“This butcher shop has been around for two generations. Mike is a stand up guy who is a one man show carrying on his father’s legacy. The bacon and Italian sausage was amazing. Trying the chuck, flank steak and chicken next. Pre-orders only but if you stop in Mike will give you the run down. Ordering a whole brisket for our next party. Closed Sunday thru Tuesday. We placed an order Saturday for pickup Wednesday. You can call your order in. A true local gem! Thank you Mike”
“An extraordinary market place where one might find all the tastes of Arabic cuisine, from breads, biscuits, teas & coffee, to fresh butcher and produce.The staff are polite above and beyond, and are helpful for customers unfamiliar. “We visited this market and I have to say, it is big. We didn’t get a chance to walk the entire thing because we were short on time but we will be back. Now, we were hungry so we did stop at the cafeteria to eat and people, it’s a little pricey. I’m used to Hmart prices so I may be a little bias but $22-23 for a bento box is crazy. The food was good and the service quick after kiosk ordering but I just can’t get over the food prices. However we will go back solely for the grocery side.”
“Great place. The prices are great. The hot food section and food is one of the best I have had in Tampa. I only wish they would close a little later. Getting of work at 5:00, when I get there I feel I have to rush into buying what I need. So when I go there I try to have my list of needed items ready. I would recommend. The owner ate from Dominican Republic, so I love it because I find that they something have fruits from the Island that I love.”
“I love coming here. Food is always good. Theirs female twins that work there and one of them always makes sure to give out oxtails that actually have meat on them unlike a couple of other people there. $8 for lunch is a steal especially if u get it from here”

“Before spanish colmados started popping up like mushrooms in a wet pasture, many years ago this place was my go to for latino products. Two decades later, there is just one thing I come for, whole goat leg.Nothing much has changed here. A small very crowded (with product) market with small aisles that houses all the basic essentials for latin american ciusine. A butcher shop provides fresh chicken, beef and pork. Most all other products like rabbit, seafood, goat and lamb are sold frozen. An aisle with fresh vegetables and fruit and the entire back and one side offer refrigerated drinks and various other sundries.Located on W. Waters Ave. and Manhattan the shop is a cornerstone to a 2 level plaza (strip center). Here as long as I can remember it seems like it's caught in time and looks exactly the same.”
“We ordered the food for our baby shower here, it was delicious. Everyone loved it. We got yellow rice, rice with black beans. Stewed meat and stewed chicken. Salad and sweet plantains.”

“My husband decided to stop there to grab a quick meal. The place does not disappoint. They have many options of meat, including beef, pork, and chicken, all cooked in different ways. The lady who served us was really nice , showed us all the different types of dishes and gave us enough food for 2 in one plate. We got white rice, black beans, ropa vieja and yuca.”

However, they offer ethical items that are not widely available. The staff is friendly and happy to serve regardless of the language barrier. “The bakery in this market is awesome! The ladies in the back are so kind and very helpful in explaining the items to me, someone that has no knowledge of the types of freshly baked goods made daily. They were so kind that they allowed me to taste one of the pastries first. When I bit into the dough it was like biting into a fluffy cloud with the delicious three cheeses inside. It was such a positive experience and the food being so delicious that I find myself going back on a regular basis.”

“For those that care...
Since the closing of Silver Ring in WC, it has been impossible to find a real Cuban sandwich north of Hillsborough County. Far too many places serve a Miami (no salami), use pulled pork (rather than sliced), or simply get the ingredient ratios all wrong.
I have intended to try Mac's Custom Meats, 26316 Wesley Chaple Blvd (near the airport), for what seems like several years. I finally did.
I am thrilled to say, Wesley Chapel now has a proper Cuban Sandwich!”
