This motel is going down hill. The previous owner Rodger took excellent care of this place.I have been coming here for 16 years during hunting season. No room service, just empty garbage cans and replace towels.Prices overpriced. Remember this is a small town.No ice machine and pop machine didn't work. This place won't last long with this owner.Lost my business and my other hunting buddies business, too!

My buddies and I have been staying here for a long time. The previous owner Roger and his managers did an outstanding job keeping his motel clean and tidy. It's not anymore. It's to bad the new owner doesn't seem to care about her investment. Time will tell.

I’ve been staying here for hunting season for 5+ years. The previous owner roger was fantastic and always went above and beyond to ensure everything was above satisfactory. The current owner doesn’t seem to care about quality or repeat business as the beds are now full size as opposed to the old queen beds and The new bed frames are extremely cheap and the legs are broken under both beds in our room (and other rooms) we are a group of hunting buddies. The air mattress a buddy was provided (and charged for as an extra guest) was flat when he woke up at 5:00 am to go hunting. Myself , wife, and daughter stayed in the large camper the previous weekend and the A/C in the bedroom put out a smell like raw sewage, no key to lock the door and has a huge hole in front of the refrigerator covered with loose lumber and rugs. The bunk room slide out can not be used as the kitchen hole goes into that room as well. The tvs in the camper also do not work. You get 2 snowy/blurry channels in the living room and absolutely nothing in the bedroom (the camper cost more than a room). The rooms have had new flooring which is nicer than the old carpet but the beds are terrible at best! We stayed for 5 years because of the “hunters rate” as well as there is only 1 other place to stay locally which has no parking. Time to buy a camper and stay somewhere else from here on out. It’s sad because the place has truly gone downhill which is hard for a motel that has the weekly monthly rate appeal. It seems the new owner only cares about the money coming in and not putting anything back into the business!! The rate has gone up over 50% from the old owner to the current and the quality has certainly gone down. Hopefully they get this turned around very quickly or this place will be another old junky building in Mayo. Cindy the manager has been very nice and does accommodate as best as she seems to be able to. All complaints aside the room is very clean..Rooms: Beds are absolutely terrible even for 1 night, frames are very cheap and most of them are broken and will not support 2 adults and are full size. Price per night has gone up over 50% after 5+ years of repeat business. The room was clean howeverSafety: People roaming the parking area at night. I won’t let my wife and kids out of the room after dark.

Great little 9 room motel and 15 spot RV park. All rooms are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee station. Rooms are not cleaned daily for your stay only at check out so don't drop your towels on the floor. The trash won't be emptied or the beds made. Only upon request.

Old School motor inns are a rare find these days! This one has not been sold out on the international circuit. It is exceptionally clean, clean bathroom, clean tile and even grout. Everything works! Nice staff, location appears very safe. Surrounded by beautiful historic live oak trees, a cafe, a large park with more humongous trees. This gem is well worth your traveling dollar!

Upon entering our room it was hot and had a musty smell. We leave early and come back late and it was very dark. The outdoor light, no switch to turn it on. The cleanliness of the room needs some work. Other than that it was ok.

The rooms could be better in regards to tech (I.e WiFi connection/Ethernet connectivity). I’ve had two different experiences when it comes to customer service here and by far Caranita wins the award for best customer service. I had to book a 2nd week, considering I’m waiting for my rental to open up and she has been such a great help in pointing out the best places to eat and explore. She often checks up to see if I need anything and it honestly makes me feel welcomed. The first time I booked here, I met an older lady Mary who came across as a little cold. I’m not sure what the rules are for extended stays but when I asked her, due to my husband and I schedule for traveling (solar work) she said we were only allowed to stay max 3 weeks due to owners not allowing longer stays (yet I found out otherwise via word of mouth). There was an off remark she made but it has nothing to do with me but everything to do with extended stay that I chose to stay quite as I won’t be staying long-term. Other than that it’s been a smooth stay. Definitely seek out Caranita for booking you stays as won’t regret meeting her.
