The new “very poor performance” app is a clear indication that SCCU is going backwards instead of forward.

Customer service at SCCU is TERRIBLE! I applied for a boat loan but no one at SCCU will answer the questions I have about the loan. Also, they will not send me anything in writing on the terms of the loan. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had applying for a loan. I’ll be using a different lender.

I just want it to be known I am a known YouTuber and Social Media Woodworker with a great following on multiple platforms. I am about to use that power, along with the power of the BBB (and possibly a lawyer) to demolish this company for not complying with the multiple emails for insurance they requested and received. They are trying to DOUBLE my truck payments by applying their own premium insurance (After I emailed and called them NUMEROUS times to update my insurance) from $550 to $1000 a month. I think this is some type of scam they are working to get money out of people. Just wait until they hear from the BBB. They are going to wish they never did this to me.

SCCU have refused to provided evidence on Zelle transaction that were fraud for $6000. Have been treated as a delinquent instead I am the victim. I have been a member since They were EASTERN. Now the managers and supervisors yell and are rude on the phone. Have not been able to get to the escalation department it’s going on 1 year. I used to love this credit union now the service received has been the worse. Names of staff Dillion and Carolyn! Go to a different bank.

Team member Julianna did extra mile for my daughter , she was polite and accommodating, my transaction was very pleasant & the location has enough parking space. This is around 12.21 pm I had my spot under the tree shaded not too hot . Thanks

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had while applying for a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) at SCCU. My journey, marked by inconsistent communication and procedural inefficiencies, has left me deeply disenchanted with your institution.Initially, I was assured that my Debt-to-Income (DTI) ratio met the necessary criteria for the loan amount I sought. However, this was quickly followed by the receipt of an application containing incorrect personal details, including an erroneous address. This lack of attention to detail in handling sensitive information was both concerning and disappointing.Compounding this was the directive to open both a checking and a savings account prior to my application being considered by the underwriter, a requirement I complied with under the impression it was essential for proceeding. However, after submitting all the requisite documents, I was abruptly informed via email of the application's denial, without any substantive explanation. It was only upon my direct inquiry that the underwriter cited my DTI ratio as the reason for denial. The absence of initial clarity on this critical aspect, coupled with no dialogue about potential adjustments to the loan limit or insights into the DTI concern, was frustrating.Perhaps most disheartening was the lack of personal communication from the loan officer throughout this process. After dedicating considerable time and effort to meet all application requirements, a simple, direct conversation addressing the outcome and next steps would have been both respectful and helpful.Additionally, I find the practice of mandating the opening of accounts prior to HELOC approval to be questionable and unnecessarily burdensome for applicants. This, along with the complexity and lengthy wait times encountered when attempting to reach the loan department via phone, significantly hinders a smooth and customer-friendly service experience.I had approached SCCU with expectations of professional, transparent, and efficient service. Unfortunately, my experience has been starkly contrary to these expectations. I urge you to address these issues promptly, to not only resolve my concerns but to improve the experience for future customers.

SCCU doesn’t understand how business works or what customer service is. The absolute WORST financial institution I’ve ever dealt with. Took them over an hour to figure out how to send a fax (which was their idea), no one returns calls, no follow up and no accountability. I don’t know how they survive.

I wanted to share my recent experience with Space Coast Credit Union, as it left me feeling mortified and frustrated. I had been a loyal customer with both checking and savings accounts for years. After selling my Florida house, the money from the title company was wired to my checking account, and I moved back to my hometown in Pennsylvania.
When it came time to purchase a condo, I worked with another title company to process the transaction. Unfortunately, the SCCU representative I dealt with refused to process the wire transfer from my checking account to the seller's account simply because I am deaf. She refused to communicate with me, leaving me stunned and panicked. My condo purchase was at risk of falling through due to this unnecessary delay.
Thankfully, I sent a message through SCCU's secured messaging system, and a supervisor intervened, instructing the same representative to finally process the wire transfer. After closing on my condo, I decided to close my SCCU accounts and will never do business with them again.
I wanted to share this experience as a cautionary tale for others who may be considering banking with Space Coast Credit Union.

I've been a SCCU member for 15+ years. I've had a personal account with them, and several loans through them. Over the last few years, they've progressively gotten worse. Fees for everything started popping up, I was questioned extensively about a fraud charge they flagged and warned me about, and then this last loan. The loan department delayed processing the loan several times to where we had to open new inquiries, affecting credit scores. They bumped us to multiple loan officers who clearly didn't understand anything about processing the loan. They repeatedly lost paperwork we sent in multiple times. They kept pushing back signing dates. There was no loan officer at closing, so no one who actually understood the loan was there. We had to get them to reissue paperwork at the last minute because of an error on their part. And they offered to service the taxes on the recordings as part of the loan, except they got the taxes wrong so they couldn't submit the check. And it's up to me to correct it, except they can't even cut a new check. We may see penalties or a lien because of their ineptitude.I will never get a loan through SCCU again, and am looking into a new bank.

One star because I must. I applied for a "pre-approved" credit card and submitted all of my documents. After I submitted my documents I was told I need to submit my additional income that was not included to my job. I submitted my court documents for my alimony. I was then called and told that I need to submit my all of my documents in regards to my divorce. BAD BUSINESS.I have never needed to legally submit anything other than my final judgement of dissolution of marriage including my court ordered alimony, which is what I submitted. I do not need them to know all of the details of my divorce. AMZAZINGLY poor customer service. Divorce is ugly. Do I need to hand them my dirty laundry? No. I am not that desperate. There are so many other outstanding customer service departments with better credit unions.
