Matt the general manager of this hotel and his staff are doing an excellent job managing this beautiful slice of paradise which is located right next to Biscayne Bay at the very end of Lincoln road away from the tourist. This was my Fourth time staying at this property and I requested a top floor large room and the view of the bay from my room was amazing!!!

I've been going to the gaythering for Monday Night Karaoke since 2018 and I have never experienced any uncomfortable and traumatizing in my life back in March one of the front desk workers His name is Angel is a very nasty mean spirited he yelled at me and racial profiles me and deemed me as suspicious I was sitting outside on the phone charging my phone sitting outside enjoying the ambience and the people on a Friday night when he aggressively tapped me and yelled at me saying oh I need to buy a drink I look suspicious your going to get me fired my boos is here just scolding and yelling and cursing at me I wasn't bothering anybody I was so embarrassed and in shell shocked I left and started crying ever since then I have not been back to the gaythering since the traumatic incident happened I don't fear anybody or am I not never will be intimidated but I want him not there any more bit only the fact he scolded at me and racial profiled me he made me and other people and a friend I know every uncomfortable it would be so much peaceful if he wasn't there he is a mean spirited low vibrational overbearing nasty human and a bane to my existence and he should not be working in any safe space that is LGBTQ friendly in the state of Florida. I've been doing karaoke at hotel gaythering for years and never been in any trouble and never been discriminated against for anything in my life I'm 28 years old live in Miami Gardens I catch a bus here to have fun be in a safe space in be myself and I will make not one step there as long as Angel Aka " Dark Angel " works there when he is not working there I will come back and enjoy gaythering .

My husband and I stayed 4 nights here, and I must say it was a wonderful experience! The whole staff was extremely attentive, front desk was very helpful, he gave us a lot of recommendations on restaurants and suggestions on things to do. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, Our room was very clean and neatly decorated. Irma, our housekeeper, was the sweetest lady. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. We definitely recommend Gaythering Hotel to anyone coming to Miami Beach!

Witty. Stylish. Top Tier hospitality. My husband and I had the time of our lives staying at this awesome hotel. From the incredible front desk staff, to the sweetest housekeeper ever (Irma), to the AMAZING owner, Alex—the Hotel Gaythering provides an all-encompassing, thoughtful experience that is truly unforgettable. At the bar you get to rub elbows with the locals and really experience the Miami Beach lifestyle first hand. The decor throughout the hotel makes you feel like you’ve been transported to an art exhibit with a sense of humor. Our room was clean and fully stocked with the essentials. The hotel is located in the most perfect part of South Beach. You are a few steps from Lincoln Road Mall and some of the best restaurants the beach has to offer. I would GLADLY recommend this hotel!! 6/5 stars!

This was my first time in Miami and I can say that I have not been disappointed! Gaythering hotel was just a wonderful experience and I will return without any hesitation. The staff is exceptionally friendly and makes you feel comfortable from the minute you walk into the lobby. Many thanks to Keith from NYC and Melissa (I hope I got the right name) for their warm welcome and friendliness. The rooms (and the hotel in general) are very clean. The sauna and bar of the hotel are a real plus that attracts many people from Miami and different regions of the world. Well, this is a perfect place to stay, even if you’re coming alone and want to make some friends! Thanks again and see you soon I hope!

Tonight is my last night of a 3 night stay and I will definitely be back! Everything was so clean and towels and sheets smelled fresh.I love the community vibes in the hotel bar. The nightly events are so fun I ended up hanging around the hotel more than exploring.Be sure to check out the sauna! And the fun king rooms for the adventurous

My partner and I spent last week here (Dec. 26 - 30) and had a great time! Our room was clean, the hotel was conveniently located to a lot of fun things (beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping), the bike rentals were easy to coordinate, the staff was amazing. Free breakfast daily was perfect and evening entertainment with local drag queens was so much fun. The bar crowd was lively and friendly, and we didn’t mind coming back to the hotel to end our nights out every night. The sauna was super relaxing and very fun - a MUST visit. The only thing that would’ve made our visit perfect is better sound proofing throughout; after a long day out, falling asleep to the sounds of bar patrons partying and music blasting wasn’t ideal (didn’t last very late but late enough). If we make it back to Miami, we’ll def try and stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 3-night stay in an XL crate room (adequate room for 1-2 people). The staff are really friendly. Plenty of common areas if you feel like being social. The shared showers and bathrooms were really clean, as were the rooms and the sauna. I did spend most of the time at the sauna and highly recommend checking it out even if you're not staying at the hotel. The one thing I'd do differently next time is to choose the refundable fares while booking the rooms. I had to change my travel plan last-minute because of the snowstorm and airline issues (the management did refund some of the money tho!).Just got back, but already thinking about when I can visit again.

I stayed here for 3 nights and they are soo good. The cleanliness was the best part, everything is super clean and organized. I took the petite king room. The room was so spacious and loved the cool decor. The bar and sauna are very good as well. There was lovely breakfast from 8 am to 11 am. They have free bikes which you can take and roam till sundown and they also have a storaage facility where you can keep your luggage if you check out and have some time left on your last day. The staff were all very professional and yet polite, loved the experience overall. If I ever come to Miami again, staying here again for sure ! Positive experience. And location is good as well, 30 mins walk to beach(10 mins cycling) and nearby there are good restaurants and south district to explore.

I have visited the Hotel bar many, many times through the years and I always had a great time and referred my friends, who also loved it! Only recently, I've noticed a situation that made me uncomfortable, however, I decided to wait instead of writing a review. Something happened this past Saturday that pushed me to write this review. I understand that the Pandemic has caused for many businesses to struggle, but that should not impact the customers. I have noticed how the bartenders mix the drinks but the amount of alcohol they pour, is quite little, to the point that you can't taste it sometimes. I particularly don't like very strong drinks, as I don't like to get drunk with just a couple of vodka sodas; however, they should pour the typical 1.5 to 2 ounces per drink, or use a simple bar jigger would do the trick. This has happened on numerous times and if I have to pay $15 for a drink, as a matter of respect, it should be a real drink, not just soda water. The other incident that happened on Saturday was, with one of the bartenders. In the evening there were two gentlemen working the bar, one shorter with no shirt, and a taller one. When my husband ordered the second round of vodka sodas to the taller guy, we received vodka tonics instead. My husband is very shy and didn't feel comfortable asking the bartender for a replacement, so I approached him and mentioned that he had order soda, not tonic. At that point the bartender could have simply said "I understood he said tonic" but instead he argued that my husband had ordered tonic. He didn't make the situation easier by engaging in a stupid discussion; why would we want to return a drink we ordered, unless it was the wrong one? In the end, I said "you know, you missed the point, the customer is always right". While he ended giving me the correct drink, he spoiled my night; I was respectful and friendly when I approached him, but he couldn't admit that he didn't hear, perhaps the music was too loud, but arguing with a regular patron was not the answer. We ended leaving the bar after the incident without even drinking the cocktail.I loved the place and with time I'm sure I'll be back.
