Front staff and vet techs are absolutely sweet and wonderful. Dr. Perez is extremely unprofessional. If you have an opposing opinion as him, he will continue to bicker with you demanding he is correct, even after being told multiple times to disengage from the conversation and stop. Vet school has changed a bit since 1984... some continuing education and professionalism classes are needed for sure! He doesn't disagree that they have contracts with prescription diets and push those to sell and didn't disagree that the ingredients in them are awful. He is anti-raw diet. I recommend joining some RAW/BARF diet groups on Facebook in order to re-educate him on the benefits and studies of diets for cats. He also debunk this theory saying a stray cat would eat RAW RATS and RAW ANIMALS, but to cook the food for my animals. I told him multiple times to stop recommending things I am not there for and to disengage with me, but he kept pursuing being confrontational leading me to advocate and become confrontational as well. Very disappointing when a vet won't consider NEW information out that is BEST for the animal nor let the customer speak on their evidence at all because they went to school for 8 years..to learn mainly surgeries and meds...not diets of animals. Also, I paid for an exam for my cat but Dr. Perez didn’t even check her heart, etc.

Within 2 weeks of moving to Melbourne both my dog and cat suddenly needed a Vet. Suntree was able to see them quickly. They took time to explain things, answer my questions and check their progress the next day. I would highly recommend them!

If you truly love your babies, I suggest taking them elsewhere. Over the span of 7 years, involving 2 dogs and 4 cats , Suntree Animal hospital told us that they they were all dying, had fatal diseases, cancer, lymphoma, or "IDK" disease, meaning they had no idea what was really going on with our babies, so they either guessed, or misread films, or misinterpreted records, or just simply didn't care because there answer was always , he's dying , he'll suffer, best to put him down. ON 3 DIFFERENT CATS THEY SAID THIS. I NEVER EVER EUTHANIZE MY PETS BECAUSE 1 PERSON SAID IT WAS THE END. HAD I LISTENED TO THEM, MY CATS WOULDN'T STILL BE HERE , 15 YEARS LATER, NONE HAD THE FATAL DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER I WAS GIVEN, NONE WERE ON THEIR DEATH BED, NONE WERE EUTHANIZED (BECAUSE I REFUSED AND GOT 2ND OPINIONS, EVERY TIME EVERY CAT EVERY DOG). MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PLACE IS THEY :
OVER PRICED, UNDEREDUCATED, UN-EMPATHETIC, ALL ABOUT THE $$$$ , All about appearances and location, and can't tell the difference between respiratory illness , Sinus infection, Allergies , and a failing heart. You do you, but if you get someone here telling you your pet is too sick and there's nothing they can do, but euthanize? RUN RUN RUN. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM, DONT KILL YOUR BABIES, GO TO TRUEVET IN MELBOURNE OR MELBOURNE ANIMAL HOSPITAL, ANYWHERE BUT HERE. NOW IF YOU JUST WANT TO MINGLE WITH THE SNOOTY STAFF, AND BE SEEN AT THIS ALLEGED POSH CLINIC, THEN YOU NEED NOT READ ANY FURTHER AS YOUR PETS HEALTH AND WELL BEING ISNT YOUR PRIORITY.
EVERY ONE OF MY PETS THAT THEY GAVE A TERMINAL DIAGNOSIS ON AND SUGGESTED EUTHANASIA....... IM. HAPPY TO SAY ARE ALL STILL ALIVE ANS AND WELL

I couldn't write enough good things about this vet and clinic. Became a new patient in April 2024. Everyone that works here is immensely kind, caring, and passionate about helping your beloved animals as well as you, the human patient. I had to unfortunately kiss a few frogs before finding this prince but wow was it worth it. Dr. Cochran is AMAZING. She was in no rush at all to help us, guide us, answer our questions, and understand our situation. Thanks to her and team we finally got some answers to what's been going on with our 11 year old dog and are prepared for her future. Unfortunately not a good one but without this information we would still be searching for an answer. Not only were we welcomed and treated with the utmost respect, kindness, and empathy, but they also called to follow up and ask how our girl was doing. These folks are amazing amazing amazing. Please, you won't regret your business here. My family thanks you so so much.

Truvet on Sarno scammed me out of a lot of $ for a simple procedure, didn't prescribe the normal antibiotics, so when my dog got a GI bleed from the carprofen, it got infected right away.
Despite it being late in the day, Dr Perez, knowing my dog wouldn't have a chance if we waited til morning, told me to get there right away and did every life saving measure my finances would allow after being scammed by truvet for $1255. He started to do a little better and I was out of $, so turned down the 10 am appointment. But that night, bc the 1st vet never prescribed antibiotics, my dog quickly turned septic and I had to bring him in for euthanasia. But my heart is full of gratitude for Dr Perez and his compassion for a stranger and their dog. He did all he could for us and I am eternally grateful!

⚠️ Warning: Terrible Vet Clinic Experience ⚠️I regret to share my recent experience at this vet clinic, which has been the worst I've encountered. The atmosphere is marred by rude staff, and it feels like being in the midst of a bad reality show filled with drama. The captain of this terrible crew, the manager Sue, appears to be a heartless, middle-aged meangirl, showing no concern for you or your pet's well-being. Save yourself and your furry friend the distress – never consider this clinic for your veterinary needs!

Dr Perez and all the vet techs are so wonderful! Ive only ever taken my ferrets here, but I'm sure theyr just as good with every other critter also. They r willing to try to work on cost with you, although they don't accept care credit or do payment plans. I'll take my babies here until I move too far away to do so.
