If you wanna get rubbed then go here. Their dumb shoes rules sucks! If they don't like what shoes you're wearing they will tell you to go next door and buy watershoes. Like it's any safer!? They tell you it's ok then when my friends and I came back they told us now your other friend's shoes are not right after they said just one person needs to change their shoes too. Got the other guy who said it was ok at first and told us it's ok you can come in. Went in had fun and someone stole my friend's cell phone. While waiting outside for my friends to come back while they were looking for their cell phone I saw a British tourist telling security outside the door that someone just stole their phone too. Did some research online and on TikTok as well and there has been many many instances that people are being robbed a twist. Save yourself from going here cause looks like they aren't doing anything about the robberies, security is probably on it too.

I just want to say it is memorial weekend and that it is extremely unsafe for a woman to go to twist because my sister was pickpocketed, and none of the security guards wanted to help her at all and when she asked for help at least five security guards turned her away. And when I was walking around looking for her, at least four security guards asked me "are you OK what are you doing I seen you walking around here". And I told them "I'm looking for my sister I'm worried I can't find her ". I was texting her but she didn't reply. Then I looked at her location but by that time her phone had been turned off. The security guards asked me if I needed help but I did not even ask for the help and I am a gay male but my sister who asked for help is a straight female and she was turned away. I I cannot sit right with that. Twist was OK until my sister fell victim to SEX trafficking. Watch out because they traffic woman there I believe. If you're a woman and you are straight watch out. A women that worked in the restroom worked was so kind to allow my sister to use her phone to make a personal call for HELP!!!!! She slid the phone to her in secret and told her to to go into the stall. She was so smart to advise her and give her assistance. F*** TWIST!!!! They TRAFFIC WOMEN!!!!!

Had my wallet stolen out of my purse within 2 minutes of being inside. I even turned and saw the woman with her hand in my purse, immediately went back outside to get some help from security. Talked the door guy who could not have cared less, finally called security over after asking several times who then asked me to point the woman out. Found her at the bar very quickly but security told me they could do nothing without evidence, but they would "keep an eye on her." I asked if they had cameras and was told they couldn't access them. I've since heard that this happens there VERY frequently. Avoid this place unless you want a huge hassle of getting your wallet stolen before you can even buy a drink.

I've been coming to twist for years. I heard some news from some friends so I came to check it out and confirmed it. The latin room on Saturdays is dead. Now it's just a room with reggaeton constantly pouring through. It was empty most of the night when it usually fills up because of the mix in music. I used to go with my group of friends to drink, dance, and have a nice time, but the salsa is gone, merengue is over, bachata has left the building. It's very sad because this was one of the last few good latin dancing spots, especially for gays, in miami. I guess I'll go back to searching for random nights or events that are on a Saturday. Twist is still good for those that like the same music it's played, the gogo dancers, drinks, or scene vibe it has which can be fun. It's just if your main idea was latin dancing, you shouldn't come here anymore. Unfortunately because I loved it and Aquiles is one of the best bartenders I've had at any bar. That boy can handle a crap ton of sassy gays with wit, style, and an iron clad memory.

Door man told me to stay out of his conversation as he was telling his boyfriend he's tired of cussing people out. Ruined my experience and was an a****** for no reason. Feel bad for him, he seemed like a nice guy, just having a bad night.

The vibe and crowd were okay, the go-go dancers in the back were fun. The main reason I am dissatisfied was the service. I walked in the bathroom and the attendant looked me dead in the eye and said "there are two other bathrooms here, you're not welcome in this one," for no apparent reason. I had been in the bathroom prior and had no issues and tipped him. For a gay bar I feel as though it's highly inappropriate to tell someone they are not welcome in an aggressive manor as such, our community is told we aren't welcome to so many places, it's a shame that it even happens somewhere that's supposed to be a safe space.

Fun place. Bartenders are usually friendly but there are times they can be unfriendly like tonight. Not even saying hi or thank you for a tip

It's a fun gay dance club / bar that's been going strong in South Beach for 25 years (they just celebrated the anniversary). It's filled with guys like me and my partner that have a little mileage but might look decent in a speedo, and some gorgeous guys who look ridiculously hot in a speedo. It's not particularly wild as dance clubs or gay bars go, surprisingly given the location. Club E11even is a good bit wilder (but straighter) and Palace Bar is a good bit more flaming. This actually has a neighborhood-y feel at times; the last thing you expect in Sobe. Outside it looks like just a storefront, except for the throng of Uber pick-ups and drop-offs. Inside it's all dramatic lighting and tropical colors in a sort of labyrinthine layout. Valuable tip: Flirt shamelessly with the doorman / bouncer if it's some sort of special night, and you'll get in faster (both my partner and I dialed up the volume and double-teamed him, hehe). The bartenders here tend to be hectic but friendly. The staff always seems to be in a good mood. Drinks are never watered down. Like almost every other beach establishment, there'll likely be 18% tip already added automatically, so chuck the vanity, get out your spectacles and even the cell phone flashlight if needed. If you're as cheap as me, you're allergic to being tricked into tipping twice. Thumbs up on Twist though, cheap ole' Joe and cheap ole' Doctor C both love the place.

Privately owned and poorly managed. Never have I arrived anywhere and been blatantly insulted by the bouncer. I came to twist (I go very often) with my cousin from Uruguay and the bouncer literally pushed my cousin out of the line and screamed at him saying he will not let him in without a passport. We were taken aback considering we had just arrived and he immediately told me to stop smiling (i was laughing nervously at my cousin) and I asked the man to please relax and not be so rude (this was my cousins welcome to Miami). He immediately began calling me annoying and obnoxious and said he was "ready to ruin my night" honestly no idea what he meant by that and stunned that anyone would say that. I walked away shocked and noticed a man in a suit jacket behind him who I approached and finally explained that international people must have a passport or picture of passport which honestly can also be fake so I don't get what the issue is. Obviously I understood and I simply said that it would be nice if the bouncer could be a bit more polite. The bouncer noticed me talking to the man and immediately approached us and continued to insult me and tell me to get out of there. I retained my calm demeanor throughout the whole encounter and of course the man in the suit jacket escaped while he could. I said whatever and walked away as the man (bouncer) continued to insult me. Honestly I've spent countless nights at twist and paid for the incredibly expensive $18 Red Bull and vodka's because I always considered this a nice place to be, but never again. I don't care that we weren't let it in and I immediately understood why but I am shocked at how someone could be so rude and that management would not only allow it but endorse it.

This place as a whole deserves only 3 starts to be honest but DEREK is one of the best bartenders that has ever served me. This man remembers everyone's name and their drink order. He's super attentive and the music in his room is the best in the whole venue.

First time and it was great on Friday night. Bartender in Latin music area was great. Friendly and attentive. Music was great, haven't danced that much in years, tequila shots helped. Outside space was cool, however the bar with the male prostitution was not my thing. Hey different strokes for different folks.

Was just there 30 minutes ago. Withdrew $200 from the atm for drinks and to tip the bartender and dancers. I found my friends in the back on the first floor. I gave a dancer $20 for a dance and after a few minutes I attempted to tip him, however, all the cash I had was gone. Nothing on the floor. The dancer walked away without asking for a tip. Totally shady and not ideal. Never going here again. Be warned some dancers are crooks.

Being from San Francisco I've definitely had my fair share of gay night clubs, but I'd say this is one of my favorites I've visited. First of all, it's HUGE. So many different dancing stages with different themes and decor. Upstairs was more crowded compared to others and played more of the edm and techno vibe music. The bar upon entering was the least crowded and still had our usual Gaga and Brittany Spears playing. Drinks were $10 - I'd say average for gay clubs. Staff and bartenders are friendly. Bathrooms were clean and they offer you goodies by the sink which sf clubs do not offer. I'd totally come back here!
