Nothing but great things to say about this studio. I watch the classes and I see the instructors truly engaging with the children and teaching them everything they need to know about Jiu-Jitsu. Highly recommend for those looking for a structured, character building after school activity for their child.

Both of my nephews and my niece regularly attend classes here, and our family loves it! We have seen a positive shift in the children’s confidence, and all of the instructors are excellent. Would highly recommend.

This is the best jiu jitsu academy, Amazing school with an amazing environment to learn, all the professors make sure you learn and retain everything they teach. Professor Wilson and Professor Carlos are great. Professor Roberto is also great specially with the little ones, been going for a year now and I can honestly say that they are my family. This has to be one of the best gyms that i have taken my sons to. The trainers are respectful, helpful and supper clean. My sons love going here and they really enjoy there time. All the staff and sweet and helpful, this place has great service and prices.10/10

My family was in the area for a few weeks. I was looking for a quality school for my three kids to continue their training in BJJ. RGML was recommended from a friend in our home state of Rhode Island. All I can say is wow! The training your kid(s) will receive from this school is top-notch! However, the character of the professors, especially Professor Wilson, is of the highest level. Him and his staff treated us like family and I am indebted to them. We will miss you all!

Myself and two sons have been training at this academy for almost two years. Professors Carlos and Wilson are excellent instructors who run an amazing program. Youth classes are meant to not only teach self defense skills but instill discipline and self confidence. Adults classes are designed for both the hobbyist and serious competitor who wants to take their skill to the next level. It is a privilege to have Professors Carlos and Wilson running this academy in the Miami Lakes area!

Professor Wilson and Professor Carlos have created a wonderful space for students of all ages. Classes can be challenging but rewarding for anyone who is willing to put forth the effort. Overall, this is an excellent academy and a fine addition to the community of Miami Lakes.

There’s a lot of favoritism with parents and kids. It’s a very toxic environment. These people aren’t role models for children at all. If a kid is in competitions and wins medals, they’re the flavor of the week. If your kid doesn’t win, they’re nothing to them. They only pay attention to the kids that win. This comment isn’t fueled by anger or hate like the fake comment below. it’s a real review from a parent who came 6-7 days a week to this business with his 7 year old child for 14 months straight. no instructor should be acting this way. He yelled at the kid for stepping off the mat after another coach told him to go wash off. Didn’t care the kid was hurt. Don’t listen to the fake good reviews.

Wilson and Carlos are incredibly patient instructors. Their years of experience bring jiu jitsu to Miami lakes and amazing competition training for those serious about their skills. They’re wonderful mentors to the youth!

My 2 children have been in the academy for almost two years. My young son is 5 years old and since he started with Professor Al, Roberto and currently with Professor Wilson we have had very good experience at the academy. My eldest daughter is 12 years old and from the beginning she has been with Professor Wilson and is currently part of the competition team. As a parent, I recommend the academy and we have always been very happy with the discipline, training and attention they give to all children.
