I think about this animal clinic everyday. 2 years ago, we brought in our kitten to get her spayed. unfortunately, the vet botched the surgery, leaving our cat with a hole in her stomach. eventually, we called to ask about the hole, but they said the hole was "normal". since it was the weekend, he told us to wait a day (since it was normal) and to take her the next day (Monday) so we didn't have to pay an emergency vet fee. we obviously listened to him because he is a vet and he said it was normal. i guess it wasn't normal because we woke up the next day to our cat laying with her organs hanging out of her stomach. This is a real story. the emerald coast animal hospital has traumatized me and will forever remain in my thoughts. I will never forget what they did to my cat. i think about this "mistake" of theirs daily. Rest in piece Libby.

Took my older kitten here to get spayed and after a couple weeks she started to vomit and be lethargic. They took X-rays and said she had hairballs and needed medication to stop the vomiting and pass the hairballs. She was fine until the medication was over with, she started vomiting again and was becoming weak. I scheduled a new vet appointment at a different vet cause Emerald Coast wanted $700 to see her. I came home from work that same day and she was completely limp. I took her to OnPoint and they said she was too critical for them and to go Niceville ER. While she was there they diagnosed her with feline panleukopenia. The Vet Tech told me the medication they gave me masked her symptoms of the virus until I ran out of pills. She died that same night near midnight. My cat has been three places in her life, where I picked her up (at 2 months old) cause she was a stray, my house for the last 7 months (no contact with any other animals/cats), and Emerald Coast Animal Hospital. She obviously got it from this vet and they misdiagnosed her. I can't believe my cat who was 9 months old died because they didn't disinfect properly and cross contaminated their supplies with the virus. I'm very upset and don't recommend coming here at all.

I loved it here. My dog loved all the receptionists and the vet techs were so nice, and showed so much compassion to my baby. I did give 4 stars just for the fact that I never was able to speak directly with the vet and we kept having to fight worms even after 5 medications for different types! That is honestly the only problem I've ever had. The customer service was great which is hard to come by now and we never had to wait long periods of time for an appointment and they were more than happy to answer the phone and help with any questions!!

My dog wasn't feeling well and this was the only place that had availability. A few things I did not like: I did not get to go back with my dog, one of the vet techs was rude when I refused to sign an anesthesia protocol. My dog has heart problems and he has is a specific protocol developed by his cardiologist. He also was not their for a procedure that required anesthesia. Lastly, the veterinarian did not come out and talk to me. I'm used to being in the room with the vet and talking to them. Pros: they had availability. Overall, they served their purpose.

I wish I could give 0 star on this vet. As other people say on their reviews, they are terrible. They don't even care about your pets. All they care is money. After I had been going to this vet believing they were doing right, I realized I was wrong. They are rude and don't even respect you and your babies! I should have taken my baby to a different vet sooner. I found a very sweet and careful vet who has a lot more knowledge and respectful than this vet later on, but it was too late for my baby.. I don't want anybody to experience this, so if you could, stay away from this vet.

Worst experience I have ever had. Called on a Thursday morning to see if I could bring my old, crippled dog in to be put down on Friday. She gave me a 2pm appt. I arrived, upset already for what was about to happen and was told my appt was for Thursday and they would still do the euthanasia but I could not be present. The rude receptionist blamed me by saying she had called and left a message. Well I said my goodbyes, paid and left in tears, also pissed off...but wait there's more....she forgot to get me to sign the form and didn't call me till after 7pm...I was not answering my phone as I was still upset. My baby sat in a kennel all day and night due to their incompetent receptionist, now I have to go back this am to sign paperwork. I better be with her or I will be filing a lawsuit

Do NOT take your pets here. All they will do is look for any way to charge you more than you need to pay. It is the equivalent to taking your car to a bad mechanic. The last time I took my cat in for ulcers of his mouth they charged me $180, the time before that $120. And nothing changed! None of the "treatment" worked, none of the shots worked, none of the medicine worked, and of course there's a $50 "consultation" fee that we shouldn't have had to ever pay because we had been taking him there for the same problem! We knew what was wrong! I took him to another vet and within a day they diagnosed him correctly. Turns out he didn't have ulcers at all! So that was either poor vet experience or an excuse to get more money out of us. The new vet also realized he was severely dehydrated which is something Emerald coast didn't even acknowledge (mind you we took him to both vets within a week). Also Emerald coast was trying to charge us upwards of $3,000 for the surgery on his mouth that he needs, where as the new vet estimated it at $900!!! Absolute crooks that have no sympathy for pets or a passion in their field. I'm disgusted with these people. My poor cat was literally dying, hadn't eaten for 4 days, and they charged me $270 for all this medicine and treatments and IT DID NOTHING FOR HIM, and when we expressed the urgency of the situation we were told rudely "Well it's going to be $500 to leave him here". I take him to a new vet yesterday and today he's totally fine, and I only paid $170 for all of his medication AND a shot. Please, save your money and your pets life by avoiding this place!!!

This place has a bad rep- but I had to get my fur babies seen! My 6 month old kitten threw up a WORM! Nasty. Cue panic attack. I have another cat who's almost 1, and I assumed he probably had worms too. I took my vomiting cat to the pet ER immediately - only to be told it's gonna be an expensive bill, and it's not emergent so I should just go to a vet. So I called my normal vet, and they had no openings for almost a week. Every other vet I called, said no new clients. Until I called this place! They were able to fit me in next day, and take both of my cats in! I took my guys in, the place was really clean, the receptionist was very nice as well. I did wait about 30 minutes to get a room with my boys, because I was not willing to let them take my boys without me supervising (due to the bad Yelp reviews.) All together the appointment was an hour and a half (not bad) and it cost about 60$ to treat both my boys, plus 50$ for flea treatment which would help prevent the worm they got. I was so happy and so grateful, and I have nothing but thanks for this place. TLDR; fair price, reasonable appointment time duration. Clean facility with very nice staff.

I took my beautiful rag doll cat here for an emergency urinary blockage. As soon as I got there I had a bad feeling. They took Teddy and the tech said " I'll start the catheter. They originally wanted a 500 deposit but then just decided to give me an estimate. They x ray him without even asking me if I wanted them to do that. Then they take me into a small room where the vet who has NO COMPASSION telling me it will be 2743.00 and no payment plan and no way to work with me even telling me to set up a "fund me" page. All he cares about is money. I tried for hours to see if I could get the money but I could not. Then they bring Teddy out charging me 200.00 for only X raying him and exam. They DID NOT insert the catheter and the vet refused to give Teddy pain meds or antibiotics till he could see another vet which I took him later that day and they are charging me less than 1000 and said it could even be less than that. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

Can't believe this place is still in business! I left my Skye Terrier in their care to be groomed, then when I came back hours later, they tell me they mistaken my Skye Terrier for somene else's dog and nudiered it. To add insult to injury, they made me pay for the operation that I didn't even ask for. Unbelieveable.

First, the location is convenient. No complaints there. I wanted to get a paper prescription because I wanted to save over $100 by getting the prescriptions at Costco. The receptionist told me that the vet said that he DIDN'T HAVE TIME to write the prescription. I drove to Costco in Mobile to get the prescriptions with their medical records and the pharmacist rightly told me she couldn't fill the prescription without a prescription. The clinic closed ten minutes before so the pharmacist couldn't call. Today, I asked for a written prescription, which they were able to do; HOWEVER, their policy is to charge $10 per written prescription. Another of the office staff said that prescription pads cost money. What a surprise! So does everything else when running a business. I believe the policy is is to recoup funds for not filling the prescriptions in their office! Their policy is going to cost them greatly -- thousand$$$$ per year -- since we have five cats in addition to the two dogs who were seen Saturday, two of which are senior. By the way, I never met the vet, and have no idea how the animals were treated since it was a simple annual exam, shots for one of the dogs, and heart worm test.

STAY AWAY The vets here have no respect for animals and only care about your money. I brought my dog in for a dental cleaning and they dared neutered him instead... I ended up being charged 200+ for an operation I didn't ask for. The vets and receptionists were unhelpful and were quick to turn my complaints away. On another occasion, a friend's dog was staying here for their daycare services and ended up being attacked by other dogs and was near mutilated! He ended up having to stay at this vet for a month for care, but his necessary, very expensive surgeries had to be paid for. He was traumatized of other dogs since. Therefore, I repeat, STAY AWAY

This place sucks. One of vets is an idiot. One of my dogs tested positive for Giardia, the vet only fecal tested. Didn't blood test. My other dog was a false negative and tested positive on a blood test, two weeks later. Cost me 2200 at an emergency vet when my dog stopped compensating. The emergency vet asked, "Why didn't he treat both dogs?" They never answer the phone. They never call back. Would give zero stars if I could. Daycare and boarding center is great. I am finding a new vet. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.
