A Green Thumb truck drove over my lawn. I called and asked for a supervisor to come to my house to assess possible damage to my lawn and sprinkler system. This never occurred. Green Thumb is careless and callous.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GREEN THUMB LANDSCAPING. The owner met with me to evaluate my needs. He then followed up with a proposal and a scheduled a date. They completed several big jobs on my property. They installed drainage pipes that they connected to the existing downspouts and added 5 catch basins between the drainage pipes they installed. They also repaired my pool drain by removing broken pipes and installed pvc pipes that they connected to the drainage pipes. They also tilled a large area of yard that 2 big trees were removed. That area had a significant root system from the trees that had to be broken up. Once tilled, they added several inches of top soil. They added additional top soil, where needed, to all areas around the property that they dug up for repair and installation; then layed sod. The crew was excellent, and the owner checked all the materials, work plans, and progress through to completion. EXCELLENT COMPANY!!!

I hired Green Thumb to fill in a pond in my back yard. I thought the quote was fair and Mark (Green Thumb owner) quoted an option to raise an area next to the pond. Originally, I told Mark I wanted the other area filled in but prior to the start of the job I called the Green Thumb to cancel. I was out of town when the job was actually accomplished but when I came back all of these areas were filled in so this means Green Thumb ordered a ton more dirt than they needed to. While Mark acknowledged the mistake on his end, now I needed to sod a MUCH bigger area than I was planning on originally. Mark quoted $200 per pallet and 20 pallets needed (I have a large yard and it was destroyed in the front and side yard as well). Mark's guys performed the installation and did a great job but as part of the installation I told them to leave an open space where I want to plant trees in the future. I figure no reason to sod an area that I will dig up in the spring anyway and I'll save some money. After the sod project was completed, Mark presented the bill for $4000 even though they used less than 14 pallets of sod. I told Mark he didn't use 6 pallets so it should be $1200 less and then Mark said I was lying, it was $4000 for the job and he would never quote it as a price per pallet and the 20 pallets was just an estimate. This was the whole reason I told them not to sod the area I want to plant trees on! I even told Mark after he completed the job that he owed me a pallet for the area of the trees because now that it was $4000 for the job, I wanted that sod and he wanted to charge me for it. Additionally, Mark's been in the business for 35 years and he over-estimates the amount of sod by 40%? It really seems like he did this to get back at me for the dirt he over-ordered.Another frustrating part was Mark got extremely upset and rude about me only giving him a 50% partial payment after the dirt project was completed. He wanted the full amount and I told him I would pay him the rest when it was done because at that time the yard was a disaster (especially in the front) and Mark lost it. "I've been in business for 35 years and nobody has ever withheld payment from me". Partial payment are COMPLETELY normal in all industries when the job is not done and insures you complete the work to the customer's satisfaction!Overall, I would steer clear of Green Thumb for this type of landscaping project. The guys did a nice job and I think the pricing was fair initially for the dirt/labor but dealing with Mark on the back end with the sod left a sour taste in my mouth on the entire project.

Order 5 yards of topsoil delivered to my house. Driver showed up mid day & expertly dumbed about 3 yards in my backyard & rest on the front driveway. Saved me a ton of effort wheel-barrowing it around to where I needed it. Soil pretty black/rich with organic matter minimal garbage. Shared some with my neighbors & think we may have to get another load!

Needed some pepper trees removed near my drain field. Had them remove all the brush on an adjacent lot as well. Over 2 days of hard work and it looks fantastic ?

I felt the need to leave a review because I was apprehensive using this company based off the reviews already online. I had no issues with this company. They were one of the only companies I called that actually answered the phone to schedule a shipment of sod. I got 5 pallets of Bahia grass. I had it delivered on a Friday and installed ourselves on Saturday. 1/5 pallets had ants but it’s grass.. so.. that’s not really anyone’s fault. Ants live in grass. Prompt service and delivery. My grass looks great 3 weeks later. First picture is delivery, second is after we installed, third is 2 weeks after install.

I purchased 2 palats of grass from them. The price was great (and delivery is included). The second palate wasn't as nice as the first one. It had more pieces that weren't evenly cut and I haven't been able to salvage about 6 of them. But if I ever need more grass, I'm still calling these guys!

I do not recommend this company as two of their dump truck drivers were aggressively driving on their way back to the shop apparently since it’s Friday doing 67 miles an hour in a 45 mile an hour zone weaving in and out of traffic and cutting people off and losing debris from their load could’ve seriously cause an accident also the drivers are clearly not following DOT protocol or rules with their speeding dump trucks highly dangerous and will end up killing somebody one day again I do not recommend them as they are not professional.

Purchased 2 pallets of Floritam grass Nov. 2019. Looked great for quite a while then systematically died. Recently called office on John Rodes and was told there was no guarantee and did not offer to replace or give a refund (approx. $900), so basically they aren't standing behind their product. Their representative said it was probably web worm eggs that hatched and that we should have sprayed with insecticide immediately after laying it. My husband did so because he had just talked to a neighbor where the same thing happened to them. Their grass company at least replaced it at half price.

I had 5 yards of large pine bark mulch delivered and installed 2 weeks ago. My appointment was on a Wednesday. The truck and 5 workers showed up. They walked around my yard with me, asked me where I wanted the mulch to go. In about 75 minutes they had the job done. They were very nice and polite to work with. When they completed the mulch they swept up the mess and blew off my driveway. I was very pleased!

Did not disclose before hand, that they have a pallet fee of $7.00 each which is added to their quoted pallet price. Which indeed makes their pricing not competitive to others in their business. I called other sod companies....they do not have such fees.Since the non-disclosure, I will take my business elsewhere and strongly suggest getting a hard copy of your bill....before giving them your credit card!!!
