Each and every officer I have met or encountered with this Dept is as professional and neighborly as any person you'd ever want to meet. Working with them on community projects. Meeting them at calls for service in town. Encountering them in the community when they are on personal time. Proud of their policing our community!

My wife and I just saw the July "messed up" video which just confirms they do in fact walk among us! We both have CCWs and are EMTs and we know the law. We wanted to take a moment to COMMEND all of you and thank you for all each of you do to watch over us. Thank you. Keep up the GREAT work!

11 June 2017 Ocean Park. Most every morning I meet beach friend Fran and watch the sun come up to start the day off right. This morning, by the time I arrived Fran was already at the shore line waiting for the sunrise. I noticed she had blood on her face and a nasty bump on her temple and although Fran insisted it wasn't a problem I encouraged her to walk back to the access and about then Melanie appeared like a guardian angel. After a short trip to the ER (thank you Melbourne Beach Fire Rescue) pleased to report Fran will be up for tomorrow's sunrise. Just wanted to acknowledge the personal and professional attention of the Melbourne Beach Police Department, and Detective Sargent Melanie Griswold in particular, for the quick and compassionate response. In Fran's words, "All the help from you, the police, and other beach friends certainly make me even more grateful that I live here." we thank you for your service.
