Store is not there. Closed down or moved? I went there, the address listed and it's a vintage consignment shop. The owner should at least post this so people don't waste their time going for no reason.

Owner was exceedingly nice and attentive. He has very cool men’s and women’s products in a great boutique shop in the heart of South Beach. A great hidden gem. Highly recommend.

OMG! The shoes are amazing. I had a hard time deciding which ones to get. All of them are beautiful. I'm looking forward for the next collection. The attention is really, really good. Juan made sure the shoes fit perfectly.

I bought some of those amazing leather sandals that they sell here. It turns out they were one of the best purchases I've made in while. I've had those shoes for about a year now, and they're still going strong. I always default to them when I want to look casual, but still stylish. Now I find myself thinking that I should buy another pair as well. They're pretty much the perfect casual hippie-ish but not too hippie sandal. This review sounds ridiculous. But really, they're a simple awesome sandal, and shockingly, that's pretty hard to find.

Oh my god!!!! I am out of control when I walk into Sobe Unique. I can't even maintain eye contact with Juan Cortes (the owner) when he greets me. I keep on glancing at the shoes and can't wait to touch them, try them on, and take the whole store home with me. First, if you want to walk in fine, hand-made shoes that feel like you're walking on clouds, then you're in the right place. I'm all about comfort but could never find gorgeous shoes for both work and beach life in Miami. If you don't believe me TRY A PAIR. I especially like the ones with straps that you tie around your ankles. My boyfriend goes crazy when I wear those. He says "honey, I want you to buy ALL your shoes from where ever you got those." The first time I was there, I bought 5 pairs. They range between $29-$79. But they last forever. Juan also told me that if I bring a fabric or a dress and want to have matching shoes, they'll make them for me. Their website www.sobeunique.com doesn't do the variety of shoes justice.

My trip to SoBe Unique was at it's Espanola Way address. It will be moving to the Washington Street location on September 1, 2008. I walked into this little, crowded shop after stumbling onto the quaint oasis of Espanola Way located right in the middle of the craziness South Beach. More of that in a different review. The floor here was strewn with shoeboxes that were simply and sloppily stacked in the middle of the store. I maneuvered around them and found some cute, unique, and comfortable looking shoes. As I spoke with the two friendly gentlemen at the store, I became more comfortable. They told me about how and where the shoes were hand made. Luckily they had my size in the cutest, most comfortable shoes I have bought in years. I asked how much and when the owner said $50 I didn't even blink. Hey, I'm on vacation and I thought the shoes were worth $50. Only to look back later at the picture I had taken of the storefront and the sign that read "Store moving. Everything must go. All shoes $49 or less." So basically this "really nice guy" ripped me off. Bummer! I also found out that everything in South Beach is negotiable. Basically you offer half of what they are asking and then go back and forth until you aren't paying $50 for a pair of shoes. Why couldn't someone have told me this BEFORE I went out shopping!!? Argh. So, I liked the shoe's comfort and style, the owner is pretty cool, just remember to bargain for a good price!
