An expensive hotel for what it is.The staff are super pleasant, friendly and helpful. The decor is rather lovely too, particularly the entrance. The breakfast offering really needs reviewing. Other reviewers are saying the same thing across multiple websites. After 5 mornings straight, I never want to see a bagel again. We stayed one floor up. The smell of disinfectant was so strong it almost felt like it was political move rather than necessary. It also attempts to cover up the smell of damp. The room was well maintained and vacuumed everyday. However the room was very damp. Huge build ups of moisture and condensation can be seen on the walls and ceiling. The central, windowless bathroom doesn’t help either… the extractor in ours was not fit for purpose. At over £1200 ($1700) for 5 nights… more fool me.

I spent a total of 8 nights in the hotel. The hotel is very close to the beach, which is a great advantage. Basically everywhere along Miami Beach is within easy walking distance. The hotel offers free beach towel and beach chairs upon request. The hotel is located on the main road, plus right at a busy intersection by the only bridge over the canal. There is tremendous noise from this road and virtually constant honking of cars. The hotel does not have its own parking lot and you have to park in a paid garage about 10 minutes away. The hotel looks outdated from the outside. Inside it is better, but it's not great. Breakfast is directly at the hotel reception, where you tell the staff what you want to eat. The hotel has no restaurant or dining room, so I always brought my breakfast to my room. The room door doesn't leak at all and in the evening the light from the hallway comes around it. And therefore, of course, a lot of noise. For this reason, I asked for a room change, as I first got a room on the ground floor by the reception, where there was constant noise. Overall the hotel is not quiet. The room facilities are rather poor. In my opinion, this is definitely not a 3* hotel, but rather a motel, because it absolutely cannot be compared with other 3* hotels.

Cute boutique hotel in a central location super close to the beach. My check in process was amazing with Alejandro. When I arrived, there was a woman who was a bit testy and holding up the line. He handled the situation well and when it was my turn to check in he upgraded my room free of charge for the wait. There’s even a delivery service where you can order food straight to your room with a discount on your first order. Super spacious room nicely designed and clean.

Room was spacious. Cleaning is not too bad. Drains in kitchen and bathroom sinks were slow. The phone in the room wasn't working. Location is good. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms. Breakfast was okay but they don't have a buffet.

We stayed here for the boat show weekend and we had an amazing weekend. Staff was super friendly and they offered a little continental breakfast with freshly baked pastries and coffee/juices. We had a bay view and loved the location. We walked up and down Collins Avenue to hit up restaurants and to check out the boats tied up on the bay. We were given two daily chair and umbrella vouchers for the beach and loved the convenient access. There’s a CVS and liquor store walking distance so that was a plus for us. Our sleep schedule was off so decided to walk bay side at 2:00 in the morning and it was gorgeous. Seemed to be a pretty popular club a couple blocks down as evident by all the Bentley and Lamborghinis zipping by! Only minor inconvenience was lack of daily housekeeping service. Our room was cleaned after day two, but that was fully explained at check in and to be expected these days I guess.

Staff is friendly but that is where the positives end. The hallways/rooms smell like chemicals and the bedroom was extremely damp - the sheets felt WET laying in bed. What’s even worse: there was a bug in the bathroom on night 1 and three bugs IN MY BED on night 2.I completely agree with other reviews that say this not a 3* hotel… this is a motel, for sure. I don’t understand how this hotel can have 4* reviews on Google and charging $250/night. 100% do NOT stay here.

HORRIBLE!The stuff was rude, we were getting charge for things that wasn't on the reservation, the receptionist gave us the keys 3 hours later! We asked to stayed 3 more hours since we were given the keys 3 hours later and our petition was denied. Next time I'm staying in a 5 stars hotel instead of o paying for a hotel that wasn't worth what I paid.

Room has a strong smell. I’m not sure if it’s from what they use to clean the rooms. The carpet smells. The water in the sink doesn’t drain. No parking whatever so ever. Not even for a fee. There’s parking in the front . They let whomever they want park there. I had to go somewhere else to pay $45 per day for parking and walked back to the hotel. There’s a resort fee for nothing. Not even a microwave or small fridge in the room. I’m not sure what the resort fee is for. There’s bugs on the bed. I took a video with time and location. I travel to Miami a lot for work and I was flabbergasted by this hotel.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The service was excellent!! They treated us with respect, the rooms were clean, and the location is literally right off the beach. The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that there was no mirror in the room. Only in the bathroom over the sink. I definitely recommend this hotel if you want something off the beach but not in the middle of party central.

THE GOOD: Our room had a nice water view and was spacious. The price was decent for traveling during holiday. We were able to pay the deposit with cash, which was promptly returned at check out. The decor was gorgeous and our rooms were kind of clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and liquor stores. The hotel is willing to briefly hold your luggage after check out if you want to explore the beach a little more after check out. The female staff we encountered were all extremely nice and accommodating.THE BAD: You don't have much control over the A/C system and the rooms get HOT. Our room was soooo hot throughout the day and when we tried to adjust the a/c, the system said "restricted." We were sweating so bad while putting on makeup. There are no coffee makers or microwaves in the room. The only mirror in the room is in the bathroom. Housekeeping did not clean our room between Friday and Monday evening. To our knowledge, there was no parking onsite. No fault of the hotel's but we heard car horns honking all night and day, and I was awakened by a loud car accident, so if you're a light sleeper, I would not recommend. Not many restaurants will deliver food, but Venezia Pizza is pretty good and will deliver. One of the clean towels in our room had red stains on it, so you may want to bring your own towels and cloths. We frequently smelled STRONG cigarette smoke in the hallways.THE UGLY: The hotel smelled like mold. The smell was sooooo strong and awful. We were able to slightly cover the smell in our room with air fresheners, but it wasn't much help. While trying to adjust the a/c, I discovered mold on one of the blades on the a/c unit. The mold affected our allergies heavily during our entire stay. Also, almost all of the Latin male hotel staff acted as though they could not communicate with us in English, which was frustrating. It seems as though they only treated certain people this way because we met other groups of women who were staying at this hotel, and some had the same experience, while others didn't.I would not stay here again, but our experience was not terrible.

Great cost benefit! The reception staff is kind and friendly. The room is nice, the sink was clogged and doesn't have a full-length mirror, but it's worth the price. The location is good and there is a public parking for $8.50 a day for 5 min walking. They serve breakfast and make ice water, ice and microwaves available all day, beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs are also available. It is a great hotel to stay.

I Stayed in this hotel for 12 nights and it was perfect. Location is great. Many convenience shops and restaurants in the area and you are at a 2 minute walk distance from the beach. The hotel staff is lovely. My room (208) was just perfect . Spacious, clean, well preserved and it looked down the patio where you can have breakfast. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. Room has iron and iron table ( really convenient when you are staying for a long period). Breakfast is good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great customer service from the friendly staff. Very accommodating throughout and after my stay! Left my phone and they were beyond helpful in getting it mailed back to me. So grateful! Friendly staff, great view, good breakfast, and a clean establishment! You cant go wrong at The L Hotel.
