The old guys attitude makes you wanna leave as soon as you walked in. I really wanna help local business but they have no reason to be so nasty And disrespectful. No sir. It didn't happen like that. The min I asked you for the stem you gave me attitude. I got it n my phone because I wanted to make sure you he size would fit my build. But you just snatched the staff of my hands. I also was looking to get a seat stand and some knowledge but it seems like you don't have the patience. No information was provided at the end he seems so busy. But I was his only customer. So get it straight brother. And change your attitude. now I'm another bike shop purchasing what I need because I got the help I need. No nasty attitude. Thanks! Have great day!

Been coming here since 80’s. Met Frenchie face to face. Very friendly and gave me the best deal on what I was looking for. Set up the bike for my Personal needs. Quality merchandise and service. Long live Frenchies

I figure these folks may specialize with children - which is fine. But for adults looking for full sized bikes I'd very strongly suggest looking elsewhere. While shopping around for a bike (ended up with a Trek Roscoe 8) I stopped by several shops including this one. By far this was the worst experience I had.
The gentleman that 'assisted' me heard me say I was looking for a bike, glanced at me, and proceeded to show me to a bike he was adamant was what I needed. The Haro Doublepeak he showed me was comically overpriced, probably a size too small for my build, and he was able to provide no details as to why this was the bike I needed other than because he said so and it was 'a nice bike'. I imagine it was the right bike for me because it was the one he wanted to sell.
When I asked to test ride it I was curtly told no test riding as he 'only sells new bikes'. After that point I'd realized this was just about the last place I'd ever spend good money on a bicycle and took my leave for greener pastures.
Wish them the best but they're surrounded by far superior competitors in my opinion. The local Trek - ironically the big brand - was leagues more personable and helpful. As for a local small option I'd suggest Bike Forza who were truly fantastic even though I ended up going a different route. Unfortunately I would suggest skipping Frenchie's entirely.

Highly recommend not just for bike riding lessons but also for a great selection of bikes. Both my children (with very different levels and personalities) succeeded with Frenchie's lessons. He's very experienced and doesn't apply pressure to purchase equipment. We ultimately did purchase upgraded helmets for the kids. Also purchased a bike for my husband with no issues.

Lesson learned, my father needed the chain replaced on the bike, and now I regret not accompanying him. They charged him to replace a chain, what other shops charge for a full bike tune-up.
I'm assuming they took advantage once seeing my father is an older gentleman.
Additionally He also mentioned the curt attitude of the person "supposedly helping him"
Do yourself a favor and go to a shop that values honesty and customer service.

Recently got my tires and tubes changed. Excellent service. The owner is direct and truly wants what's best for his customers. He puts the bandaid to all of your bike problems!

I joined my child on her final bike-riding lesson this morning and found myself wishing I had known about Frenchie's many years earlier.
Whether you are wanting your child to learn how to ride a bike, or an adult who needs more confidence, you cannot find a better place! The owner is warm, funny, caring, and great with kids of all ages. They have a large selection of bikes and equipment, full repair and maintenance services, but without the super-serious biker attitude that sometimes permeates bike shops.

My 6 year old just finished bike lessons with Frenchie and we were very pleased with the experience and Frenchie is definitely an expert when it comes to teaching kids and has the method down to a science. We also bought a bike and helmet from Frenchie for my son and its great quality for a fair price.
Highly recommend and big thanks to Frenchie!

As a Margate resident for over 25 years, Frenchies has always been the go-to for any of my bicycle repair needs. Wanting to get back on two wheels I recently bought two bicycles that were both over 10 years old and needed some love after sitting in a garage for some time. I brought them in same-day and had a great experience as always. Frenchie and his team are old school, top-notch, no frills and won’t sell you junk or recommend anything you don’t need. In just two days they got both bikes tuned up, new tires, new inner tubes, brakes, fixed a derailer issue on both and cleaned/greased all the parts. They ride like new - it really made all the difference. Also, ever since I went there as a kid they always have had a friendly Cockatoo bird that will greet you at the counter…pretty cool Haha.
I recommend this business for life, Thank you guys!!

I got some new tires and tubes from Frenchie and I ran over something the next day and punched through the tube. I brought it back in and he swapped with a new tube and fixed it at no charge. Great customer service and he stands behind his work even when it’s not his fault, lol! Pretty rare in this day and age, highly recommended and amazing shop! Thks again Frenchie! 5 Stars!

As FRENCHIE said as I walked in with a bike I purchased from him they don’t make that one any more and it’s looks like it’s got 100,000 miles on it. Well it probably does. ?. Can you bring it back up speed or should I buy a new one!.Could have sold me a new trek but did his magic and went over everything. Great job fixing everything and providing a safe fun bike to ride.
