We love Margate Animal Hospital. We made an appointment with Cats Exclusive far in advance for a feral cat with a long standing injury. After hours working to trap the cat and driving 30 minutes for the appointment, CE cancelled our appointment upon arrival because their power went out. We would likely not have been able to retrap the cat again who since he was already so tense, so I immediately called MAH.
Mary was so understanding of our situation and squeezed us in within 15 minutes. Not knowing what to expect, we were quickly at ease when the doctor came into the exam room with two techs - one with elbow-high suede gloves and the other with a heavy blanket and cat leash. CE was going to sedate him before examining him and we were worried about it because he is an older cat. But MAH knew exactly how to prepare a feral for an exam without putting him under.
The doctor asked questions to come up with the best treatment plan as we would not have been able to administer oral mediation to the cat ourselves or nurse him since we have 4 of our own cats in our home. We decided to have them keep him at the hospital for 7 days so he could heal. We expected such a treatment plan because of the cats type of injury so this put us at ease as well.
In addition to daily updates from the staff, the doctor provided video and photos via text and responded directly to my questions. Be aware they do ask for payment upfront, but their prices are very reasonable. They also go over a detailed list of costs with you beforehand.

My personal experience with Dr Berrios and his staff is that can’t be more amazing every time I go there with my furry kiddos. The care and support is excellent I been a client for over 8y. Any questions is always explained to my family with clarity and lots on information for us to make decisions on the best care for our dogs. We will always recommend them. Thank you guys for being there for us all the time ??

When I went to this vet I couldn't pay over $400 for 4 xrays shots. So I asked them to do just 2. I was charged over $200.But I don't believe any x rays were ever done as I was unable to obtain them. When I asked for them several times I was finally sent about 10 x ray photos which were of a different dog, not mine & that was confirmed by another vet & specialist vet. They were not the xrays to my dog! I don't believe ANY xrays were ever taken of my dog Zeus altho I was charged

I've been taking my cat Mystique here since I adopted her 2 yrs. ago. Everyone in the office, especially Mary, is so warm and friendly.Dr . Berrios is an amazing vet that always gives her a thorough exam. From spaying her to just having her claws clipped ( she won't let me near them), when I take my baby there she is in the best hands. Appointments are easy to get and prices are so reasonable.I was lucky to find Margate Animal Hospital and wouldn't take Mistique anywhere else.

I recently switched vet hospitals and started coming here to Margate Animal Hospital. I’ve brought in four of my pets and the experience is always very pleasant. Mary the office manager and doctor Berrios are both very friendly and knowledgeable. The hospital is clean and conveniently located. Best vet hospital I’ve been too.
