These anesthetics have specific modes of action that block nerve impulses and produce an anesthetic effect. When mixed together before use, the BLT numbing creams can provide maximum analgesic effect on the skin for up to 30 minutes. The longer-lasting effect is due to the cream's thicker consistency that allows it to adhere to the skin for a longer period.
