We just spent a month in the boatyard grinding, sanding, painting, thru hulls, etc. and Dottie and her Crew are wonderful. Everyone is attentive, knowledgeable, patient, hardworking with a smile and we are happy to recommend them. Kudos to Safe Harbor Marathon!

It is a beautiful, excellent place, the truth is I don't have any criticism, I will definitely return, it is clean, super beautiful, beautiful view and quiet, the pool is super, everything is good, I recommend the RV area super

I have experience with Safe Harbor, and this place is off the hook. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The pool was outstanding with lots of high-class furniture. Tikis and gathering areas throughout. This location also had a travel lift to address any problems as a boater. A+++. Thank you for a perfect stay. I will visit again.

Let me start out by saying that I am very happy with all the Safe Harbor Marinas I have stayed at including my home marina in Connecticut. I would recomend any boater i meet to stay with them. They have been nothing short of great. Safe Harbor Marathon is an exception. I stayed there for part of the 23/24 winter. From the moment I spoke to Allysa the dockmaster on the phone about my upcoming stay that winter I was inundated with there rules and regulations on what you couldnt have at the marina or do at the marina. I had just paid my security deposit a few days before we spoke. When i asked about canceling my reservation she told me I would not get my deposit back even though my stay was almost a month away. so against my better judgement I decided to stay there that winter. Every other marina I have ever stayed at treats their guests like guests. Safe harbor Marathon treats it's guests more like inmates. While I was back at home for a few weeks, i received a phone call from a boater in marathon who had hit my boat in the marina and done some damage. When I called Allysa to get the other boaters insurance information etc. She refused to give me the information. I finally had to call the Monroe county sherrifs dept. to file a report and have them get the information. To my surprise the sheriff told me she would not give him the information either. Luckily in the end the boater did the right thing and reimbursed me for the repairs. No thanks to Safe Harbor Marathon. When I asked Dotty in the office about leaving 2 months early she told me I signed a contract and would be responsible for the remaining 2 months and I would lose my security deposit. A total of about $6,500.00 even though that sounded ridiculous to me I decided I could not stay at a marina like that anymore. If Safe Harbor Marathon responds to this review they will say I left without any notice which is true, but after Dotty's remarks I had nothing to lose so I left and went to another marina for the rest of the winter. I would rather lose thousands of dollars than stay there one more night. If you are ever in Marathon do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else but Safe Harbor Marathon.

Spent 10 days at Safe Harbor Marathon in May of 2024. Beautiful Marina, very clean and very helpful folks who work there. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you to the team there !

Wonderful marina with Quite a few amenities. haul out, fuel, bar and restaurant, rv spots, pool, apartments. Very nice place to just stop and have lunch even if you don't have a boat

I have had the pleasure of visiting Marathon Marina over the past 15 year well before Safe Harbor took the reigns. I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days there in February and had an amazing time. Dottie and her team have done an amazing job with this facility and have brought it to the next level. The fuel prices were also the lowest in the area(reason enough to stop by!!!) I look forward to our next visit.

Rick & staff very competent. Enjoyed our stay. I think here name may have been Laura - she was a delight & most competent dock/line handler we have come across. Some nice restaurants within walking distance. Will be back.

Great crew! Couldn’t have been nicer! Clean, quiet and scenic! Walk to numerous restaurants or take an $8 cab anywhere on the island! We provisioned at Publix!nAdjacent RV pask and Lazy Days Bar and Grill. Unbelivable sunset views!

A little disturbing regarding kicking the live a boards out of the marina, probably just more corporate greed from Safe Harbor Marinas - it is all about the money. A sad state of affairs for boaters in Florida (and the east coast) with Safe Harbor buying up everything in sight and raising all the prices x 2 when they want to.

I just want to give a shout out to Marathon (Safe Harbor) Marina. We had an electrical issue on an overnight stop at Boot Key. The yard manager (Chris?) on a busy Saturday morning came by on short notice and spent 30-40 minutes trouble shooting it for us. What a great guy. Not so much the dockmaster gal in the officefice who we heard call us idiots when speaking to the fuel dock man on speaker phone :) . But all in all a very nice overnight stay with helpful staff.
