Dog-friendliness: Great place

This park is pretty nice. They have quite a list of things going on, and have a food shack on site, a pretty well stocked store. However the web page is misleading. Their web page clearly lists WiFi under amenities, right under fire ring and picnic table. When you get checked in, they tell you yes, for Wifi, you need a router, for a $100 deposit and $5 per day. Hmmm. The cable is free in some locations, and that is shown properly. But if there is a charge for Wifi, you should say that on the web page. We declined to pay extra for Wifi.
We were excited that the hot tub and pool was right across the road from our camp site (Key West - 318) because that was important to us. But the hot tub was out of order the entire time we were there. We could have walked or driven to the other one, but that defeats being close. The showers could use a bit more cleaning, the water takes a long time to heat up, and there is hardly any water pressure in the two showers we tried. Some one was enjoying some devil's lettuce IN one of the showers on Friday night! The whole area reeked of it! The pool was not heated, but I really didn't expect it to be. Our site was pretty nice except it dropped off on the hook up side, we had trouble leveling our rig out. We were between two permanent residents and didn't really have any complaint there. We didn't have any issue with the electric, sewer or cable hookup, but the water pressure was very low at the site.
We followed directions in the email sent to us, went directly to our site, set up then came back to check in. I think maybe if I had not already set up We would have left to find another place to stay. We won't be back.

Not a good place to camp. I have been there twice with my family, and will probably never go back. I asked the pigeon poop lady a question and received a rude answer. They are more focused at entertainment than they are the campgrounds. Found 1 restroom to take care of about 40 campers camping.

Location is outside a small town, has a decent priced groceey store, dollar general and family dollar. Facilities were very clean. RV 21 and over side was spotless. Pool and hot tub are heated and pool is salt water:) We relocated here for a few days to avoid hurricane Milton and everyone was so kind and accomodating. LOTS OF ACTIVITIES TO DO ONSITE:)

We booked this spot last minute to evacuate from Hurricane Milton. We checked in on 10/8, and left a day early to get back to check on our house. Supposed to check out 10/11, but left on 10/10 for that reason.
The pros:
-The sunset the night before the storm was beautiful.
-The pigeon coop area is very cool. We didn’t get to stay for the pigeon race.
-When settled in the second spot, our neighbors on either side were awesome. They were also evacuating their homes from the storm. Very nice people.
-It seems they invested in new laundry machines at Primrose (pictured)
-A quaint, “fairly” quiet and secluded spot.
-When I was helped by two middle aged women at the office counter, both were very pleasant and knew how to handle customers.
- the folks at the cookin shack were also nice
The cons:
-The playground could use some loving/redoing.
-The lady who sits in the back left of the office, I think named Debbie, did not give off the same friendly air as the other ladies working the counter. I paid in full online and when I arrived I was handed a coupon code brochure from a resident of the park. I wasn’t demanding to use it but thought I’d ask. The nice counter lady handed it to Debbie who said “I can’t do anything about that because he’s already paid in full”. Maybe a small nuance but she could have addressed me since I was standing right there. “Sir, I’m sorry but since you have paid in full I cannot apply it but feel free to save for next time” or any version of that especially if she is some type of manager (assumption)? Also, when we booked, we picked one site that wasn’t level. She said that was the first time someone complained about that site and she seemed she couldn’t believe it. Maybe so, but it still isn’t level lol. My second site was “more” level. Maybe she just needs a day off ?
-Because the site I chose wasn’t level, a back in site, I did request a pull through site for my second and third nights. I was up-charged which is technically a rule but if I were in their shoes I probably would’ve absorbed the $10 total extra for the inconvenience. Just if it were me.
-I called on Thursday and spoke to a man at the office. No idea his name. I was not expecting a refund of my last night since we were leaving a day early because of the storm, but instead just asked a question. He essentially laughed at me on the phone and was very off putting saying there would be no refunds. Again, no problem, was just asking a question.
-One of my neighbors in a class A had a similar experience with being charged incorrectly for one of his passport America nights. But he caught it and they fixed it.
- There was also a young couple behind us arguing loudly one afternoon. I didn’t report it but should have.
Overall, I think instead of investing in more activities, they should spend money on making the gravel sites more level and also improving the parking lot where you check in. Maybe paving that would be excellent. My neighbor next to me also was complaining about his site not being level. He had to jack his motor home up off the tires to make it level. Nobody wants to feel like they’re sliding downhill. I can see why this is appealing for a secluded place, but because of the attitude of some of the staff, we won’t be back. I’ve worked in customer service my whole life and yes you have bad days, but I felt these were more personality quirks.

Loved this place! Second time staying here the new pool and relocating the "snack shack" are awesome.I applaud keeping the history of the old camp in tack. Perfect for larger groups to have a "little privacy ".

Very nice camp-style amenities with a modernized rv park. We stayed in a cabin right near the spring! Will return

Thank you, Sylvia, Gail and Debbie for helping straighten out our reservations for Labor Day Weekend.
We've been camping at SRR for about 5 years. The sites are well spaced and plenty long enough.
I only wish the Key West area was 18+ rather than 21+.
Cheers!

We stayed in the log cabin. Although it said could accommodate 6 people, don’t see how. It was tiny. Pull out couch was pretty broken down and bed in loft was up a ladder. Railing on loft was not sturdy and no way to close off the ladder if you had younger children sleeping up there it would be too dangerous. Floor was dirty and bathroom shower had hair in it.
The facilities are really nice and property seems well maintained. I wouldn’t say I won’t return but I would be really selective about the sleeping accommodations.

The big RV camping section was very nice and just what you would expect. If I had one complaint it could have had a bigger bath house but it was never actually an issue but I could see it getting backed up. The pool was nice and so was the spring and river access. They are definitely making lots of investments in the property.
