude and unprofessional I was treated as an employee and a customer from this hotel. And there was no help from no one except for Nestor laughing and smirking in my face while being extremely upset and frustrated and his associate for unprofessional remarks towards my family. All of this just because the rate that I booked the reservation was low. Also I read the policy and it states upon arrival there would need to be a valid form of payment not 7 hours before checking in. And in order to hold a reservation you will need a credit card number to reserve your room in which I did!

Hotel near the airport. The best thing is the nearby Starbucks and the pool table in the lobby. The rooms are worn out. The hotel is too expensive. There is also an additional deposit of $100. We are still waiting for the refund.

Spacious, super clean rooms, internet and parking available with additional payment. They have ice machines on all floors. It wasn't working in ours! Clean and spacious bathrooms. The vanity kit is very limited, they do not have a shower cap. It has an iron and ironing board, coffee machine and refrigerator. A very limited and expensive breakfast, but they have many options nearby that you can even walk to. I would definitely return!

Do NOT book rooms at this hotel. Particularly with a third party. My husband and I have been dealing with reservation issues since Nov. 2023 with THIS particular hotel. We are out over $300. Regardless of who is at fault. They waited until Feb. 2024 to give us an official answer on no for a refund. That is WAYYYY to long for an official answer.

Months before our stay, I specifically reserved and put a deposit on a King room after a long travel day as our flight arrived just after midnight. I got to the hotel to find out they had given us the only leftover room which was two queens. When I inquired at the front desk I was told that it was too bad our flight was so late, they could only give us what was left. What is the point of reserving a room type at all then? Very disappointed and dissatisfied to have to be treated like that at the end of a long travel day. The rooms also do not feel clean. The windows don’t open and they smell musty. I am a Bonvoy member and won’t be coming back to this location and would not recommend if you’re looking for good service. Service was terrible based on our treatment upon arrival and rooms are not what I would expect or hope for, especially when you aren’t given the room you reserved and paid for. Overall not a happy stay.

This was our first time staying here prior to a cruise. The hotel looks somewhat updated but mismatched pillows and decor that is tacky. The pool was dirty and not open. There was a bar, but it never opened. I basically slept there. I got up and left for our cruise. For the price amenities should be available. Will not be back.Food & drinks: None except overpriced snacks at the front of the hotel.
