This is my third time here. The location is great everything is near by everything you need near. Axel the front desk young man help out a lot when I needed help with small things. Patrick on my last day of as far the best server/bartender you have because. I saw how even interacted with other guest checked on them and even myself. If you work in hospitality you should know when you go out do you wanna be treated good so if you work in this industry, how do you expect other people should be treated or should be serviced. He was by far the best Top tier. I will be back again but Let’s do this i believe In you!!! Make that money ?
(Smalls things matter)
-Invest in mosquito repellent
-Make sure every day someone cleans the pool as in the leaves and the leaves on the floor.
- small events too

We have stayed the 2nd time here. This time it was the worst experience for a long time at this hotel. The 1st time we had a much better experience.
We have been at other Axel locations before.
First of all we needed to wait until 3pm to check in. Overall the rooms really need to be renovated and are not clean, you can see the dust everywhere. Dirt particles and stains everywhere, on skirting boards, the floor, bathtub, even the bed sheets had stains.
The toilet paper was not refilled with a backup toilet roll and make up wipes have never been refilled
Breakfast: This is really the worst of all. You pay for a room with breakfast and only get as complimentary dish, toast bread and scrambled eggs (egg substitute). Jam, butter and coffee with different milk/ oat milk. Anything else costs extra. I would not book the breakfast, you do not feel welcome and the staff is unfriendly and does not treat you as a guest!
Furthermore we needed to pay extra for phone costs for 2 calls which was a local phone number.
Overall we would never book the hotel again due to the poor cleanliness and the absolutely poor service at reception and breakfast.
Only positive points: location is top, and the Sun loungers on the beach are free of charge

Good location, overall very welcoming.
Check in can last an extremely long time, only one hotel receptionist and the check in process is very very slow. Basically losing valuable time in Miami Beach as a direct result and consequence.
Kind of disappointing that this hotel won’t be better staffed and prepared for busier periods.
I found the unnecessary long wait extremely annoying especially after a long flight. You can do better!
Other than that, this place seems decent.

The only saving grace is the location. They say they have free lounge chairs on the nearby beach, but the umbrella costs 20 dollars.
Likewise, breakfast consists of something very basic like tea, milk, coffee, bread, a plate of scrambled eggs and a couple of croisants. A bowl of cereal or fruit is paid separately: 10 dollars each.
For bringing a banana, bought by me, they made a fuss about me and kicked me out so I couldn't finish my breakfast.
Cleanliness does not exist. They barely make the beds and replenish towels. See photos.
Except for Jonathan and a few others, the staff is quite unfriendly, especially Axel and the breakfast manager, a really unpleasant girl.
Cards are continually demagnetized.
The rooms are about 12 m2. They have a refrigerator and a stool.
And it is not a gay hotel, since they accept all types of public, which means that there is no movement. The spa with sauna is good but it is always empty as is the bar.
Having other options, this place is disappointing to me, especially because they require a $200 guarantee (!). If you go, don't think about paying with a card because you may have serious problems with the return. Pay Cash and get a refund at check-out.
I would not return under any circumstances.
Rooms: They don't clean the floors, the TV was old and had an annoying purple streak. Soft mattresses and tiny pillows. And if two people go, one stays standing or sitting on the bed because there is only one stool.

Nice place, pool and cafe cool, very close to the beach line, + you get free chairs
Minus their karaoke nights, than suppost to be until noon but can be long all night, money is priority not people peace

I would definitely not recommend this hotel to my enemy! So lets start with arriving i was sure that the uber dropped us at the wrong location, picture’s definitely did not match actuality. No shade what so ever to the lgbtq community but I’m not apart of it so i would rather not see it so openly. Checking in they charged me a nightly fee that was not in the itinerary … upon entering my room it smelled as if it was moped with old mop water i sprayed air freshener and it did not help one bit. No microwave to warm my food. Everything was dirty. Including pool area. They didn't release my 200$ deposit until i called to inquire. Location was the only upside.

Good afternoon, we have just stayed at Axel beach Miami and truly as customers of the chain we have been very dissatisfied. The breakfast is not bad for the price of the room, but upon arrival they tell us that they have to make a deposit to the card, so far correct, the problem is that according to Mr. Axel at reception he tells us that it will take 4 days to arrive. be refunded, when upon arrival we were told it was automatic. At check out they charge us $30 for late check out, we told them that this is not the case and the response was...ah yes, sorry. We did not do a late check out, the answer was don't look at the time. But the charge was already going to be carried out. We try to leave our luggage to eat at the pool and they tell us that it is $5 per suitcase. Gentlemen, we are going to eat at your restaurant, we are not using a pick-up service all day, just leaving it so we don't have to take our suitcase to the restaurant. If you need my booking profile in your chain this last year, I have no problem sending it to you. As a client I will not come to your accommodations anymore. Traveling is about giving an experience to the customer and in this case the score that I have given to the establishment already indicates that it is very fair compared to the other hotels, perhaps they could cover it with the service, highlighting that Jonathan is Their customer service was very correct, but this is not the case at check out or could it be that we have had bad luck? The last image is very important in the business world and making you feel at home was one of the reasons that made me be his client. When you ask the reason for something and they tell you: these are the new rules, period. At this moment you see that the interest is more economic than service. I hope that in the future these comments that I make will be reconsidered from a more constructive perspective. For my part, I would not recommend your establishment, I am sorry that you have to hear this, but I have decided to close my time with Axel Hotels.

We stayed in a standard room just above the main lobby.
Pros:
- room is spacious and surface clean
- a/c works
- walking distance to beach and ocean drive and other attractions
- swimming pool is great
- free breakfast (very light selection but still a nice option)
Cons:
- very tired and worn out room, stained in grime in places/washroom (try not to look too much). Molded, chipped bathtub, and bubbling plaster along shower and walls. Odd smells in bed comforter.
- noise/music from bar and neighboring rooms is very prominent. I’m used to noise, but it may be hard for other travelers.
- no in-room safe
- wifi didn’t work during our stay
Rooms: The rooms are art deco, spacious, a/c, and well lit, but also very worn out and well used.
There was a lot of stains, chips, mold, bubbling of plaster walls, built-up grime from years of use, and it shows on every surface if you look (so don’t look too closely). The comforter/bedding/linen had an odd smell. The WiFi didn’t work.
Walkability: Close to a lot of great amenities nearby. A few minutes from the beach and other tourist attractions. Easy to walk around and explore from.
Food and drinks: Our stay included free light breakfast which consisted of: juice/coffee/tea, toast, croissant & scrambled eggs only.
