She is rude, a bad professional, and she doesn't have accurate information about international travel certifications for dogs. I don't recommend this vet to anyone.

Dr Conejos is one of Florida's greatest, if not the best, veterinarians. I have been going for years with all my pets. She's a great human being who cares about the importance of our loved ones. I recommend Dr Conejos to anyone who wants the best pet care.

Dr. Alexandra Conejos killed our 3yo healthy labradoodle during a routine neutering procedure. In June of this year we took our labradoodle to Greenleaf Animal Hospital for a routine chryptorchid neutering procedure. After surgery we picked him up, where Conejos told us the surgery went well, he did great, and he would probably be in more pain than normal because the testicle was “really stuck in there” and she claimed she had to pull hard to get it out. That night he was very very sick. Lethargic, sweaty ears, couldn’t lay down, throwing up and hadn’t peed since surgery. After we kept insisting something was wrong, she finally agreed to do an X-ray where she came back to us told us she couldn’t see the bladder. She had no words and was dumbfounded, unable to tell us what happened. She said she would have to do emergency surgery to try and fix it and 4 hours later she called my husband and said there was nothing she can do and she recommended not waking him up. That’s when we started realizing something was very wrong with this vet and rushed to pick up our dog and take him to a hospital with a board certified surgeon that could try and save him. We did and after several excruciating hours, they saved him. He was in their intensive care for ten days in recovery. The surgeon there was in shock at what Conejos had done. She said Conejos accidentally removed his prostate gland instead of his testicle as well as severely damaged his urethra and bladder. She was able to save him but told us his recovery would be long and he may be incontenent for the rest of his life. After ten days we brought him home with a catheter, a diaper and several prescription medications. He was unable to pee on his own. For the next two months he was in and out of the hospital for treatment and care. At home we had to clear his catheter and change his diaper every few hours. During those two months he developed a nasty bacteria in his bladder. On September 5, our beloved doodle passed away due to organ failure as a result of the bacteria spreading, originating from Conejos errors. It has been the most devastating and traumatizing time in our lives, and everyone should be aware of how incompetent this vet is. She is currently under investigation and we hope she is held accountable. We found this vet because of her great reviews online, but she should not have a license, and if we can do anything now, it's to warn people to not fall for the positive reviews. She should not be able to treat anyone's pet and everyone should avoid her at all costs.

I've been taking my cats to Alex for 16 years, and for a reason. She's a star! She's so kind, personally involved, and really cares about your pets. Natalie is always available and goes above and beyond to ensure you're taken care of. I would go nowhere else and I absolutely recommend Greenleaf to anyone (and have many times).

Cannot say enough great things about Dr.Alex, Natalie and team. They care for my senior dog with arthritis, spine and dementia issues. Always responsive to my inundated emails, questions and concerns. Genuinely cares for patients which is hard to find in Miami. So fortunate I found them.

My dog and I were hit by a car while out for a walk. They got my dog in the same day I called ….excellent, friendly, very caring service and fair & reasonably priced! I will definitely take my dog back there and recommend them to everyone!!!

Not good customer service, the DR will do all kinds of unnecessary test just for extra $$$$. Also the receptionist I forgot her name, an older woman that is very incompetent and very rude, who definitely needs to be retrained on customer service skills. For the money you pay, not worth it at all! Save your time and money go elsewhere.

I called because I need x rays done. The ER doctor said to try pain management and see what happens or do x rays now so I decided to wait. I called today bc last night she was still in pain regardless of meds and I had someone so rude on the phone saying they didn’t have any availability and I should have done the x rays yesterday, that she can be paralyzed. Like thanks, let me turn back time lady. The vet didn’t press me, so how about not shaming dog parents that are trying to do the best they can ?!

If your dog has cancer GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Dr Conejos mishandled my dogs cancer case, and because of that her prognosis is much worse than it would have been if we'd treated her cancer appropriately earlier on. For basic care this vet is fine. I think she's competent and intelligent and compassionate. The practice is understaffed and overworked - and I don't think they have time to read a lot of recent research. I hope this review helps someone.

So lucky to have Dr. Conejos and her staff at Greenleaf! I moved to Miami 8 months ago from Kansas City and the other vets I tried before this were negligent and impatient with my 95 pound Staffy-Mastiff (though who could blame them!)But when I went to Dr. Conejos I knew she is the best on the beach for us. Very patient with my large dog and thoroughly explains and happily answers all of my questions. She even sent a follow-up email a couple days after our first visit asking how Jack was doing- true thoughtfulness and care I had never experienced with vets before. Even if she is not around when I have questions, the front desk staff is equally as helpful, friendly and willing to steer me in the right direction. She also tries her best to make each visit as cost-effective as possible for me which I appreciate being in my 20s and having a rescue with ongoing issues.I HIGHLY recommend this vet to anyone, your fur baby will be in great hands!!!

been taking my 2 large dogs and cats here for a very long time. i love everyone there and it’s awesome. natalie at the front desk is super cool and dr. conejos rules. My dogs love going there also which is odd considering they only get shots and nail clippings done there. goes to show the staff is awesome and keep all the animals pain free
