Way over-priced. Unfortunately they are the only canine specialists in town and they price their services that way. I’ve had to return to them 4 times now for the same condition with my dog. Each time I’m charged another large fee for a 15 minute exam. Not good.

The doctor and staff were wonderful with my dog. She got scratched in the eye by a cat, and after 4 weeks of antibiotics and an all clear from my regular vet, it was still inflamed and had a discharge. They were able to get me right in and found that a piece of the cat's claw was lodged under her 3rd eyelid. She said that it was something our regular vet would never have found with a regular exam. They were able to remove it and Raven was put on drops for a month and she got an all clear. No vision loss or other permanent problems from the incident. I would highly recommend this clinic!

One of my dogs was having an ocular emergency while we were visiting from out of state. They were able to see my dog the same day I called, provide a diagnosis and treatment. Great staff. Very caring and compassionate (they even brushed him out since he was blowing out his coat). Extremely grateful. Highly recommend

Everyone was so helpful and able to get my Poodle in quickly for his eye discomfort. I called Friday and he was in Monday for an appointment and was in surgery Tuesday for ectopic cilia. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable and Dr. Villar was very thorough with explaining the procedure to me and checking all of his eyelids to make sure there wasn’t anything else bothering him. I am thankful that my Cooper is going to be feeling a lot better now. Thank you so much.

I'm a general practice veterinarian in Orlando, and I have complete trust in Dr. Priehs and the entire team here. They have taken excellent care of my own dog who needed more specialty eye care than I was able to provide on my own. I am so thankful to have such a great resource so close to my practice and home.

My dog, Bella, has been dealing with a non-healing corneal ulcer for the last 3 weeks and with no success of healing. I emailed Animal Eye Associates on 10/10 around 7pm and they called me 10/11 at 8:30am. They were able to get Bella in at 10:45am, that same day. Once I arrived, they took her inside and called me with her diagnosis of SCCED. Dr. Denis recommended a small procedure that could also be done today. Everything only took about one hour, from start to finish. I am so grateful they were able to fit her in so fast and perform her diagnostics/procedures same day! Highly recommend.

We have been patients here for almost 2 years with our bulldog who has had chronic dry eye, ulcers that require surgery, blepharitis, you name the eye issue - she’s probably had it!The staff here is all so friendly and knowledgeable and I truly credit Dr. Denis with keeping my dog being able to see pain free. I am very happy with her care her and would recommend this office to anyone who has animals with eye issues. They’re truly top notch. The care is expensive here but so, so worth it. Thank you Dr. Denis and staff for all you have done and continue to do!

This place cares more about making money than the welfare of your pets. They will try to get you to come in an unnecessary amount of times and prolong the treatment of your pet. My boyfriend’s dog was being treated here and given medication to help with his glaucoma. Unfortunately upon getting a second opinion we were told he had a severe infection in his eye and the only option was removal. I wish we took him to get a second opinion earlier. It cost us over $1,200 to keep coming here and then another $1,200 for the eye removal. Not to mention my dog suffering for longer than he needed to.

I'm deeply disappointed by my recent experiences at this clinic. I entrusted my dog's health to them, and unfortunately, I feel let down.Despite expressing concerns about my dog's eye condition during multiple visits, the issue was consistently missed. It was only after seeking a second opinion that I learned my dog had a long-standing ulcer, which ultimately led to the removal of his eye. They advised they didnt see the ulcer (which is their job to do) & Rachel said "Dr. GOOGLE ISNT A THING" when I did their job for them & had to reseach what a dent in the eye means in dogs. I also went to a veterinarian & he said its an Ulcer but Rachel said he didn't diagnose it so there's no proof it was in fact that. He didn't have the tools to diagnose at the time so sent me to another optomologist. Dr. Priess contacted me & sent me a single voice-mail I left & stated I mentioned nothing on an Ulcur, though I left a few voice-mails & have asked for the audio of the other 27 calls incoming & outgoing that was done just in August. I have contacted then 10 days ago requiring a refund to go to my dogs surgery or I'll be seeking legal advice. I am now advised to ignore any contact from this clinic unless they remedy this situation by the former requests. This ordeal has been emotionally distressing for both me and my pet. I expected better care and communication from a professional clinic. My hope is that this review serves as a reminder to improve diagnostic processes and prioritize patient well-being.

***** Customer Beware*****We went to Animal Eye Associates for eye surgery on our 7 month-old 80lb cane corso puppy, Cleo, who had cherry eyes in both eyes. The procedure was explained to my husband and I that if the eye pops back out naturally we would have to pay again which we agreed to. We paid them over $2000 dollars to do the surgery for both eyes. We got the surgery done on a Thursday and when we picked Cleo up she was heavily sedated. She was groggy on Friday, but after the sedation completely wore off on Saturday, Cleo started doing everything to get the cone off of her head which caused one of her eyes to pop back out. We called them and explained to them what happened and was told to come in on Tuesday. However, I called on Monday morning to see if we could come in immediately instead. When we went back on Monday I had to ask them for sedatives to keep Cleo calm while her other eye healed. When asked why we didn’t receive the medication from the start they said its not common practice, and that it was a judgement call. I spoke to the office manager who was less than helpful and she said that we would have to pay again (approx. $900) since her eye popped back out naturally which was incorrect. My husband and I even asked to speak to the owner, thinking he would be more reasonable and would work with us, given the situation, but he read from the same office script and refused to work with us. He ‘agreed to disagree,’ saying it popped out naturally, so we would have to pay again. Immediately after talking to him, I requested Cleo’s file and in their own report they wrote that “Cleo’s e-collar was completely destroyed and the suture was gone, so most likely she was too active and was somehow able to damage the surgery site.”After reading the negative reviews I see were not the only ones. Hopefully this review gives you an insight to Animal Eye Associates business practices and help save someone from going through the same issue. I would be filing complaints with all the appropriate parties moving forward and weigh my options for small claims court.

My vet referred my senior Shih Tzu here for treatment for an eye ulcer that was having trouble healing. Dr. Priehs and his team have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Pricing has been really reasonable. Very happy with our experience.

I took my dog here after having this office recommended by our veterinarian. This was a quick visit, I didn't have to wait long and I was called with updates (I wasn't allowed inside for the exam, but I was contacted a few times by staff to keep me in-the-know). The office staff were very kind. My dog is reactive, so they were attentive and patient with him, which I appreciate.
