I asked the "pro" for coating/protector for my bamboo floors.... He sold me a product that specifically said "not for use on floors" when I went back the cashier said there was no need to insult anyone, I was just stating the employee doesn't know the products.

Staff knows what obscure hardware is, they have it, and the staff knows where it is! If you need an odd screw, bolt, dodad, etc, this is the place to go....
