As an African American who obtains the position as a Director of Operations for a prominent and reputable hotel within the south beach area, I have never in my life been so publicly embarrassed. While my company has a National company account with Bank of America, and with our hotel obtaining a new management company, we had to receive physical checks this pay period. Everyone who cashed their checks at Bank of America from my company had no issues until I entered the branch. Once I handed the teller my check, immediately he started to scratch, pull at the ends of the check, hold the check up to the light, run the check 30 times, call a manager and express “I don’t think this check is legit”. I called my hotel (mindful it’s a Saturday morning and my personal bank is closed so I figure why not cash the check at the bank that is actually the issuing bank and is open); I spoke with my Director of Human Resources who stressed the issue that the check is an actual check and the bank needs to accept it. The manager then goes, “oh well the check is real, however just one of the signatures doesn’t match”. I then explained for the bank to call my hotel directly, speak with the New General manager and have him officially tell this bank that I’m a exempt management employee with the company. From showing my credentials, showing the email of our new general manager obtaining the position with his actual signature signed in on various emails, giving my card to the bank, and explaining for them to contact my hotel for further approval, still to no avail. With me showing proof of the new general manager, and having the director of finances signature correct and the co-signer being a new one, it’s to the discretion of the bank now. Both teller and manager then told me it’s nothing they can do, and I explained I needed help because no other employee had an issue except for me. I explained I’m not leaving from the window and they walked away. The manager then came up with some creativity to get me to leave.. stating “oh the item number is invalid on the check”. First the signature, now the item number is invalid. I could do nothing but laugh and tell them God Bless them. The teller is a young white male who named starts with an O. The manager is a white hispanic lady with black hair. God bless them and be mindful that God sits high and looks low at all of HIS who HE loves. I’ll go deposit it at my bank Navy Federal and i advise anyone who is a minority to NEVER bank with Bank of America. This public display of racism was not only unprofessional but humiliating to a person of color who is a model hardworking law abiding citizen. God bless them. My experience was horrible!

This is terrible! These are the worst employees of this bank ! 1 month ago I was issued a new plastic card , while waiting I was given a temporary card , also plastic ! Today I applied for the same option! But this disgusting woman doesn't even want to listen and repeats the same phrase : we don 't do that! Completely disgusting lies and rudeness! She needs to be fired , where HR looks ! Where is the management looking? Or are they only needed to accept money ? Get away from there , or they will lie to you right in the eyes !

@sasha geisha This is not the first time, because this is the only branch on the south beach, we have no choice but to communicate with these boors , they issue a vren card and why they refused. Maybe she didn't like you personally, in any case, she's lying, they just don't want to work and therefore refuse people minor help, disgusting behavior and rudeness on the part of the employee : where does the management look

@sasha geisha Yes, you are absolutely right, this branch of the bank has been requiring verification for a long time and I agree with you that employees are constantly rude to customers, they are ready to lie just not to help you, it's time to apply the cancellation culture to this bank on Alton Road

I'm the customer of BoA for almost 15 years already, and fortunately didn't have any major problems with them, neither with this branch!! Most of the employees have sufficient experience to solve almost any problem, they are very friendly and even dogs friendly! Also this branch even that it's small has enough seats and sofas to wait for assistance and also I have to mention that it's pretty good organized!

Great experience here and attention here by staff and greeter. Didn't think that was possible at a BoA branch.

Luis Granda has absolutely avoided - at all costs - helping me get prequalified for a mortgage. The BOA on Lincoln Rd connected me to Luis on Feb 23rd (it is now April 6th). My original call was scheduled same day in Feb and then blown off, but he did eventually call me back after I emailed as a follow up to the appointment time that was not honored. I asked several questions that were all thoroughly answered, and that has been the extent of his help. Every last email has been ignored. Phone calls ignored unless I reach out multiple times. Even after being a woman on his voicemail, he emailed me back as "Mr" and has paid absolutely no attention to the actual content of any of my calls/emails. His last response to me was an apology for being unprofessional and that his 30 years in this business have caught up with him, hence being off his game with me, and that he was redirecting me to his manager. And guess what never happened? And my follow up has been ignored as well. How do people like this keep their jobs? I've gone through with the mortgage application, and I still have no idea how much money I have prequalified for, and am no further along in April than I was in February. If you're looking to buy a home, just avoid Miami Beach locations altogether. If you get stuck with Luis Granda, you'll be homeless before you get a call back. Truly disrespectful and unacceptable.

Terrible customer service from manny and the unattractive teller who refused service because of closing time even though I was in the building before closing.

It is very unfortunate that Bank of America has as its manager Mr. David, a very arrogant person who rudely brags about his position in this bank to humiliate customers and give the worst service. It is totally ridiculous that you go to your bank because you need to change usd 20.00 to quater and they only change usd 10.00 and you have to return the next day to change another usd 10.00, or have to go to another bank ... or have to come with someone else to be able to get a measly 20.00 dollars in coins to wash your clothes ... I really have no words to express my frustration

Bad service, need it to update my phone number for safe pass and they could not do it in person, I do not like Bank of America to put limits on how much money I can wire transfer to someone else specially when is my money and I pay extra for the transfer. 12 years with Bank of America and will close all my 3 accounts. I M done with this always bad service and changing extra fees. Going to try CHASE Bank maybe they better. Wrong hrs of operations displayed, never enough employees, On Tuesday will close all my accounts,
