I was seen by Dr. Garcia in the OBGYN department for my pregnancy. She provided me with good care. Sometimes I felt I was it was a bit rushed, but when I stopped her to ask questions she always listened. The front staff are also very kind. My literal one and only issue with this office was that they NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE. I mean, never. If you needed to see the doctor, you had to make an appointment and go in person. Apart from that, everything else was wonderful. Also keep in mind that the OB’s in this practice do not go to the hospital to deliver your baby. I was okay with it, but keep that in mind for yourself.

Why is it this difficult to receive continuing care here? What is the point of going to your PCP if they refuse to REFILL your EXISTING prescriptions (with a record)?I'm not a drug addict, nor homeless, nor unreasonable.I'm a working professional with a LONG hx of my diagnosis and treatment. I am doing what everyone in the WORLD does when they see their PCP. I want my lab work, I want my med refills, and I want to go back to my job. And that did not happen.I've had enough. I've escalated this privately/internally with the attending physician (Dr. Roberto Gonzalez) the first time this was challenged, Dr. Gonzalez immediately addressed the prescription Dr. Diaz was unable to fill. However, the second visit with Dr. Castro, I still encountered the same issue with the same prescription. I followed the protocol and saw neurology despite having YEARS of records with an existing medication.Seen here twice by two different providers (Diaz ARNP and Dr. Castro) and both providers could not provide the minimum standard of care when it relates to this specific request. The system is based on a low responsibility philosophy. The doctors are not willing to prescribe existing medications that they are not educated on. These doctors and nurse practitioners need continuing education and training on when to prescribe and not to prescribe meds based on MEDICAL necessity. NOT based on their poor familiarity and discomfort of prescribing a drug they are not familiar with. Referring to a specialist that i'm already seeing for a prescription is diverting responsibility and care. Have they even read the Neurology report? Did they see the Neurology recommendation that states "PCP wasapparently unable to prescribe Nurtec............We strongly favor restarting Nurtec for migraine control.....". This behavior is poor care and unacceptable practice.Despite the second physician I saw knowing this prescription was a point of previous contention - they decided to continue to challenge the prescription request. The treating physicians here do not have the qualifications, responsibility, nor experience to provide their own due diligence on a patient's existing conditions/prescriptions.In addition to the mediocre action taken on pre existing conditions - this was also a strong example of a pure waste of time:My appointment was at 12:45 PM. I was seen by the physician at 1:40 PM. After asking 30 minutes worth of questions and an exam, he was not comfortable prescribing my EXISTING medication that I needed to be REFILLED. They asked me to wait in the lobby for my LAB ORDERS to do bloodwork and i waited until 2:40 PM without anyone providing the orders.I went back to work and left a voicemail and faxed the request for my labs to be faxed to me. The office said they don't fax patients. So i wasted 4 hours of my work day to get to this appointment and back to work without my refill, and without my lab orders. How am i supposed to get my lab orders if I'm leaving my job that pays for the insurance that pays for the appointment that was supposed to be at 12:45pm?What a complete and utter shame. If that experience doesn't suck, idk what does.

I would give 0 stars if I could! My son who is autistic was receiving his prescription from the pharmacy and it's a medicine that supposedly cannot be abruptly stopped. (Keep that in mind) The pharmacist and MARIE were extremely nasty!! I always come in there patiently and with a kind personality even the MANY times they would talk over me to someone else disregarding what I was saying and attended another person. I ha e been back and forth with this pharmacy about my son medicine. I called MULTIPLE times to make sure the instructions they gave me to be able to retrieve my son medicine (he's been on for almost 2 years from same pharmacy never had a problem) now they say they need a form. Soon as I started asking questions because every time I spoke with someone it was a different story they immediately got nasty attitude. I even said yo them I wasn't trying to place blame I'm just trying to make sure I have the right info BUT NOPE if it wasn't the Pharmaceutical lady in charge that completely ignored me mid sentence and turned her back to me it was the tech at the register CONSTANTLY interrupting me. I'm usually a patient person. Because I try to be mindful of others however the way they treated me was not only uncalled for but VERY unprofessional, as if I had gone in there yelling and started a rucus which wasn't the case. So now my son STILL has no medicine AND the worst part is they still get to go about their day as if nothing wrong happened ?

I recommend this clinic to all mothers. Doctor Garcia Mercedes was the best doctor. She would make sure everything was ok when I was pregnant and she would recommend what I needed for my pain as well as exercises for my pregnancy and what to do and not to do. So far I had the best pregnancy and no problems, except braxton hicks would confuse me from contractions bc I was a new mother but other than that my pregnancy was great thanks to her. If anyone is picking this clinic I would recommend Doctor Garcia Mercedes you won’t regret it. Sooner when I’m ready to have my second baby I’ll come back as her patient again.

My experience is bad, I chose this place because of the stars and reviews but today I’m so disappointed! I have been trying to have an appointment for more than one month, first they put me with a doctor that is retired, then the second time I spent my day because when I was inside they said the doctor is too old and he only receives special VIH patients so I went for nothing , after that they changed my appointment for one week later and they canceled it again and today I was supposed to have my 4th appointment and they just told me that my appointment is not in the system… can you believe it!! This is insane!!! Maybe the doctors are good, I don’t know , but the customer service is terrible, there is not a good communication with the staff, the patient and the insurance! Today I quit and I’m going to change the office and doctor, after one month I just spent my time for NOTHING! Good luck if you choose this place!

My daughter went to this clinic for her pregnancy appointment. She asked if she could give birth closer she doesn’t have experience because she’s going to be a mom for the first time she called me so I could ask the nurse and she didn’t even let me talk, she screamed on the phone and didn’t even listen to my words I was trying to tell her if there was a hospital closer so that my daughter can give birth and she didn’t let me talk and she ignored me completely, she has a very nasty attitude she doesn’t deserve working with customer service or anything at all the name of this person is EDELIS so that people can recognize her nasty attitude. I wrote this so that the owner of this clinic can take actions because in reality she doesn’t deserve to work with the public.

Just got the first vaccine today. This is the most organized location, very friendly staff, superb job. Everyone from the parking lot in to the nurses doing the injections were fantastic. One elderly patient was coughing a bit in the post shot waiting area, and was immediately surrounded by staff attending to her. Its refreshing to see so many people showing so much care and concern in these difficult times.

My husband and I went this morning for our first COVID-19 vaccination. Thank you to the staff who guided us through the effortless process. Helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable, supportive, and safety conscious. We also have our date of return for the second vaccine in February. Highly recommend! We are grateful for the easy-to-navigate process and follow through. From signing up online to actually getting the vaccination, you made it easy and reassuring.

I registered for my COVID vaccine a month ago. The process was pretty smooth, I got my second dose this last Saturday and it went great, it took me 5 min plus the 10 min that I have to wait afterwards to make sure everything is fine. I am so happy with this place. All staff members providing the best attention and support making sure all CDC guidelines are being followed. Clean facilities, well organized. I am very grateful with North Dade Health Center. Thank you guys!
