Circle K has recently opened a new, larger store that features many more gas pumps and a well-stocked convenience store, making it one of the best gas station options in the Keys. The store is clean, spacious, and offers a variety of hot and ready foods, as well as liquor, wine, and beer. There is a picnic area outside where customers can eat comfortably. The staff member at the cashier was friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive shopping experience. However, some challenges exist. The staff can be uninformed and face language barriers, especially in a diverse community. There is often inconsistency in training—some employees are unclear about deals that require scanning the Circle K app, leading to confusion at the register. Signs indicating deals are not always clear about the need to scan the app, causing customers to miss discounts or find out only at checkout. Additionally, the self-checkout stations are underused, with staff preferring to handle transactions at traditional registers, which can be inconvenient for customers wanting to use self-checkout. While the new store is a significant upgrade, the bathrooms need better cleaning, as they were found in poor condition at times. Overall, it’s a convenient and well-stocked location with friendly staff but room for improvement in staff training, communication, and cleanliness.
