Delivered both of my children here, most recently my second daughter was delivered here a couple days ago, and while they are great as far as the actual procedure and doctors, the events that follow once you are in their care is a nightmare and will outright put your own health and wellness in jeopardy. I’ll just shoot you straight, don’t expect to get any sleep because they will treat you and your spouse like a revolving door (I have slept for a collective 7 hours in the 4 nights now I stayed here total. They send people in your room every 15 minutes and none of them are ever on the same page, or know what the last person did. Communication is non existent, and they seem very lazy and understaffed), they invited a pushy salesperson contractor-photographer into our suite who pressured my wife to sign the rights to over 100 images of our child away while I wasn’t even there (and never signed off on anything myself, effectively leap frogging me and just allowing my wife who had just undergone major surgery in the c section to decide on her own) while my wife was sick throwing up and on a heavy cocktail of drugs, and the photographer didn’t even know what she was doing as she flashed my daughter on the first picture and then denied to give my wife the “free image” she was verbally promised to get her to allow this to take place (this happened with their weird little photographer partnership with Mom365), certain nurses will guilt trip you/question you or show visible signs of frustration when asking for your child to go to the nursery for some much needed rest (we have a toddler at home as well and wanted to show up happy and rested to her with her new baby sister, we got the exact polar opposite (we are highly stressed, our relationship is strained from the events that have taken place, we are EXHAUSTED and my lymph nodes are swollen so I’ll likely be sick shortly after getting home, and thanks to the staff we are currently taking shifts because we aren’t comfortable sending her back there again), the temperament and competence of staff will be different every shift change and most of the night shift will give you attitude or have such thick accents you can’t understand what they are even saying, the rooms are run down (plumbing issues, lights not dimming or flat out not working at all, thermostats busted causing rooms to get too hot/cold but never just right, my wife threw up from heat the first 5 mins in the room because it was 76 then we couldn’t get it up past 70 at night to sleep, didn’t realize 72 was such a hard thing to achieve?), the suites are like closet sized and don’t comfortably fit more than about 5 people without suffocating everyone, the couch in the room is like laying on a wooden plank, prisons give you better sheets and blankets, it is just an awful awful experience postpartum. We loved Sarah, that’s about all I can see good about our back end experience at Holmes Regional in the maternity wing. Can’t wait to be home tomorrow (assuming they actually let us leave on time, they kept us 4 hours over when they told us we could go last time, quite literally sat with straight As on the go home home checklist for hours while they made us just sit and wait)If you’re a Holmes member reading this: DO BETTER!!!If you’re a patient shopping hospitals, especially for child birth, explore all of your options! As I said, the surgeon we had (Dr Lopez) does her job to an extremely high level, is personally the most impressive person I’ve ever met, and delivered a beautiful healthy baby and blessed our family for life. But I’m not sure this hospital understands or cares at all how low level and pale in comparison they look from the pre birth side to the postpartum side. Night and day.

In short, I won't have my son in this place, the attention is terrible , I spent four hours without a solution to my pain when I was pregnant. Terrible placeDr Williams I wouldn't leave my baby in the hands of a doctor.

Holmes Regional Medical Center is the worst hospital I have ever been to. The security staff working there sucks also. I would never recommend them for any medical treatment at all. Very bad experience. Will never have any medical treatment there of any kind.Ken Shaw

Updated to add that this review is not to be held against A3 nursing staff. I'm not sure how a hospital so neglectful in patient care was blessed with such an amazing nursing staff, but you ought to do everything in your power to keep them because they are the ONLY positive thing you have going for you.Medical teams don't communicate anything with the patients. I was put on a surgery schedule without anybody telling me what I was having surgery for and then surgery continuously got pushed back numerous times for over 24 hours without communicating with my nursing team so I was continually denied meds, food, and drink. On top of that, the nurses try to call someone for me to file a complaint with, and everyone says "not my job". Patient satisfaction is SOMEONE'S job.........I've never wanted to sign myself out to go home and die more than I do right now. At least then it's on my terms instead of alone in a dark room where doctors and administration don't care about me. Seriously don't come here unless you're ready to die.

Excellent experience in the pediatric unit emergency room at Holmes. They knew exactly what to do, how to handle a challenging situation with my daughter, proper testing was performed, and effective treatment given. The staff had endless patience with my daughter. RN Mark and Dr. Dudley were a true God-sent.

The care I got the hospital was fair.I wanted to recognize the staff that provide meals for patients. The food was surprisingly tasty. The service in the dietary division was excellent. I particularly want to recognize Mathew, who leads the dietary division. He does an amazing job and he is very professional, kind, and patient. Kudos to Mathew!!

This hospital is a joke. My mom is a cancer patient, and she's usually at Adventhealth Orlando. She had a high fever the other night, and the paramedics brought her to Holmes Regional. She was left in the emergency department for 17 hours, barely any water, and the food she was given was almost inedible. She's been confined to her bed because of how she stabilizes herself, doing what nurses at Orlando told her to do. It took 5 hours to get migraine medicine, basically no food for 16 hours after that poor excuse for a breakfast in the er after she got admitted. The tech didn't clean the pick line or even put fresh caps on it after flushing it out. It's taking hours to get blood results back. The staff here isn't talking to my mom's care team or listening to her. I wholly regret making her come here.
