I visit Port St Joe often and Mediacom is one of the businesses that most people and businesses get their cable and internet through. I was staying at a hotel that used Mediacom and was sadly disappointed when I turned on the tv and could not get a local news station; as Mediacom discontinued local channels on 12/14, very disappointing. For their internet I've used it several times and it's not really reliable; I don't know how anyone can work from home using it.

Worst service there is. Let there be a single cloud in the sky and the service goes completely out. If you work from home DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I literally pay almost $80 and my internet is out every few days. I pay for service I never get to even use.

Stay away!! I really don’t know how a business with this poor of customer service can stay in business? You’d think comcast or knology would buy them out!! Extremely high costs, customer service is a joke!!

My Internet goes out multiple times a week horribly unreliable. This is the only Internet service provider in the area. I am forced to have the service and cringe paying for it every month. If you have another option, go for it listen to all the bad reviews they are true!

Mediacom is a terrible internet provider. Would give less than 1 star if I could. They are the only provider that services our current home so we have no other option but to use them. I have had to use them twice now and I am not sure how it is possible but they have gotten worse. Our Wifi is completely unreliable and goes in and out randomly multiple times in a day. I absolutely hate paying my money for this service. Do not use unless you have to.

WiFi has gone out twice in the last two months. Pro tip: if the fiber optic cable was cut the first time, maybe protect it better so it doesn’t happen again -just a thought…

It's the most insulting thing to call about an outage and then the robot caller tell you you can improve your wait time by paying your bill. What? How about you give me an estimation of when my service that I already paid for will be restored. And how about some credits for the days that you are out of service. Worst customer service ever. Whole company is a joke. CEO is an Italian billionaire who started his career working for Pfizer so I guess we should expect to be lied to.

UPDATE: I emailed the address that Mediacom puts in their canned response to these comments and they responded immediately. They have removed the charge to my account and resolved my issue completely. I was not expecting this so I have updated my negative comment and rating.be careful with their equipment. If you use their service (and i don't have much choice for internet where I live) make sure you photograph the nameplates of your boxes and converters and compare them to the equipment list they have on file for you. I am moving and they are charging me $300 for a little converter box they insist they provided that I don't have. What's worse is the boxes can be bought on ebay for 29 bucks. Why they feel the need to scam me out of additional money after overpaying for their substandard service is beyond me.

The absolute worst in customer service. They don't credit your payments (sent electronically from my bank) and then want to ding you with late charges. You can't call anyone that can really help. Spent 2 hours on the phone before getting my bank to prove to them that they had my payment (they had it for 3 weeks already). Sent them another electronic payment for the next month and after it posted to my account waited 2 days. They still don't show it. If there was any other option, I'd take it.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I give them 0 stars. They took our money and strung us along for 3 weeks saying they could provide us with service. We have called them multiple times and it’s them stating they are working on it. Called this morning and they said they have already processed a return on our money and that they can’t provide service. I do not recommend them at all.

This service goes out on base roughly 2-4 times a week! Please buy internet services elsewhere.

Came out right on time to install, system works flawlessly. Even a little faster than I expected. Amazing introductory price. Can't speak for others but my installation, service, and cost was great. Highly recommend.
