1/2024 This review still stands. I cannot under any circumstances recommend this place to any decent human being after reading the email I received from the director Danielle. It is clear that they have no integrity and choose to not take any accountability for their actions. Their leadership style is "let's ignore facts and skirt things under the rug." It is my experience that they lack empathy and are not to be trusted.✨✨✨?If you are a parent you must know this. ✨✨✨✨➡️Your child is not safe at their events.➡️The staff are not educated in conflict resolution among the children so when a child chooses to repeatedly hit your child you bet they will skirt it under the rug and they have.➡️They claim that it is developmentally appropriate for a child to hit and as such will not be considerate, empathic, or give one iota about the emotional damage your child has incurred.➡️Their negligence on this matter is so extreme they won't even allow you as a parent to intervene and protect your child. If you do, you will be maligned. It is in fact part of their program due to the delusion that this is what developmentally appropriate means. It does not. It is our job as adults to guide and facilitate the emotional wellness of children and provide ways to provide emotional safety for them and to teach self regulation and emotional regulation.I.e.: The appropriate response when a child hits another is to intervene and an adult should escort the child away from the others for safety measures to be given the emotional support and connection they need to come back emotionally regulated and ready to contribute in a positive way with their friends.???Attend one of their events at your own risk. They do not care about the safety of your child.???In my twenty years as an educator, I have never encountered a facility that did not take hitting seriously and understand child development enough to understand how to navigate it. I am sad to say this is my first time seeing this inaccurate understanding of child development and it is extremely dangerous because they believe they do know about child development and what developmentally appropriate means. We die at our own peril when we are under the illusion we know what we don't know and are unwilling to have enough self awareness to understand that someone else may have valuable input given their master's in education and over twenty years experience working with children of all ages in different capacities.I understand children need support and do not fault a child for not having the emotional skill set to not hit in anger. I fault the adults who are essentially given off the energy "that boys will be boys and hitting is to be expected. "As adults we set healthy boundaries and perameters. We guide. Not the other way around.?You have been warned. I do not normally write negative reviews. I only write them when the safety of children is an issue. Had they responded differently when this problem was brought to them this review would be unnecessary which is even more scary. This review reflects my personal experience with them.

What an amazing hidden gem in Central Florida! This is a must visit for all ages. It is an amazing venue for all events...weddings, parties, school field trips, senior groups, anniversaries, etc. Just an extraordinary space. The grounds are beautiful. The architecture fascinating. The Art Museum is well worth considering for regular visits as the exhibitions change and offer an opportunity to enjoy various artists. The history museum is an interesting look back at the history and culture of the area. And the telephone museum was so fun to visit. Don't overlook a visit here.

Small and interesting museum featuring memorabilia from the 1950’s Cold War, antique appliances, cameras, etc.The town history is well presented with vintage clothing and photos.Entry is free for veterans and $2 for others.Definitely worth a visit.

Although it is better known for being a venue for weddings, the truth is that as a museum and historical place, it is wonderful. It has a select and interesting collection of art.It is divided into two areas, part of it can be visited for free, the other has an admission cost of $6 dollars, $5 for seniors and children (5-17) but if you are a student (UCF, Valencia, Seminole), military or veteran it is free. The staff is very friendly and willing to provide you with the information you need. A place that is totally worth visiting.

As a wedding photographer, this venue is the most unique one I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. The architecture is stunning and the little chapel is just so quaint! I’ve photographed a proposal, a full wedding, and wedding portraits here, and each time is truly such a pleasure! The staff is committed to making each couple’s love story come to life! The art and history makes you feel like you’re stepping into a time warp in all the best ways. I find something new every time I come here!

I really enjoyed this, but maybe not for everyone. The courtyard garden is lovely; the Aztec-inspired courtyards across the street were interesting, and the Telephone Museum was fun. It had the rare air of a place I might visit often if I were living in the area. Peaceful & contemplative. Apparently very popular for weddings, so not so peaceful then!

The buildings are sprawled across two areas. The museum used to be an artist residential colony, it is still active with a few artists-in-residence. It is small and quiet with Mayan revival and mission architecture. There is a quiet beauty about the courtyard. Next door is the Florida Native People’s museum and Telephone museum.

My DJ company, King Entertainment Events (Orlando, FL) performed a wedding at Maitland Art and History Museum over the weekend, and the staff was top-notch. We provided sound for the ceremony, uplights, monogram and DJ Services. From the moment we got there until we left, it was 5-star service across the board. Our load-in was super easy, and the staff was very accommodating. Great experience!

It was a nice venue to get married at but the add ons in order to have a wedding here is crazy. Renting chairs the through their vendor almost 500 dollars, I have rented tables and chairs from a local man for 40 dollars and the stuff is in great condition. You must used their options for food catering. I went with cocktails and catering , I want even discuss that at all just know not a wonderful choice. This place needs to be a bit more inclusive to ethnicities when it comes to things especially the food items.I only rate this place a 2 because I really hate that have this pick only out vendors and nothing else.Changed my rating because the scenery was really nice here p

Superb museum with extraordinary art, studios, sculptures and a telephone museum. So much to see from this small museum loaded with beautiful artwork and perfect lighting. The Mayan sculptures and architecture is amazing. It's a combination of gardens and museum of the past. You can enjoy the walk through the studios and enjoy nature and flowers. The amazing telephone museum is one of a kind anywhere. A must see!
