This isn't a good ritz Poor rooms Bad service Mediocre at best food The place is old looking and not in great shape There is nothing but the location, if you want to be in the heart of sb that makes this place worth it It could be renamed any other brand and you wouldn't know the difference

TOP NOTCH - RED CARPET TREATMENT- The entire world should visit. we give this place 1 Zillion stars+++. Forever Etched in our Minds. My twin Dawn Lopez and I Eydie Fennell experienced "The Best" and very memorable birthday ever!! From the front door of The Ritz, we were greeted by the parking attendants who were all very pleasant, kind and polite to all the front desk staff. We want to give very special thanks to a few more individuals whom will never be forgotten. The following staff below extended great hospitality, respect, and kindness: Claudia Hale-Guest Relations went above and beyond to make us never forget our 60th Birthday. She brought tears of joy as we entered our room and saw our decorated room with balloons, cards and amazing token of love for both my twin and myself. Parking Attendant-We will never forget Gustavo from who God placed the gift of customer service excellence. Gustavo stood out for his joyful spirit that blessed us and exceptional care we received. Chriscaldo Desalines who welcomed us with his radiant smile and very courteous pleasant personality. He was very attentive and responsive in a timely manner to all our needs. Chris was very personable, and has excellent people skills. We felt welcomed and at ease as a result Chris was able to quickly form bonding connections with both my twin and I. And the next two individuals Genesis Isaula and Alfredo Herrera left my twin and myself with a lifetime of treasured memories. They took VIP customer services to the ultimate masterpiece experience!! Our connection was magnetic!! Genius was always there to answer our questions, give recommendations where to go etc. Together Genesis and Alfredo both unified to strategically to plan a very heartfelt, meaningful 60th birthday celebrations, with a cake at Ritz Carton's weekly Friday night event with amazing musicians. Genesis and Alfredo God-given talents and passion for their jobs were very apparent from the minute they greeted us with their infectious smiles. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity to meet them ALL. Thank you Eydie Fennell and Dawn Lopez James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

The Ritz ain't what it used to be !! A person entered my room, with a key. while I was inside room shortly after checkin. The person quickly left after they saw me. I am Marriott Lifetime Titanium Elite, so lots of hotel experience. Issues: 1. I tried to call front desk but phone in room didn't work. 2. I went to front desk and reported issue. Front desk told me they would inform hotel security and call me. 3. 2 1/2 hours later, no call from front desk or hotel security. Now I am very concerned. 4. Went back to front desk and they acted clueless. Told me it was probably engineering to fix phone. 5. After I clarified that phone issue was AFTER someone entered my room, the front desk answer changed to it was probably engineering to fix something else. 6. After stating I didn't request assistance from engineering prior to the person entering my room, the story changed again to, "oh sorry, it must have been another issue in your room." There were no other issues!! 6. Never got a final response as to who entered my room, with a key, while I was in room and why. My experience: Ritz-Carlton high prices at Motel 6 level of service (apologies to Motel 6). Wondering now if I should stay here for 2 remaining days or move out ??

I came here with a day pass, and went to the pool and had a massage at the spa. I also ate at their poolside restaurant. Where to start first? I'm giving 2 stars because most of the employees were very kind and gracious. Service at the pool was nice, however extremely crowded. That's fine, it was to be expected for a holiday. But a bunch screaming kids and drunk tourists don't really give off "luxury" to me. But it wasn't a horrible experience. Also, people smoking cigarettes at the back side of the pool. I get it you can't control other people, but that's annoying to smell. Zaytinya, the restaurant: I was seated, and service was very slow. When I was finally greeted, I asked the server about gluten free options because I have celiac. He didn't seem too sure on which items could be made and I didn't really get a clear answer. I ended up ordering the hummus and a salad with chicken. I got a mocktail... and was brought the wrong drink. Got the check... very expensive for what I got. I paid about the same amount for a full dinner in Brickell later that evening. The kicker? I ended up getting sick, probably from cross contamination. Not the best experience. Food was just okay. The spa: Here's where I have the most to say. The facilities are nice! Very clean, plush robe given to you before treatment. I stayed in the waiting room (also very nice) until my appointment. Sauna and steam room were standard, but private and peaceful. Now, when the appointment began, I was grabbed by my technician, who was friendly enough, and brought to the treatment room. I was then informed that there was a list of upgrades; understandable, I don't mind to pay more for things like hot stones, etc. But she then told me that the massage was light pressure, and if I wanted extra pressure, I'd have to pay more. Excuse me? I understand paying more for extras, but for pressure adjustment? That was honestly pretty ridiculous. The massage was okay. But the pressure was so light I didn't really feel much of a difference -- maybe I'm spoiled by other places I've been to. Another thing, I informed her of a cut I got on my foot the day before when I ran into an open drawer and hurt my leg and foot (very clumsy, story of my life). And she massaged that part of my foot SO HARD I was almost in tears! And I told her when she first touched that I had a cut there and she just continued on. So that was painful. So again... not the best experience. All in all, when you go to RC, there has been a standard that is set. You expect luxury. I did not get that here. I was honestly extremely disappointed by most of my time here. Of course, this is just my personal experience and won't reflect everyone else's. But I couldn't recommend this place if someone asked me too. They honestly have some work to do here. I'm sorry I can't say different.

Check in was slow. It was during prime time and they only had like two people working and a huge line. The room was comfortable but the bathroom really needs to be updated. The restaurants on site are incredibly slow. Overall I won't be booking again there.

Very difficult check in and poor customer service. They promised me an early check in at 11:00 and then said no when the day came so made me wait 5 hours! What happened? I used to live at the Residences.

The service on the beach was the absolute best! we had the pleasure of being served by Jean two days in a row and he was fantastic. He was personable and attentive and provided fast service with a smile the whole time. we would come back just for Jean!

Terrible service. We spent 600 on drinks and couldn't sit in the hot tub Literally then spend another few hundred and pool is empty and wouldn't let us out our feet in (we're already in swim suits, all females( Just crazy !!! Miami sucks for a reason

Concierge at the front desk is a racist. This is on March 16 at around 11 AM. I am a guest at a nearby Marriott and she asked SEE my room key in order to use the bathroom? When do you need to see a room key in order for someone to use the restroom facilities??? we would've considered Ritz Carlton for future stays had this not happened

This location is tired and dated physically and suffers from deficiencies from the standards of the Ritz Carlton brand of service the name has been synonymous with. Unfortunately, despite these lacking attributes, they still are charging full boat Ritz pricing premiums. There are far better options in South Beach. I have moved on after my recent experience there. As an example, had a reservation for 6 at their main restaurant at Noon. Waited 20 minutes before getting seated because the staff would not turn and clean the tables. Ordered right away due to time constraints. 30 minutes to get a sampler of cold salad appetizers. Entrees came out piecemeal. 2 of the 6 people in my party waited an hour after being seated to get their wrap sandwiches. Rooms are very tired and needing a refresh.

We booked a waterfront room through my Amex. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the 3rd floor with no view at all and in the corner. I immediately had to go down and complain that this is not what we paid for, considering the price we paid. They did accommodate us up to the 10th floor, but we didn't get in that room until around 7 pm. I had put my best friend (dog) down the night before, so I was wanting stress free and head clearing type of a stay. Unfortunately we did have that hiccup. After we got into the room, it was nice. No complaints. The staff was great. I actually had my other dog with us bc she was very sad about losing her friend, too. Everyone was very accommodating to her also, and loved seeing her everywhere we went on property. Including at breakfast and in the lobby. Overall I'd recommend the hotel, but this was my experience this time

From broken elevators to out of control fire alarms to flooding bathrooms to expensive rooms with terrible views, this location was a total mess. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more professional - too bad the hotel itself fell way short of the Ritz Carlton brand.

i am dedicated world traveler and been to many Ritz properties. i would never recommend this property; area overrun with homeless, the beach Ritz beach area is overwhelmed with the detritus of previous nite debauchery, staff is rude and unfamiliar with civil niceties. suggest change in management and would suggest complaints to city of miami beach to clean up what otherwise might be a beautiful hotel and hotel area

Excellent location steps away from the restaurants and night life of South beach. It has a heated pool and easy beach access with cool amenities including bicycles, a game room and pool table. The room was modern and comfortable. There is no on site self parking option. The staff were friendly and accommodating . I would recommend to anyone wanting a great stay in South Beach!
