I was interested in trying different jeans but since 2020 their fitting rooms are closed. So I left. They are going to lose customers for that reason. That is all.

I love what they do, the bigger picture.I appreciate them and having the opportunity to give women another chance. They have amazing items, amazing prices and amazing sales.I have donated here and will continue to do so and I have shopped here and will absolutely continue to do so!Only downside is they don't have fitting rooms so you have to try things over your clothes.

Warning!! Although this store receives beautiful donated items that are intended to be sold, to help raise money to shelter victims of domestic abuse, the “volunteers” have first dibs at donated items and many of the donations never make it out to the sales floor. This is unfortunate, I have witnessed it multiple times, but do not know who to speak to. I tried to purchase a Murano glass looking item today and when I asked the volunteer at the counter, she said something like “I’m taking that”. So I went to the woman that seems to be the manager (an older woman with dark curly hair and glasses) she said “let me check” . She walked over and after speaking to the first woman that I had asked, she came back to me and said the item couldn’t be sold. I asked why not and she would not give me an answer. I’ve seen other volunteers putting things aside for themselves on several separate occasions . This is not fair to the shoppers nor is it fair to the Women in Distress organization.

The "volunteers" get first dibs at all the nice things donated by generous members of the Broward County community. The manager allows this. When patrons ask about certain items kept behind the counter, they are told that those items are no longer available. This is so wrong and unfair to the Women in Distress organization that relies on the funds from sales at Women in Distress. I even asked the Manager Eileen and she refused to answer. It's not VOLUNTEERING if you get compensated by getting to shop the store for your choice of items.

Love this place. Clean, friendly (Eileen the manager is a doll). Wed is 55+ sale 35% off. Most days there is some promotion 25-50% off. You have to dig a little but lots of great finds, particularly women's clothing. Prices can be a little weird but I always find I pay close or even less at the register than I anticipate. They will charge based on what it actually is, not on where you found it ie a men's shirt for $5 will be a men's shirt even if you found it on a women's rack that says $3. Just part of thrifting. If ya know, ya know! I like this store. It relaxes me. Found manga, great CD's and lots of great clothes! Miles better than the GW and SA nearby. Both real bait and switch joints! "Blue tags on sale." Good luck finding one! Not a blue tag in the house! Waste of time! peace

I love this thrift store! I shop here often and every time I go, I find something. The staff are always nice and helpful. I don't understand the other negative reviews. Can't be talking about the same place because this store is a gem!

I arrived at 3:45 with a bag of clothing that don’t fit me-some brand new with tags. The front of the store says to go to the back which I did and proceeded to knock on the door for over 15 min with no one opening. I called the store 3x to let them know that I was there but no one answered. I sent my friend to the front of the store to let someone know and she was told that they stopped taking donations at 4pm. Now mind you - this is now 4:05 and I’ve been knocking in the door for donations since 3:45.A woman finally came out to the door I was at and she told me the same thing. Oh yea - and it was pouring rain. I exceptions even after I explained that no one answered the door for over 15 min.I love WID and the work they do and being a survivor of abuse I am that much more inclined to donate to them. But this was horrible treatment and really not acceptable.

I usually come on Wednesdays to take a quick look and I like a blue dress, As the line is already getting ,full.I asked,a lady on the Floor if she could assist me to get the ?,on ,Display manique. Before, please can you tell me How much is it? She quickly answers 5$!! WEDNESDAY, Then, I couldn't believe that ,I found A blue dress, she was struggling removing the dress and not being carefully to avoid any damages,.Then I waited, for the Manager,Melissa, to finish ung up sales at the line. When is my time to checkout line, she Coldness attitude it's 10$!! Then she asked me if I'm a Senior, then she Told me No,it's RED, MARK.I thinking, what's her problem? Every TIME I VISIT HERE ,feeling untreated, IM HANDICAP,. NOT WELCOMED HERE!... THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME, AWFLE, AND very frugal. I UNDERSTAND PEOPLE HAVE THERE OWN TROUBLES. TODAY IS A NEW DAY,BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THIS BEHAVIOR, MADE ME NOT TO COME HERE AGAIN, SHE SEEMS VERY FRIENDLY,WITH OTHER LADIES..,AND WITH ME SHE IS RUDE. NOW YOU CAN KEEP THE DRESS AND PUT IT BACK ON THE (DOLL .I HOPE ALL THE GOOD VIBES FOR YOU,WASN'T THE MONEY, ,WAS THE Dissatisfied, dissapointed.

If you find anything of value, they change the prices. I get that it's for a good cause, but they don't honor their error. I found three Waterford glasses on the glass shelf and when I went to purchase them the cashier said the workers had mis marked them and couldn't sell them to me at the price marked. Always ask when you walk in if they honor their marked prices. Furthermore this is a thrift store with donated merchandise.

Before making the trip to drop off donations it’s a good idea to make sure they are open first and excepting donations. Definitely an organization to donate with. The store is clean and well organized.
